Additional Information: Ginny is smart & traveled real well her one cross-country trip from MN to OK, even with an over-night, in November 2006.

Now I'm getting ready to bring her back home to MN.
She's 20 yrs. old & healthy.
I've had her since she was a baby & she is irreplaceable.
This is a one-way trip from Poteau, OK to Belle Plaine, MN.
She doesn't have her Coggin's yet nor her vet-check. There is time until I get that done & have the money in hand to ship her.
I just don't want to wait once I have her all ready to ship. I plan to do this as soon as I'm ready, sometime this spring, so there is a lot of flexibility on the date.
I will be in MN at the time she is shipped, there will be people at the ranch where she is to be picked up. I will plan to have her caught & ready to load.
She's Half-Arabian/POA. She's spirited but very responsive to kind handling. She jumped right up into the van for the long-distance trip, but once in a while a butt rope is all that's needed if she doesn't walk right in within a resonable time or shows any resistance. She is used us doing that with a soft loading rope behind her to just encourage her & it hasn't upset her yet in 20 yrs.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello, we have a trip planned to MN the beginning of May. Would that work for you? Thanks, Painted Sky Transporters. (3/29/2008)
Response: If she & I ready by then, that time wouldn't be an issue. I certainly want to bring her back home as soon as we are both ready. We have been separated for most of the past 9 months now. That's the first we've been separated in 20 years! We're best buddies, so this has been so hard. Ginny is irreplaceable to me. She's a tough pony & shipped real well last time, but she really did get top-notch tender loving care & was the only one in the 4-horse slant being hauled at the time. The guy got out every 3 hrs. & even petted & played with her. He was just starting out, so I guess that was a little unusual. But he hugged her goodbye, my farrier does that, too. She's cute & likeable. Are the horses all separated in your trailer? How many are hauled at a time? Are they turned into boxstalls alone or pens together during layovers? I like that she had support on both sides of her in the slant & she wasn't with any other horses ever. I'd prefer no overnite, if possible. Thanks, Carolyn (3/29/2008)
Response: Our stalls are divided with ceiling to floor gates and your pony would have her own private box stall. We have three other stalls. We would be transporting her in our front stall that is 8x7. Behind that stall there is another stall where there will probably be another horse, but again your pony will be safely seperated from other horse by a ceiling to floor gate. She would be provided with fresh feed and water the entire trip and we stop every 4-5 hrs. to let the horses rest. But there would be one overnight layover because we don't transport any horses over 500 miles a day, that usually rounds out to about 12 hrs. when you include stops for gas, water, and breaks. We are one of the #1 transporters on this site and we have 100% positive feedback from all our customers. While in our care your pony will be treated with uptmost love and respect. If you choose us you can rest assured that your pony will be in loving, caring and patient hands. Thanks, Amber with Painted Sky Transporter (3/29/2008)
Response: Thanks for letting me know. I don't know your price yet. The rest of it sounds good. How do you arrange for the horses to be taken off of the trailer. Even tho' my pony has the best possible care & the trailer was first rate, she had to stand up all night in the slant stall & was very tired when she arrived. It was her first long trip of her life, too. She loves to lay down at night & it would have been find if he had turned her loose into the whole trailer, but he was too afraid she'd get hurt. Otherwise he was about perfect. Let me make sure of one thing. Would she be separated from horses when she would be let off the trailer for the overnite? Thanks, Carolyn (4/1/2008)
Response: Hello Carolyn, are you still needing transport for your pony? Our bid would be for our 8x7 private box stall and she would have access to water, feed and lots of love, the entire trip. Plus, we stop every night and off load the horses/ponies so that they can rest. Did you have a target price that you would like to pay? Thanks, Amber with Painted Sky Transporters. (4/21/2008)
Response: Yes, I am still needing transport. Still working to raise the money & deciding on which shipper to choose. Remind me of how I would pay you. half down & half on safe arrival? Also I need to find out how far ahead I can have the vet shipping Health certificate filled out. I don't know what the maximum time that is good for is. I know that my vet filled out the papers specifically to the shipper I was using. Thanks again, I'll let you know when the time comes. Carolyn (4/21/2008)
Response: We accept 50%, in CASH, at the time of pickup and the remaining 50%, in CASH, upon delivery. And we will need a current cogins and health certificate. The cogins is good for 1 year and the health is good for 30 days. We are hoping to do this trip in about 2 or 3 weeks, so please let us know if you would like us to place a formal bid. Thanks, Amber with Painted Sky Transporters. (4/21/2008)
Response: I must have missed this correspondence from you. Can't find a date for it. when did you say 2 or 3 weeks? I'm finally getting the vet work done on her next. So it shouldn't be more than a week after that, that I'll be doing this fianlly. Thanks for your patience!! Thanks, Carolyn (5/17/2008)
Response: Hello, yes we still have space on our trailer, to transport Ginny, but we will have to charge a bit more then we oringinally quoted you because our trip is now schedualed to go through Oklahoma City, OK, so Ginny is now out our way, for her pickup. Plus, the gas prices have increased. The pickup date would be around May 28th. And our price would be $676 for an 8x7 private box stall. Please, let me know if you would like me to place a formal bid. Thanks, Amber with Painted Sky Transporters. (5/19/2008)
Question: Carolyn, I appreciate your request. My husband left out this morning for Minnesota. When will you be ready for this shippment? Thanks (4/7/2008)
Response: I didn't know how else to get ahold of you when your bid expired. I still don't know exactly when we will be ready. If I had $600. now I could have her vet-check & Coggin's done & could pay for the shipping & I would ship her just as soon as she was ready, within the week. The only thing holding this up is my lack of that amount of money. I'm working on that every day & will eventually have the money in hand sometime this spring, sooner than later. Is there any chance that if I had the Coggin's etc. done & she was ready to ship that we could make any kind of a payment arrangement on part of the shipping cost? right now she is in a very soggy pasture & when I go down there with my husband, as soon as possible this spring, I will have to move her to a different location a little further north before she comes to MN. I plan to do the Coggins & vet-check then. He has to go down there for something else & needs me to go with him. That's where we're at. Thanks so much, Carolyn (4/8/2008)
Question: Hi Caroyl, I am checking to see if you have shipped your horse yet. We can pick up this morning if you are ready. Let us know. Thanks Chris We Haul Horses, Inc (4/15/2008)
Response: Just checked my account. Can't tell what date this question is from. Sorry. I still don't have Ginny ready to ship. That is the next thing to do & then have the money in hand for shipping & pick a shipper. Only thing holding things up is lack of money. I want to bring her home as soon as possible, but don't know exactly when that will be yet. I'm working as hard as I can to earn the money to do it. Some things aren't in my control, but it's closer than ever now. So far so good. That's the latest & best I can do. Thanks, Carolyn (5/14/2008)
Question: Do you still need this transport? Thanks. Tom (4/22/2008)
Response: Yes, I do. The only thing that has been holding this up is me having to raise the total amount of money to cover all the expenses involved in this, for vet, shipping, & whatever it takes to get Ginny back to MN. right now I am raising the money to get her hooves trimmed & to cover all the vet expenses to get a Health Certificate for shipping, Coggins test, up to date with all her shots for shipping & do that far enough ahead so she isn't reacting to the shots & ill during hauling, then raise the $500 to $600. I need for the shipping, about $800. total, I expect. So that's where I am. Hope to have that done in the next couple weeks or as just soon as I have the money. Will ship her as soon as she is ready & I have the money. Last I heard & saw pics she is healthy as usual & then if she's healthy enough for shipping the day before & of shipping, just normal precaution,w/ clear shipper details done,& she can go. How long is a vet Health Certificate good for? 30 days?thanks,Carolyn (4/23/2008)
Question: Hello again Carolyn, this is amber with Painted Sky Transporters, I just wanted to let you know that we still have room for you pony, to have her own private 8x7 box stall on our trailer, please let us know when you are ready for us to place a formal. Thanks, Amber. (4/24/2008)
Response: Please place a formal bid. Ginny has her Neg. Coggings & Health Certificate & is ready & waiting & the second I have enough money in had I will pick a shipper & ship her home, finally. That hopefully should be within a week or two. I have a check that should cover the whole amount that was supposed to come yesterday. Thanks, Carolyn (5/31/2008)
Question: (5/8/2008)
Question: Does Ginny still need a ride? I will be hauling back to Mn. 5/12 and have a empty box stall. I would need $550.00. (5/8/2008)
Response: So I don't know that I could fit in your timetable this time. Because the cost just to have the vet come out down there is so high, I hope to only have him come out for one checkup for her shipping paper vetcheck health certificate, which I understand is good for a month. Yet she should have enough time after the shots so that she is ok from that before she travels. So, I'll see how fast I can get everything done & let you know. Any chance that you might be making this trip again with an empty stall any time soon? Thanks, Carolyn (5/8/2008)
Response: Might get down that way the end of the month, not sure. If Ginny can be ready by 5/13 I will get her to you. (5/8/2008)
Response: Since you don't have any feedback, could you tell me more about yourself, your horse experience & how Ginny would travel will help me to make a final decision on a shipper. I have at least 6 bids. You sound good so far, but it is terrifying for me to have a stranger haul my beloved pet pony. I went on total faith with the nice man who took her down there & it couldn't have turned out better. Even tho' he would have charged me $200. more than most of the bids I've gotten here, I would have had him haul her back now if he was available. He turned out to be a 30 yr. retired police officer from IA & he used taking Ginny to OK as a practice run when starting his hauling business. He's a nice guy & has 2 Arabian horses that he loves & he likes to help people. He only charged me $400! & drove the whole way to my house & to OK & then home to IA empty in a big-rig 4-horse slant. He was hoping to take 2 horses back from MO, but that fell thru', he even hugged her goodbye! Thanks Carolyn (5/8/2008)
Response: 22yrs. as a professional horse trainer (mostly gaited horses) and horse transporter located in central MN. My trailer has 2 large box stalls and I prefer direct runs for the shortest and safest trips. Also the owner of 7 Paso Finos, I love ponies too. Does not look good for the end of the month, will be heading to Fl. instead. Thanks, Thunder Alley Stables (5/8/2008)
Response: Ginny has her Neg.
Question: Hi, Do you still need your pony transported? I am bring two other horses up the week of the 25th in a 6 place trailer so I have plenty of room. I could do this for 350 and would be a same day transport. Please let me know, thanks (5/15/2008)
Response: When she saw her feed/treat go into the trailer before she did last time, she was just waiting to hop up into a totally strange trailer. She seemed to like & trust the guy, too & we gave her enough time. If she gets nervous & balks & it's all safe, we use a butt rope as soon as possible if she starts hopping around & refusing. Then she goes right in fine. I'm pretty sure she doesn know what's coming when we start taking about using the butt rope. Sometimes that's all we need to do. She can be touchy & tempermental, but smart enough to not get herself into trouble & not a mean bone in her body. She likes people, but is somewhat a one-person horse. She's the best savy, handy, sure-footed trail horse/pony I've ever had. A lot of people wouldn't like her tempermentality, but I love the sensativity & finesse I can have with her. Poetry in motion! My vet says she has been so well cared for & healthy that she has many good years ahead of her yet. I'll keep in touch. Thanks, Carolyn (5/18/2008)
