Questions for this shipment:
Question:
We could haul it for you for $3000.00. We will be leaving Alaska in 1 or 2 weeks. Would that work for you? Thanks, Carrie (7/16/2009)
Response:
Hi Carrie, I think this would work. The van has sat for a few years so I would have to get some one to get it up and running. One of my concerns is if the truck is too big for your flatbed. What is your hauling capasity? Do you go to AK. often? If it took me longer to get running are you planning to be in AK again? Do you even need it to be running to haul it? Can you wench it on to the trailer? Where are you located in AK.? Maybe you could go look at the load and tell me what you think. I would be willing to help out with gas if that works for you. So yes we are very interested. I would rather have someone like you haul it instead of one of the commerical guys that don't take as much care. We have made this trip from Willow to Chewelah 6 times pulling a 16ft. flatbed and I never get tired of it but I just don't have the time or equiptment to haul the van. Let me know what you think. Thanks Daniel & Starr (7/17/2009)
Response:
Thanks for your quick reply. There is no need to get the van running. We have a winch and ramps so we can pull it onto the trailer. There is no problem with the size of your van. Our trailer is A 26' long goose neck double dually. We are in Kodiak right now. I'm sure we can haul it. I don't believe there is a need for us to see your van before we load it. Are the tires aired up? If not we will get that done. You don't need to get the tags renewed as it will be on our flat bed trailer. I will put in a bid now and hopefully you will except. I have two other possible loads and I need to get one booked. Yours takes us closer to home than the other two do. In our bid the pickup date may be a few days off due to the fact that we have to deal with the ferry having room for us to get on. Thanks, Carrie (7/19/2009)
Response:
Carrie, I wish we were in Kodiak right now! Yes put in your bid. We have a few more people interested in the load but your feedback is great and it sounds like you take care in what you do. Daniel & Starr. (7/19/2009)
Response:
Thanks, folks. We sure do try to take care of each and every load and have never had any losses. We enjoy what we do and the nice people that we have met. I'm sure that you will catch my note about the deposit. Thanks, Carrie (7/19/2009)
Question:
We will be in Alaska in 5 to 7 days. And will also be back final week of July or first week of august. Could pull on open trailer for $2700. Just let me know and I'll make a bid :-) Eric (7/18/2009)
Question:
Is the van roadworthy & insured to be driven for the Driveaway option? Thanks (7/19/2009)
Response:
Hi Kevin, Driving the van is not an option. Thanks (7/19/2009)
Question:
Hi, This is Carrie again. I did forget to mention one thing. I think it's in our profile but I better mention it any way. We do require 50% at time of pickup. You can get that to us by putting that amount in a special checking account at Bank of America. When you except our bid I will give you the account number. We don't keep much money in there. Thanks again, Carrie (7/19/2009)
Response:
Carrie, This the only way I could find to get in touch with you is this old question. The bid expired before I got to it this morning can you please re-bid. I have a Bank of America account as well so I can just transfer funds upon pick up. Thanks Daniel (7/21/2009)
Response:
Sounds great. I'll rebid right now. Our computer has been down all day. Just got it running. Carrie (7/21/2009)
Question:
Hi, this is Carrie again. I just had an idea in regard to the cost of materials for the windshield protection. If your van is empty we have two ladies who want us to haul a small amount of personal items. We would pay for the materials needed to make the protection for your windshield if we could put their belongings in your van. If it is empty how much space is there in van? Thanks, Carrie (7/21/2009)
Response:
Carrie, I like the idea of the frame and wire. We would also like you to maybe duck tape cardboard to the side window as well. There is alot of stuff in the van now but I think if you wanted to arrange it that there would be at least half you could use for your other clients if that works for you. (7/21/2009)
Response:
Sure we can put the card board over the side windows. I believe though that our plan is to have the 2x4 frame go down the sides past the front windows. At this time our plan is to leave Kodiak on Monday of this coming week. I think that we will try and fit the two gals belongings in your van. Thanks, Carrie (7/21/2009)
