Questions for this shipment:

Question: I have a bus (school type) in Springfield tomorrow coming to Northen Ca. I can have my driver and some hep pick all your stuff up for $550 (11/30/2005)
Response: PS If you can't help with the packing, I may be able to arrange to have it done tomorrow morning. (11/30/2005)
Question: How much packing will the furniture need? This bus is not going to be crowded. Securing the furniture should be good enough. We do not have the man power or the time to really help with packing. We are not commercial truckers. Also, mid afternoon is more like the time to expect us in your area. Chris (11/30/2005)
Response: Thanks for your reply. Well, my parents have a lot of carpet scraps that might be helpful to pad the furniture. If you can get it reasonably secured and padded like that, it might be enough. One question, Chris: I see that you have no history of shipping with this web site. What can you suggest in terms of reassuring us that the delivery will be made. References or deposit or ??? By the way, not sure if you noticed, but literally down the street from my furniture in Dayton is another shipment (one crate) listed on the site that needs to go to a location about 15 miles from me. Thanks, Ford (11/30/2005)
Question: I'm not a commercial driver, that would be one reason I don't have a feedback, but I do a lot of business over the internet. Search Ebay Memeber atachraime, or ask the guy that I just bought this bus from, He will tell you that I only do straight business. I'm also a business man here in the bay area. As far as the deposit goes, I don't think it would make any business sense to give a deposit for every shippment. I will have to be a millionaire. I already have like 8 to ten pick-ups at $200 each I would be pass the broke stage (12/1/2005)
Response: I see you do have a great record on e-bay. OK, tell me how we proceed from here. And did you find the other shipment just down the street from me? It was listed 11-24 and is from Kettering, OH to Vista, CA. Ford PS It's early morning on Thursday now. I checked with my parents (in Dayton) on this. They are nervous not to use an established moving company, even though they might have to pay more to do that. There is obviously a bit more risk going with someone non-comercial like you. If you can give us the best rate possible, it might help. Could you do $450? Ford (12/1/2005)
Question: Ok, let's split the difference$500. I'm making a formal bid so you can accept (12/1/2005)
Response: Hi Chris, Have not seen your bid yet, so can't respond to it yet. Thought I should check if you have guys to help move the two heavy items. My folks are in their 70's, and my brother is out of town today. Will take two strong guys to move the desk. Also, is the bus coming for sure this afternoon, or is tomorrow morning a possibility too? By the way, I have one other brother in Dayton who I might be able to get help move the items with your driver (if you don't have two guys). Ford (12/1/2005)
