Additional Information: Hello,
I have a front axle from a C60 Chevy bus that I need transported from Cleburne, Texas to West Union, South Carolina. The axle is already removed from the bus and is sitting free. You can see from the pic that the tires are still on the axle so moving it by rolling it around is possible. As this is just an axle for parts the load can be uncovered and needs no special care. The dimensions and weight are approximate but it is just a regular front axle with wheels from a bus without the springs. I live close to I-85 in South Carolina.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: Can the tires/wheels be taken of? I have two car on the main floor but can load this on the selving above. Also, will there be help at the pick up to load? Thanks, Jim (1/1/2006)
Response: I don't mind if the wheels are taken off as long as all of the parts and bearings are saved. The spindles and brake hardware including the backing plates is the most important part. I still want the wheels and brake drums though. Would you take care not to damage spindles and backing plates when loading? I will check with the man that I bought it from to see about help. (1/1/2006)
Question: can this be pick up tomorrow morning monday 2 ? if so, i'll deliver the following day. it will be transported in the bed of my pick up. therefore, the wheels have 2/b removed. loading & unloading help is needed. thanks, larry (1/1/2006)
Response: I don't mind if the wheels are removed as long as all of the parts are saved. Could you take care that the spindles and brake backing plates are not damaged during loading and shipping? I will have to check with the man that sold the axle to me about help but on my end helping you is no problem. As for delivery, I will not be able to be there until Thursday Jan. 5. I might need time too to get a response from the man that sold the axle to me. Thanks. (1/1/2006)
Question: I can do this for the target price, I would be able to leave it completely assembled as well but it would be next weekend before I could pickup. Thanks Rob (1/1/2006)
Question: Hello, We are out of NC and are going to be in TX around the 10th of Jan and can bring this to you for $400.00 and keep it in tact(wheels left on just as it is in the picture. Let me know if you are interested and I will place a bid. You can check us out on ebay under the same user ID as here. Thank you Randy (highdollar0) (1/1/2006)
Response: Hello, I am interested in your offer. If I accept your bid what is the deposit and how do you want it? Thanks Randy. (1/1/2006)
Question: I'm sorry, you misunderstood me. I am only going to take the lug nuts off in order to remove the rims/tire. I won't be tpuching anything to do with the bearing or brakes. I will place bid. Thanks, Jim (1/1/2006)
Question: is the front axle 60" length correct ? if so, it should fit in the bed of my pickup without removing the wheels becuz my truck is 70"w. i've a 5th wheel in my truck & will be picking a rv tomorrow morning in Dallis. i think your axle can be tied down between the cab & 5th wheel if 60" is correct. let me know what u think. thanks, larry (1/1/2006)
Question: Hello, We would not require any deposit. We just get cash on delivery. I would need to know if they would have a way to load it and a way unload when it gets to you. I am going to go ahead and and place a bid for .42 per mile based on 945 miles for a total of $400.00 as we discussed. Thank you Randy (highdollar0) (1/1/2006)
Response: Hello highdollar0, I like your offer but to be sure, the price is no more than $400.00, correct? If so we can get this started. Is there anything else you need to know? Write back and let me know and I'll take your offer. (1/1/2006)
Question: Are you still interested in my bid or has this been handled? Thanks, Jim (1/2/2006)
Question: One nice thing about this site. Drivers have hundreds of good shipments to choose from but shippers only have a few, if any, good drivers to choose from. I am canceling my bid. (1/2/2006)
Response: Sorry you feel that way but I can't sit by the computer round the clock and deal with just this. Besides I was waiting for a reply from the guy that I bought the item from. You should allow a little time to get this stuff together if possible. Take care anyway. (1/2/2006)
Question: IS THIS STILL AVAILABLE. WE WILL TRANSPORT AS-IS INSIDE OUR MOVING TRUCK .........SUZIE & TIM (1/2/2006)
Question: Hello, Yes that is correct a total of $400. If this is acceptable just accept the bid and you will get our number and we will get yours and we can get this scheduled and confirmed. Thank you again and we look forward to getting this done for you!!! Randy (highdollar0) (1/2/2006)
Response: Just one more question for you. I'm not sure that there is a way to load the axle other than rolling it. Is that ok? I see that you have a roll on trailer so I hope that is possible. I can help you roll this axle off of the trailer here. Is this ok also? I just want us to be on the same page for everything. I don't want any misunderstandings between us. Thanks. David (1/2/2006)
Question: Yes that will work fine as long as there will be somebody there that can help hold it while we winch it on the trailer. We might need some help holding it and guiding it as we pull it up on the trailer. Thank you again Randy (1/3/2006)
Response: Hello Again Randy, I can't make promises for the other guy but he did seem like a nice enough guy and gave me his address and phone # to help someone to find his place so that the axle could be transported. He may help you. I will help you unload it as much as I can when you get here. You seem like you are really on the ball by the speed of your reply. I will accept your bid after posting this. Thanks, David. (1/3/2006)
