Question: Could some of this ship this week I will have some room on my trail and could shoot a good price if we could do this half this week then half 4-6 weeks later (10/12/2009)

Response: yes, this week is a possibility, but i don't think we could take delivery until 10/25-10/26 unless we got some sort of storage unit. a lot of the furniture could probably go and we'd have to put in some late nights packing some of the rest of the stuff, but i think the plan is possible. thanks. karl (10/12/2009)

Response: bid is on the way for 1/2 of stuff (25 ft space) (10/12/2009)

Response: hello (jeff?) i just don't know if we could have $2500 worth of stuff ready to move so quickly. we probably won't be ready to have stuff loaded until friday. we're getting ready to take a load down this weekend (motorcycles, atv's, 2 cars) so we're busy getting that ready. how much leeway do you have on your pickup date? i can arrange to have someone meet you at a storage unit in alamogordo. i would need a couple of days to get some extra help with loading. what do you think? (10/12/2009)

Response: well I could take the atv/ bikes/car/ misc if that would help- I can wait till Wensday at the latest I have some other folks flying out on Thursday and need to get them Thursday eve in IN. (10/12/2009)

Response: i'm pretty well set to take outdoor equipment on my open trailer so it's not worth a lot to me to have it shipped. could you take that kind of stuff pretty inexpensively? otherwise i'll just have to haul it myself. how much to haul a car (jetta)? (10/12/2009)

Response: cars run around 800- I could do the whole thing in about 3 weeks- I will bid that way also (10/12/2009)

Response: can you haul a car, 3 motorcycles and 3 atv's for $800? if not, we won't be back from new mexico and prepared to move until mid november. (10/12/2009)

Response: I couldn't do it for less than 1400 - Sorrry-- I could do the house the last week of nov /1st week of dec (10/12/2009)

Response: thanks. i've already got everything up on a flat bed trailer so i guess we'll just go with that. the last week of november might work out fine. let's keep in touch. thanks. (10/12/2009)

Response: I am a little confused by what you are doing here. You have had several low bids by the pick-up truck boys - no authority / insurance
crowd. You passed on those and now what me to re-bid my already to cheap bid. Are you a "broker" ? You have all this other stuff also needing hauled from different states. I would rather not get involved in this kind of mix.
Good Luck! (11/28/2009)

Response: i can understand your confusion; you must have us confused with someone else. you originally wanted to split our move into two loads spread out over a month. that didn't work so i asked about moving our cars/motorcycles. based on your bid i moved them myself. i don't have stuff in other states unless you are referring to ebay auctions i have won and needed delivered. the only move i have asked you to bid on is from michigan to new mexico, period! by the way, another mover came and moved some of our stuff and did an excellent job; and to his credit he had his own men load us. he didn't need me to help him load the way you asked me to...so who's really the professional? you obviously are doing well with uship but i don't think you should disparage other carriers who are just trying to make a living, too. i've met some good honest people carrying my stuff with uship. (11/28/2009)

Question: hello i can offer you two 26 ft trucks all loading and unloading for 5,000 please let me know, martin (10/13/2009)

Response: two trucks don't bother me as long as you won't have any other drops or pickups along the way. in your feedback cancellations and poor communication seem to be a problem. do you have good cell phones? because i really get freaked out when i can't contact the shipper who has all of my stuff.
do you have all the necessary equipment to handle an upright piano, washer/dryer, etc.? will you have someone to help load? will you be the person we will actually be working with and doing the pickup/driving/delivery? if i rent a trailer can you haul a car behind you? sorry for all the questions but we are not in the mood for a bad experience and we want this to work for everyone. (also, how's your health? the last guy that moved us was a heavy smoker, easily winded, and got really sloppy and beligerent when he got tired. he was so fatigued at the end of the day that he packed a lawn mower on top of my motorcycle; bad news for everyone). can we purchase insurance to protect stuff? thanks (10/13/2009)

Response: hello first of all my health is good and yes you will have contact with me the whole time i will have 3-4 movers with me and addtional insurance would be 49.00 per 5,000.00 i already give you the standard .60 per lb please ask me anything else, martin (10/14/2009)

Response: i'm not sure which bid is still active and which one is cancelled??? go ahead and send me a good bid. i'm taking my first load of atv's, motorcycles, and a car down this weekend. please make your acceptance time as long as possible to give me enough time to make sure we can have everything packed and ready to go. you'll need ramps to get an upright piano down about 4 steps. thanks. (10/14/2009)

Response: what dates are you thinking you will need, martin (10/14/2009)

Response: tentatively we are looking around end of november. (10/14/2009)

Response: hello i can give you my truck packed full 26 ft for 3,400.00 pick up 12-1 or 12-2 del 12-4 or 12-5 please let me know if you want me to bid, martin (11/24/2009)

Response: hey martin. thanks for the contact. we're really in a time crunch, meaning we have specific dates we need to be moved. we can be picked up anytime after 12/8, but we must be delivered 12/18 because we have to be in california 12/21. will this work for you at all? thanks. karl (11/27/2009)

Response: hello i could pick you up 12-15 drop off 12-18,martin
(11/27/2009)

Response: that would be great except we would not be able to make it by the 18th if we left on the 15th because we're driving 2 vehicles pulling trailers and traveling with kids. we figure at least 4 days, probably 5 to make it. if we see another way around it we'll let you know. thanks. (11/27/2009)

Question: Hello folks this is Chris Hines owner of Mountain Movers based out of Kansas City Mo. We are becoming our towns top ranked movers and for good reason. I only hire clean cut, proffesional, young men who are just downright good movers who have great attitudes. The kind of gentlemen who you would feel safe with in your home. We have been serving the Johnson County Kansas area(one of the richest counties in the US)for going on a decade. I say that to let you know that we have the level of proffessionalism and precision it takes to not just merely survive in todays market but rather flourish. Remember all movers are not created equal:-) I truly say in complete confidence that we will and can give you the best moving experience possible. As far as the logistics of your move are concerned, is the list provided in detail or just estimated? By the looks of the list, there really should be no problem with one 26 footer. I will put my loading ability up against anyone in the business. (10/25/2009)

Response: hello chris. again, sorry this response took so long as we have been on the road hauling some of our stuff down to new mexico. when we move from texas to michigan 8 yrs ago we completely filled a 53 ft trailer and half a u-haul truck. we won't have as much going back, but i'm a little concerned about a 26 ft truck. we will have quite a few boxes, exercise equipment, a piano, just a little furniture, and 2 cars. let me know what you can do. thanks. karl (10/26/2009)

Question: Anyway we can go into the details later, however I would like to reinforce, that with Mountain Movers we take our job seriously for one, two, we love what we do and do it well, and third you will be very pleased. I garuntee it:-) I will look forward to hearing from you. Thank you, Mountain Movers (10/25/2009)

Response: sorry to take so long to answer your inquiry. i have been on the road for a few days taking our first load to alamogordo. i don't think we're going to have as much as i first thought and it doesn't look like i'm going to get the full $5000 to move. i will probably have to amend my original bid request. i think i'll have a piano, some exercise equipment, a few pieces of furniture and a couple of cars to transport. are you still interested? (10/26/2009)

Response: Thank you for the bid request. I am finally getting a chance to catch up on emails. As far as your move is concerned, what dates were you looking at? I will be able to facilitate your move for the cost of 3,500 to 4,300. Depending on items needing transported. If you can send me a complete list that would be outstanding. I will give you my word there would be no cancelations, no hidden charges, no weird moving fees, or no lazy bum movers with attitudes. Just a great move with no stress for a great price. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank You, Mountain Movers (10/27/2009)

Response: hello. we're looking at approximately early december. i don't think i can list everything but i can give you an estimate. a couple of beds, maybe 3, 5-6 chest of drawers, dining room table, washer/dryer, exercise equipment (treadmill, recumbent bicycle, stationary bicycle), 2 cars (small sub-compact, one is a smart car 2-seater), misc. boxes (maybe 100?), upright piano, handtools and some other stuff that i'm sure i'm forgetting, but i don't think it would be a lot. thanks. (10/28/2009)

Response: Outstanding! Sorry for the lack of fluidity in coversation via postings. It has been super busy. Sounds great, first week of December is currently available. We usually book 2-3 weeks out. I know you mentioned previosly that your load had considerably less than originally expected. Getting two trucks if neccessary is no problem, however do you think it will all fit in one if professionally loaded? I say this just for the sake of giving you a 100 percent accurate bid that would be binding, and hopefully give you the peace needed to make a logical, sound decision on the company in which you would hire. Thank You, Mountain Movers (10/29/2009)

Response: hello chris. i had to relist the shipment. we'll go with your last option of $3500 without the cars. we appreciate your flexibility working with us and look forward to a good move. when you said "no cussing, no drinking, no smoking" that was important to us. we've had some really bad moves in the past. we'll await your re-bid. thanks.
karl (11/23/2009)

Question: After doing the best to figure out how I can fit in and accommodate your moving needs. I will give a bid for one(28 foot box truck) completely filled high and tight with a car dolly, and the other car driven by us and gas payed for by us. It is very important to me not to over promise and under deliver, which seems to be the norm in this industry. You have my word there are no hidden charges whatsoever! Thank You, Mountain Movers (11/4/2009)

Response: thanks for the updated bid. we are strongly considering it. we just got back tonight from our first haul down to new mexico and we need some time to assess our needs. we'll probably leave some stuff in our home in michigan, but we haven't decided exactly what. also, i have 3 more motorcycles, some bicycles, etc to move down in a couple of weeks. we'll be in touch. thanks. (11/4/2009)

Response: Sounds good. I know how draining a long move in those real comfortable box trucks can be :-) Let me know where you stand when you get some rest. Mountain Movers (11/4/2009)

Response: hello chris. have you been able to rebid the move at $3500 yet? i need to get confirmation from you so that we can make our other plans. thanks. karl (11/24/2009)

Response: Hey folks! I tried to re bid however, it wouldn't let me due to the fact it was past the original posting date. I will post my bid now. Happy Thanksgiving! Mountain Movers (11/26/2009)
