Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Hi, I live in Gilbert,Az, planning a trip to Wi., do you still need your bike shipped? Thanks (7/14/2005)
Response:
Yes I do. the couple who are 'babysitting' the motor both work and have not been able to schedule a time when they can meet a truck during business hours. Be glad to hear if you can hike it up this way! (7/14/2005)
Question:
Hi, I want to place a bid to pick this up & deliver to you. My schedule is very flexible right now so I'll work with them on pick up times. I will be very secured on a new flatbed trailer I haul with my SUV. If this is o.k by you, then I will bid. Hope I can help. I'm planning to leave around July 25th . Please let me know asap. Thanks, kenny (7/14/2005)
Response:
Hi Kenny; My main question must be "how do you secure a flatbed trailer when you stop and leave the rig for a period?" There is a truck going through Tucson in the first half of next week. I have asked the folks if there is a business where they can take the motor the night before, and leave it. Since I have been trying to work something out with this trucking firm, I feel bound to make this final attempt to carry through with them. I will not commit to anyone else until this is sorted out, Monday at latest. You're first after this outfit, especially if you can meet with those folks. (7/14/2005)
Question:
Hello, Well to be honest with you, I drive Semi, and used to driving long hours.I drive one very long day, catch some shuteye , then finish the run. I don't feel comfy leaving anything vunderable, so I stay with it until delivered. It's o.k if you chose the trucking firm, i understand. Please keep me in mind if need. Thanks, Kenny (7/15/2005)
Response:
Hi Kenny; We didn't make connections with the truck. In the meantime, I have come up with some stuff for you: How would the motorcycle be protected from getting banged about by the other items on your trailer? The idea of an open trailer is troubling because it seems the machine will be very exposed. There is another thing going on which is different than the listing. I listed it as a business pickup and delivery. It is precisely because the babysitter didn't get it to a business that it wasn't picked up. I am not sure just how to work this point out. I may end up flying to Tucson and getting it mysilf at this rate. Your turn! (7/15/2005)
Question:
Hello: Are you still interested your motorcicle shipped? Thanks. (8/7/2005)
Response:
Yes. It's still hot enough I don't feel riding it is a good idea but I do want it transported. If you have a plan I'd like to hear it! (8/7/2005)
Question:
Hello again: We have a enclosed cargo area. Could it be possible picking up on Sat Aug the 13th night and delivery on Wed 24th afternoon? Would you be willing to pay $575.1? Thanks. (8/7/2005)
Response:
This sounds good. I have looked at the picture of your rig, and read your feedback. I will contact the folks who are babysitting the motorcycle and see of they can be there next Saturday. I am not sure this website will alert you when I edit this reply to show whether next saturday will work. I contacted the caretaker. He is working in the day Saturday, and on call in the evening. It may be difficult to pin down your schedule from a week away but can you hazard a time when you would be by to pick up? If you don't need help loading, perhaps his wife's presence to give you the motor would be sufficient but he says she would have to plan her time as well. Regards, Fred (8/7/2005)
Question:
Hello again: don't worry about the timing, I check the Internet regularly during the day. As soon as you know if it's possible picking up this Sat, then let us know by this mean asap. Regarding the help, we can load your motorcycle by ourselves and secure/fasten (we'll send you a picture of how is secured along with the service confirmation email when pickup), Thanks a lot. (8/7/2005)
Response:
OK; I have heard back from the caretaker. They will have someone available to release the motorcycle on Saturday evening. Have you noticed the saddlebags on the motorcycle? Will they be a problem? Regarding the cost, I'd be happier if it were less expensive but everyone pro'ly feels that way, right? Let's formalize this movement. (8/7/2005)
Question:
Hi: O.K, would you be willing to accept our bid? Thanks. (8/8/2005)
Response:
Yes, if the saddlebags won't cause a problem. when I placed the order I thought they would have to be removed but now have found some folks can accept their additional width. The caretaker tells me the total width across the bags is a little more than 40" but I'm not sure just how wide they are. Will that work in your rig? If so we're set. (8/8/2005)
Question:
Ok, no problem, we have more than enough space and adaptability to take care of your motorcycle. Thanks! (8/9/2005)
Response:
OK; Now what? I can open the details on your bid below but don't see how to acceipt it... Fred (8/9/2005)
