You are looking at about $900 for jacks and blocks alone. What price are you expecting to get this job done for? Permits and escort is another $450. So that's $1350 before it even moves an inch.. Then add the price of the haul. What do you think is fair for a guy to show up and do the move with his Truck and $40,000 hydraulic trailer?

Response: Hi, I appreciate your interest, but you originally bidded $1200 then went to $2800. I know for fact the jacks are $75 each at scaffold mart and need at least 4 and blocks aren't much, maybe $50. I had a confirmed agreed bid for $1300 in August but a death in the family postponed it and I'm back & forth working in China. I'll be back in FL on Dec 22nd. I also see FL DOT regs only call for escort over 144" width. This is 144". I've paid transport before and escort was needed. I'm looking for $1300 or close to it. for everything.12/13/2011
