Additional Information: This is a new 2004 boat with a new 2007 Aluminum trailer designed for this boat. The successful shipper/transporter will need to provide "Proof of Insurance" for the boat and trailer of a minimum of $75,000.00.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: 2,800 mile roundtrip will consume about ~$650 worth of fuel. 4-5 days on per diem with (cheap) lodging, ~$500. Your boat could be loaded on a semi with another boat, but the semi will look for $2+/loaded mile, per boat. Can you reconsider your budget? If not, you should extend your delivery timeframe, as haulers will need more time to construct a trip with a return item on its own trailer. MREMarine (3/28/2007)

Response: I had 2 previous shippers bid 1000.00 each. The first one was in an accident with his truck and had to withdraw his bid, the second lost his license for running overloaded. That's why I'm still looking for a service provider. (3/29/2007)

Question: Thanks for the bid request, I have a formula 260 hooked to the truck as we speak, and I could not come close to your target price, fuel would be 600, tolls 125-150 etc. Good luck finding a transporter, You will have to give on your cost some. Thanks Greg (3/30/2007)

Question: Thanks for the request, but I just came back that exact way and for 4 axles it's waaaaaaaaaaay more than 10 bucks. That route cost me over 75 bucks with 4 axles. It's even more if you try to go through PA. Thanks anyway, I see you have a low bid, it's a 2grand job minimum, at least 600 bucks fuel just to get there, plus insurance. Best of luck. (3/30/2007)

Response: The service provider asked if I could meet him in NY so I was trying to explain to him that the tolls for the remainder of the trip (to go all the way to NH) was only 10 bucks. You can figure it out yourself by signing on to the Ma. highway department's web site (3/31/2007)
