Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi. I have transported many such airplanes in the past 25yrs and understand the care it takes in doing so. Are you flexible on your pickup times or do you have a specific time you are targeting? Thanks Quality Transport (7/5/2007)
Response: I am flexible on pick up and drop off. It dosn't have to be delivered to my residence. I can pick up anywhere in Houston, Tx.. (7/5/2007)
Response: It looks like spruce? I can transport it for 2K + Uship charges. Thanks qualitytransport. (7/7/2007)
Response: It is spruce. By the way, will it be covered transportation? (7/8/2007)
Response: Transporting a project in the works like this always has so many varibles. To secure it properly a large open trailer would give almost unlimited access to the pieces for strapping and securing. This combined with cover as necessary, and a plan to transport in good weather would be my suggestion. I have handled many disassembled aircraft through the years. I am also a builder. Thanks. (7/9/2007)
Response: I agree, however, the wings getting slightly wet would destroy them and project would be worthless. What would you recommend to prevent moisture and is insurance available?? Michael (7/9/2007)
Response: There are so many ways to approach this, with the main difference being cost. If the transport was made when the weather was going to be absolutely arid, all would be fine. One would have to take into account the humidity and dew point, as dew will have the same effect as rain. I am experienced, diligent, flexible, and wise when it comes to transporting these project aircraft. If you decide to accept my bid I will do what ever it takes to get this airplane to you in pristine undamaged condition. Thanks. (7/9/2007)
Question: can it be flown? (7/5/2007)
Response: No, as you can see in the photos is is not finished. (7/5/2007)
Question: do you mean 23ft, 5ft, and 9ft or is it all inches. If it will fit on my 26ft x 8.5ft trailer, I will be in Buffalo area on way back to midwest week of 7-16. Rate would be $2500 if interested. 100% feedback. Thanks, tooldad (7/5/2007)
Response: You got the dimensions correct. I have not purchased the plane yet but might by monday. I will let you know. Thanks (7/5/2007)
Response: I would be very interested in hauling for you. Just let me know and I will post a formal bid. Thank you. Tooldad (7/6/2007)
Response: Thanks. As of today I have not purchased the plane and am finding out if shipping or picking it up myself was practical. (7/7/2007)
Question: Michael Brian is on the road at the moment he will be back late today or tonight and I will get him to follow up with you on this. Thanks Dee (7/8/2007)
Question: Hi! Check Out My Ratings By Clicking On My Name! What Are Correct Dimensions & Weight For This Fokker? Please Let Me Know Right Away! Thanks! Dave (7/8/2007)
Response: Dave, Thanks for the response. Dates are flexable and the deminsions are 23.5ft wingspan and the fuseelage is 9 ft at its tallest point. .5 ft wide at its widest.. (7/9/2007)
Response: Hi! Thanks For Your Quick Reply! What Are Dimensions (LengthxWidthxHeight)& Weight(Pounds) Of Each Piece When Dissambled? Can Pieces Be Stacked? Please Let Me Know Right Away! Thanks! Dave (7/9/2007)
Question: Hello, I am in Rochester Ny (home) and traveling to Texas with an enclosed trailer. I can haul for you in Aug. for $1950 if you wish. Thank you, Pete Robinson (7/8/2007)
Response: When are you traveling. Dates are not important but I would like a ballpark.. Michael (7/9/2007)
Question: Hi, quality transport here. Do you still need to have this transported. (7/11/2007)
Response: YES, I like your interest in the project eventhough you do not have covered transportation. It will work. Need your available dates. Michael (7/14/2007)
Response: Michael. I have been out on a job for a few days. My schedule is constantly evolving. I can create an open slot for you before the end of this month or very early next month. If you accept my bid we can exchange contact info and discuss the best time for all parties involved. Homebuilt planes, are a passion of mine, and I treat them as such. I know how critical proper care is for spruce wings, and airframes. Thanks Qualitytransport (7/14/2007)
Response: Create a slot! I guess I have to accept your bid and we proceed from there? The location in New York is the pickup point and his only bad days are 22-26 july and 5-6 aug. Lets do it! (7/15/2007)
Response: Hi, accept my bid and we can exchange contact information. I will definitely be able to work around the days you listed. Thanks. (7/15/2007)
Question: Could this be loaded tonight or in the morning. I have space on my flatbed. I will Tarp them for weather protect. Janice (7/13/2007)
Response: You mean today! The 13th?? (7/13/2007)
Question: Yes I had meant today but I all ready put another part on so I would not have room this time. I will watch the listing and be back thru nest week. I'll let you know. Janice (7/13/2007)
Response: OK! Hey , why you think about it, Do you have covered shipping available and insurance? It isnt 9 ft tall it is 4 ft. Michael (7/13/2007)
Response: well Here's a bit about me and how to check a provider on uship. I'm a lic motor carrier and provide 100,000 cargo ins. A owner operator will give you more control and personal service. A carrier and a broker are different. You should always check a provider out under provider directory (you can see their company info) with a shipment as delicate as this. Crating would be a really good idea, don't let them use any plastic wrap (holds in moisture) but some dries air packs would be good for the humidity, also a air ride trailer, strapping to a flatbed and then having it tarped. Any other questions let me know. Janice (7/14/2007)
Question: Ill do it for $1800... (7/13/2007)
Response: What dates can you do this? It is not 9ft tall, It needs about 4 ft of height and needs covered transportation and insurence. Can you help still? (7/13/2007)
Response: Next Friday, tarping no problem, dimensions no problem, insurance youd have to provide... (7/13/2007)
Response: Might not work. Tarping would not work. If I can get the wings created I will let you know. The wings are not able to take any abuse in their state of construction and would devalue the whole project if they were bumped. Thanks for now and if I can get them crated, I will let you know asap. Michael (7/14/2007)
Question: hello shipper i can pick up this week fully insured for its replacement value before your plane would be loaded on my trailer you would have a full insurance policy in your hands showing you as the owner/payee on the policy and myself as the transporter i can place it on trailer secure it and tarp the whole load please let me know asap so i may add to my shipping roster thank you in advance sean (7/14/2007)
Response: Ok I like what I read so far. The plane is not 9 ft tall, the top struts come off and so does the landing gear so it is about 4 ft. The wings are the big deal. They are fragile in their state and need moisture protected transportation and it really is the whole value of the project. What is you bid and I am interested in having it insured. 15k value.. Michael (7/14/2007)
Response: how long wide and high are the wings? (7/14/2007)
Response: Longest is 23ft6in by 4ft. The other 2 are smaller. (7/14/2007)
Response: ok here is my thought on this, the last time i moved one of these about a month ago with the wings if i move it or not here is what i have always done the first thing is to bubble wrap them for padding and protection then you shrink/cling wrap over the bubble wrap this will as i said protect it from road damage and rain/moister damage (7/14/2007)
Response: sorry hit the send button by accident after you shrink/cling wrap you tarp it to keep the whole thing safe please let me know if you have any other questions thanks sean (7/14/2007)
Question: sorry this is sean again also how much do they weigh? each? (7/14/2007)
Response: Total weight of the whole plane with the wings is 350lbs (7/14/2007)
