Was about to make a deal with an excellent provider who bid this job at $385.00, including full coverage insurance. A "book it now" that didn't work out wiped out his info so we lost communication. Response: The bids are just starting to come in for this shipment, but if you bid 385.00 with insurance coverage included, I will accept your bid. I want to make sure you can pick up in Cape Coral by November 29 (Thursday) at the latest. That has to be for sure. I want to make sure the stove will be insured. Delivery is very flexible, and if you deliver during business hours, there will be some help to unload. There is no hurry getting the stove to Utah. Response: Hi Ken & Mike: If you get held up on the way to Utah due to weather, that will not cause any problems for me since there is no deadline to get the stove delivered. What is CRITICAL is getting the stove picked up by this Thursday or before. I would feel best if it was picked up before Thursday. Will you be bidding 385.00 or did I misunderstand? (11/25/2007)

Response: I didn't get the bid for $385.00 yet. If I get that, I will definately accept. I talked to Park City, & there is no snow there yet -- weather is warm. Also good easy highway all the way into town. The highway is big and a very easy drive. Is Lehigh close to Cape Coral? (11/25/2007)

I have no problem paying cash or money order on delivery, but is the bid for $385.00 or $435.00? You can acquire an equally qualified Carrier by using Uship’s Shipper tips link at: http://www.uship.com/tips/showtip.aspx?tipid=200 It’s titled: What is a LEGAL carrier? And it reads: A LEGAL carrier is a service provider who has filed the proper paperwork with the Department Of Transportation (DOT) and has acquired the proper limits of insurance per the DOT guidelines. It is federal law that ANYONE who transports anything in a "for hire" capacity must be deemed legal and issued a DOT or MC (motorcarrier) Number in order to operate in that aspect of commerce. Although different criteria apply to different types of cargo, ALL service providers MUST be registered with the DOT. All LEGAL carriers can be checked out at the FMCSA(federal motor carrier safety administration) website by their DOT#, MC#, or legal company name. Be sure to check License and Insurance as well!
