Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi, I have a 45ft flatbed trailer that I pull with a Dually truck. I might be interested in something like this. I am a local wi transport. Would product be loaded and unloaded at each site? Would this be the responsibility of the driver? What kind of schedule would be arranged Ie: Mon and Wed or as needed? please let me know. thanks Joe. (9/15/2009)
Response: Joe: You will NOT have to do any loading or unloading. Dependability is very important. Unfortunately I don't have a set schedule yet but I usually know a day in advance if and what will be needed. To start there will be a shipment or 2 going to Schofield WI - about 14 - 18' of truck. About 10,000 lbs. at the most. I am working on arranging a return load of same material on way back. The I will have drops 2-4 in a 30 mile radius around Madison. This will expand as we grow and we are growing at a nice steady rate. Hope this helps...any other questions please just ask. What is the name of your company? (9/16/2009)
Question: We are a local trucking company based in Wisconsin Rapids and we are consistently moving our fleet of stocor portable storage containers between Wausau and Beloit. Would we be able to haul for you when we have an empty truck coming through the area or are you looking for just one company to do all your hauling? Our normal truck would be a straight truck with a 20' flatbed pulling a 26' flatbed trailer. Please let me know if this would work. Ron (9/16/2009)
Response: Ron: By all means that would work out for the load to Wausau (well actually schofield - but I figured Wausau is easier to relate to.) Do you ever have room coming down? However - just to be fair and up front - if the carrier I find who will do the Madison wants the Wausau move too I would have to give it to him...but I don't see that happening really. Let me know about your room coming down would you please. Not a deal breaker if you don't have room. (9/16/2009)
Response: There are definitely times when we would have room to haul loads from Wausau to Madison. In some instances we are hauling empty shipping containers to the Madison area. If your freight could somehow be loaded into one of our containers we could still haul for you. (9/16/2009)
Response: Just to give you an idea. Today we hauled 2 14' skids 6' wide up to Wausau and he will be picking up 2 - 9' skids 4' wide and bringing them back. Pretty flexible as to pick up - can be picked up the day before and delivered same or next day. Same with material coming back. I take it your containers are 20' correct? Could you load skids this size into those without to much problem? No dock at pick up in Madison - main reason we like flatbed is 5 mins. to load. Dock up north but can unload in yard if we have to. Let me know your thoughts. How much notice do you need about pick up and what time are you usually through Madison. This is easy on and off the Interstate. (9/16/2009)
Response: I would like the chance to try a few of these deliveries. We usually know 2 to 3 days in advance when we will be making a run in the Madison area. I cannot bid this through the website unless I know exactly where the run is going. Next Tuesday we have a truck headed north from Madison and could deliver to Wausau but no return trip to Madison on the schedule at this time. Our Stocor containers are 20' long 8' wide and 8' tall. If these skids could be picked up from the end it sounds like they could go into the containers. (9/16/2009)
Response: I completely understand that not being able to bid at this point. How do your containers load - side or back and it is probably not dock height correct? Tell you what...I will be in touch - if you don't hear from me by the end of the week - just come back and ask a question. I will have a little more detailed info today or tomorrow. (9/16/2009)
Question: Hello, So would a 28' Flatbed work? Is the 10,000 the max to ship at one time? How much in Cargo Ins would you need? Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/16/2009)
Response: 99% of the time y28' flatbed would work....and we could probably stack the product in the instances that it wouldn't. As far as the value it varies but it should never exceed $ 20,000.00. These are extruded aluminum pieces and $20,000.00 is on the very high end! Wgt....10,000 lbs. will be the most. At that point it would probably be more than one drop. Any other quesitons please let me know!!! (9/16/2009)
Response: Hello, The only way we can talk in person is to accept the bid. Any other contact will get Us booted off the site. Thanks, IRRL (9/18/2009)
Response: I am waiting to hear if they can load your trailer at the pick up site. Being a 20' skid I am not sure how they will. I know at this end we can get it off without any problem. I should hear this morning I hope!! (9/19/2009)
Response: Hello, I have a flatbed back in Az. Go figure. I'll be through Madison in about 2 1/2 hours. I'm in Black River Falls. I changed my appointment to Monday for Gurnee. Thanks and keep me posted (9/19/2009)
Response: Randy: The trailer you have is it the one in the picture? How deep is the trailer? If the skid is 20' will it fit okay? (9/19/2009)
Response: Hello, It is the one in the picture A 20' skid will fit inside. 20'1" wont but then the back doors pop off and I can haul 24' with Flags. Done that before. IRRL Randy (9/19/2009)
Question: Hello, So are you looking for a weekly rate, A daily rate, or a mileage rate. Or a combo of all three? How soon would this be put in place? Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/16/2009)
Response: I don't think a weekly rate would work because if we are really busy you could get the short end and I want this to be a long term thing. I have no problem with mileage but if I have just local in madison it could hurt you cause you could only go 100 miles but have 6 hours into it. I was thinking maybe a mileage rate plus a stop charge. Just for figuring now (don't want you to think this is what I am looking for cause it is not.) - .10/per mile- 1.00 drop charge You do a run of 125 miles but have 5 drops. Then I would owe you 17.50 ....and at that price you can haul everything I have.....HA I am open to what is fair for all involved here. If everyone works together it will be good for everyone. (9/16/2009)
Response: Hello, Monday would work too. Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/18/2009)
Question: Hello, I have come up with 3 sets of rates that could work in both our favors. I really don't want to post them here so everyone can try and under-cut, just for a load and then quit because they didn't make any money, and leave you hanging. I have 4 Wisc accounts that can get me back to Madison on a regular basis. I'm just trying to figure out how to get my bid to you without breaking UShip rules. Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/17/2009)
Response: Randy...your company out of Yucca AZ? 8280 - not working is this correct? Intersted in move out of Grunee IL to Deforest? (9/18/2009)
Response: Hello, I'm out of Waupaca in the summer months and NW AZ in the winter. I would stay up here if it was worth my while. I have an Enclosed trailer with me now and could move you as soon as your ready. Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/18/2009)
Response: Randy how big is you trailer??? Where do you run right now? I have a pick up Monday in Gurnee coming back up to madison. It is 2' x 2' x 20' long 4,400 lbs. let me know. Waupaca....I am looking for land up there ...know of any reasonable priced? Is your email craynonman??????? (9/18/2009)
Response: Hello, I have to deliver tomorrow in Gurnee, Ill before 10:00 am My trailer is 20'0" inside and this would fit. Would 240.00 work for you? Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/18/2009)
Response: Not sure if they are open tomorrow I will have to check. They quoted me $ 210.00 if the deliver it. I can have them do it if there is not enough money for you to do it. This move will be pretty constant about 1/week. (9/18/2009)
Response: Monday will work for me just as well. and I'll do the 210.00 and bid now. Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/18/2009)
Question: Hello. If you could rent a 17' truck, we will do this load for you for $300 or less and would give you a good rate on any other load that you may need done. Let me know what you think. (9/18/2009)
Question: Hello, Why don't you post the Gurnee load as a seperate load and go from there? So are you a broker or the agent for Manufacture? Will the 20' Gurnee load in an enclosed trailer? I've hauled trade show crates where they just push them in and pull them off. thecrayonman works for me.... Irrl Randy (9/18/2009)
Response: Randy: I am a broker - I really think some people just changed their tittle from Broker to Agent...Agents do the exact same thing. Anyway......check out crayonman. Thanks (9/19/2009)
Response: Hello, So then we would sign a Broker Carrier Agreement? Thanks, Just wondering. IRRL Randy (9/19/2009)
Response: yes we will - then I need to find out if I can use you in a few other customers (9/19/2009)
Response: Hello, OK, I have a few other agents that I can give you to call to see how how I perform. Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/19/2009)
Question: Hello, I've got to get moving here. I'll check emails in a few hours. Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/19/2009)
Question: Hello, I load out of Golden Eagle Log Homes Wisc.Rapids, and if I have my enclosed trailer with me, What they do is, on the 20' logs they'll put 9' into the trailer from the side. Then come around to the back and I use my rollers under the skid. Then as they push into the trailer I add rollers to the front until it's in. I have eye hooks along the floor, and strap the skid down. Hope that helps. IRRL Randy (9/19/2009)
Response: Randy: I have a call into the warehouse this morning. It sounds to me like everything will be fine...but I just want to make sure. They are going to measure that skid exactly. If all is good I will accept your bid and we can make arrangements. Thanks Lonnie (9/21/2009)
Response: Hello, These will fit side by side if they roll them in the way they do Up in Rapids. If these were on a flat bed would they need to be tarped? Is the weight still 4500 lbs + -? Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/21/2009)
Response: They have forklift and overhead cranes...just about anything needed to load. Only need to have a tarp in winter months or really bad weather. They are now telling me there are 5 bundles but that they shouldn't take up any more than the 2'x2'x20' (9/21/2009)
Response: Hello, Do they have any problem loading a van from the end? If the weight is still the same they will probably stack them and then slide all in at once. Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/21/2009)
Response: No they have a forklift in the yard to assist in loading so I don't see a problem do you? What time do you think you would be there ? (9/21/2009)
Response: Hello, I am in Milw and could be there this afternoon/ tomorrow morning, or what ever works for them. How late do they load? I'll have to fax you Cargo Ins and Fed Auth papers and that will take a while. Thanks, IRRL Randy (9/21/2009)
