Additional Information: Load point details: single level residence that can have a truck backed up to it with some maneuvering (there's a chain-linked fence gate that makes it a bit tight)...drop point: 2-story house, small street with no outlet, on slight hill. may require backing up 1/4 mile going in or coming out. somewhat windy road to location. Response: Hi. Thanks for getting back to me. I realized I left a few things off that I ultimately felt were significant enough to add, plus i realized we had more boxes than were originally noted -- also, my wife reminded me that she has 10-12 plants in pots that she would like to pack (I know this varies by shipper), so added those in the comments section. I felt it was only fair to re-do my list so you had a chance to rebid on the updated inventory. (6/22/2009)
Response: Thank You Dean A few boxes in addition are no problem.As far as the plants I suggest a couple of hints to make sure that they move ok. #1 check with the department of agriculture in Texas to make sure that the plants are the type that they allow to be brought in.Usually the inspector will issue a permit if they are ok....I will need the permit to show if I get stopped or inspected. #2 Do not water the plants on the day of the move.Excess runnoff may come in contact with other boxes or upholstered furniture The best way to pack the plants is in a plastic bag with air holes in the bag and then down on crushed newsprint in a box big enought to accomodate the foilage. Remember that clay pots that have been wet then dry over the course of a few years may crumble when moved....there is no guarantee that this will or will not happen.I will load the plants at the very end of the load on moving day so as to allow them to breath on the way.
