Question:
5/6/2008
Hello, the truck can be driven to TX? I'm based 100 miles east of Bakersfield. Is this a 3 axle tractor? Is it currently registered? If it's current reg & insured it can be driven with purchase of fuel/trip permits at AZ,NM port of entry, for TX you're supposed to purchase these before entering the state as they don't have port of entry. If you can provide more detail on this truck/shipment I'm sure I can help you out, I need to get to Dallas area to pick up a Volvo 3 axle . If it can be driven I can do for you very economical. Thanks, Mike-High Desrt Transportation USDOT#1190724Report a Violation
Response: HI, THE TRUCK IS A 3 AXLE AND AS OF NOW IT IS ON A NON-OP. THE INSURANCE WILL BE IN PLACE AT TIME OF PICK UP. THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM WITH BUYING THE PERMITS AND FUEL TO ENTER AND PASS THROUGH ANY OF THE ABOVE LISTED STATES. THANK YOU, JAIME 5/6/2008Report a Violation

Response: HI, JIM I CAN LOAD YOU BACK TO CA. IT DEPENDS ON THE TRAILER YOU USE TO MOVE THIS EQUIP. AS I HAVE ACCESS TO OVER 100 DIFFERENT SHIPPERS RANGING FROM STRAIGHT FLATS,STEPDECKS,OR RGN. IN THE TEXAS AREA ALONE,, THANKS, JAIME5/7/2008Report a Violation

Question:
5/6/2008
O.K. is the truck going to be registered at time of pick up also? I'm not quite sure whether you wish to have the truck driven or if you wish to have it hauled to TX. If truck is reg/insured I can drive it there for $100 and you pay fuel and permits and repairs if any should be required. Permits should be about $300 if it's not apportioned and IFTA'd, if it was app'd and IFTA'd there wouldn't be any permits to buy. Fuel-Bobtailing -what- about 7 mpg? then of course if all licensed and permitted you could get a Power Only load to pull out there. If you like I'll place a bid. Thanks, Mike-High DesertReport a Violation
Response: HI, IT WOULD NEED TO BE REGISTERED FOR A TRIP LEASE TYPE OF MOVEMENT ONLY,AND WE WOULD COVER ALL PERMITS/INS. EITHER UPFRONT OR ON DELIVERY, AS REQUESTED BY CARRIER,THE TRUCK IS DRIVEABLE SO YOU CAN DRIVE OR TRAILER,DEPENDING ON THE COST TO SHIP. THANKS, JAIME5/7/2008Report a Violation
Response: Howdy Stranger (always wanted to say that), If you can get it reg and insured I'll drive it to TX for $100 if you have somone who could pick up truck in Dallas or else give me a ride to there. If I must take truck to Houston and I have to find my own way to Dallas then I would charge $250. Either way you would pay fuel and permits (up front),once I get the money for them I can order the TX permits and pay AZ and NM at the Port of Entry. My insurance will not cover your truck that is why you must get ins for it. I will get to Bakersfield on my own. So I believe you can estimate the cost fairly close. $100 or $250 for me, then about $300 for fuel/trip permits, then fuel about $800 to $1,000, then the possibility of repairs ? (you know your truck and condition), then whatever costs are associated with reg/ins. I have 23 years Class A exp., I'm not hard on equip, have no points on DMV. I need to get out there in the next week or so. Please let me know if you want to proceed or any questio5/7/2008Report a Violation
