Additional Information: This is an easy/quick pack job. The house has entire contents moved to one side of a 2 car garage (15' x 20'?). The garage is right along the street. Back up the truck, pack a few things and go. I've captured most of what's here with the checklist. In addition is a power washer (gas is empty), ShopVac, tools, etc. I have a large extension ladder also (20ft?). A couple of glass table tops. No sofas. Some stuff will need boxed by you (10%?). Drop off will be into a garage also. There will not be any people capable of helping move stuff on pickup end. Thanks!

P.S. Mover/Service Provider must be legit - i.e. USDOT/MC number which matches business name online through SAFERSYS website.

Question:
7/21/2008
We are a licensed and insured moving co. Can you be picked up the 29th with delivery on the 30th? If so we can do it for $$2350.00. PLease let me know asap as I am acvtivly bidding other things to fill this space. Thanks -JC MovingReport a Violation
Response: Dates should be OK. I had previously listed the same stuff, which you quoted at $1,500, see the link below: http://www.uship.com/shipment/2-bedrooms-worth-of-stuff--Appliances--Garage/594718175/ The Provider I accepted was not properly DOT licensed, so I reposted it here and requested a bid from you. Please confirm for me that "JC Moving & Delivery" will be doing this work, and it will not be subcontracted. Also, are you willing to provide some type of proof that you are JCMoving (i.e. driver's license and/or insurance certificates, etc.)? Sorry to seem paranoid, but this last experience makes me leary of this whole site. THanks for your understanding!7/21/2008Report a Violation
Response: : Apsolutly an I don't blame you. There are a lot of prople on here that do this for extra money without licensing or insurance. I would be happy to give you insurance however I cant paste it in here. We do not sub contract. We are a family owned business. We dont broker anything. if you except the bid I will have your email and I can send you the insurance and some refrences if you like. Our DOT # is 1107919 and we are insured with thransport insurance. As far as the $1600.00 There are some costs that will have to cover to get the move. So we had to raise a bit to get closer to the $1500.00 that way we wont lose money. Sorry I should have caught that earlier. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks -JC MOVING7/22/2008Report a Violation
Response: OK, thanks for your understanding. I do not see a bid from you, so please enter one. Like I said, your quote on my original posting was $1500. Your first comment on this posting said $2350 (no bid entered). Now, I think you are saying $1600. So, please make a formal bid so that I know what your actual price is. Also, please realize that the pickup location will need coordinated with my real estate agent - because I am in Michigan. Will this occur during relatively "normal" business hours, or do you expect someone to be there 24 hours (this may be difficult)? I know you can't predict these things, but the date is not as critical as the time being "reasonable." The only other potential hiccup is that I need to make sure my previous posting gets cancelled, as I do not want to pay twice for this move. Thanks.7/22/2008Report a Violation
Response: : I see the problem. Having the two seperate ones on here has made some confusion. I think it would be fair to maybe just meet in the middle. Also we can make sure that the pick up will be in business hours. We can definelty discuss that once were able to contact each other. So I will place a bid for $1900.00 which is right in the middle. I think that would be fair and yet still a great deal? Thanks and sorry for the confusion. -JC Moving7/22/2008Report a Violation
Response: I'm sorry, there was a mixup with the cancellation process on the other account. I have to wait another 3 days before it can be processed. So, I will have to request another bid from you once this is all cleared up. 7/24/2008Report a Violation
Response: : Well, this trip will be leaving on the 27th I would need to know no later than the night of 26th. I beleive that the two listings should be seperate. You may want to contact uship and ask them. Otherwise you may have to find another shipper. Hope we can find a way to help you. Thanks -JC Moving7/25/2008Report a Violation
Response: Any chance for a later pickup on another trip? I have until 8/9. Thanks.7/25/2008Report a Violation
Response: : Ther is a possiblity for a pick up on on 8/1 or 8/2 with delivery 8/2 or 8/3. I need to make sure all your items will fit however. What types of music instuments are you moving? Also the dimensions you gave on the half of garage, that hold all items? How sure are you of this? Let me know and I will see if I can get you on this load. Thanks -JC Moving7/29/2008Report a Violation
Response: My recollection is that there is a tenor sax (30"x16"x8"), an accordian (24"x18"x12"), a violin (24"x8"x4"), and a flute (14"x4"x2"). So, probably 4 instead of 6 instruments. Yes, all the items are held on one side of a 2-car garage, and think 15'x20' is a fair estimate. Things are stacked on top of each other, maybe 6-8' high in some areas - you can see in the pictures. Would it be useful to see video? I could post on YouTube or something. Please let me know by Wed 6PM-ish, as I am going to decide that night if I am flying down and renting a truck or not. I also am getting a binding estimate from a local mover that night. Note that pickup will need coordinated w/ my real estate agent and will need to be during somewhat "normal" hours. Thanks for your interest. I hope we can work this out.7/29/2008Report a Violation
Response: : Okay, Well I am not completly convinced that all yoru items would fit. I think it would be really close. To be fair I will have to pass. I will keep my eye open if I have anything else between now and then. Thanks and ggod luck -JC Moving7/29/2008Report a Violation
Response: Hmmm..that's a bummer. How much stuff do you think you could fit? The standard 2-car garage is 20'x20', so the space my stuff is in may be more like 12'x18' or something. Also, there are some bulky, low-value items I could perhaps leave behind if needed. There are a couple of pieces of particle board furniture (a bookshelf, an entertainment center, a garage-style cabinet, and a computer desk). Would it be possible to coordinate getting the "important" stuff on first, and then if needed - leaving a few low-value items behind? Ask you can tell, I'd rather not make the 1400 miles drive in one weekend. =)7/29/2008Report a Violation
Response: : Okay well if you are willing to work with the space then we cna definetly make it work. Again it would be for dates of 8/1 for pickup and 8/2 or 8/3 for delivery. Same price as before the truck demensions are 26"long x 8" tall x 8.5" wide. I have placed other bids for this shipment so if you are ready I will place a bid. I just want to be sure you know the size circumstances before hand. Thanks -JC Moving 7/29/2008Report a Violation
Response: OK, so the truck will be empty - or will you be hauling other stuff? I was planning on renting a 16' truck, so yours should be plenty big. And like I said, if needed we could leave some of the cheap-o furniture behind. Thanks.7/29/2008Report a Violation
Response: : Yes yours will be the only items in the truck. I will be very pleased if we can get everything. As I said earlier I will nedd you to except bid soon because if need be I have to cancel other bids. Thanks and look forward to your business. -JC Moving7/29/2008Report a Violation
Question:
7/22/2008
Looks like JC moving has no idea how to bid or quote things shipper. Good luck with him. At least he looks like he is legal, but bids do not reflect it, but it is being done as a back haul. Not in Violation
Response: I'm still waiting for a previous listing to get through the cancellation process. I have not formally accepted a bid yet. JC Moving's expired, not sure if he will rebid. Please bid if you are interested. Pickup any time between next week and 8/9. Thanks.7/26/2008Report a Violation
Question:
7/26/2008
thank you for request to bid,can not come close to your target price, will have to declineReport a Violation
Response: Hmmm...how far off am I? Note that the house contents have already been moved to the garage, and the stuff is 80-90% packed in boxes already. Just back up the truck, wrap/pack a few things, and go. I'd like to get this taken care of soon, so please throw a number at me and we may have a deal. Thanks.7/27/2008Report a Violation
Response: : for the inventory listed our offer would be $36107/27/2008Report a Violation
Response: Ok, thanks. Any more than $2,600 and it's worth it for me to move myself.7/28/2008Report a Violation
Question:
7/27/2008
Hello, could this be pick up on 8/10?? Thank you.Report a Violation
Response: Well, yes and no. Since I have sold my house (the pickup location), I am legally obligated to remove these items by 8/10. If I go with you and you say you can make 8/10, any delays could make big problems for me. So, I'm not sure I'm comortable with this, you know what I mean?7/27/2008Report a Violation
