Expires 8/24 10:36 AM
Do you really require 1/2 shipping amount to be paid at pick/up and 1/2 at delivery point? Other haulers will take the balance at delivery (less the amount that Uship takes as a deposit initially).
Also, do you need help loading and unloading from either the seller or myself?
Thanks.
Cash payment at either is acceptable also. There are two of us so we shouldn't need any help unless there are a lot of stairs or tight turns. Thank you
Hello again, So as I understand it, cash for the full amount (minus the amount required with Uship to be passed along to you ~$40 or $50) and then the remainder in cash at delivery here in Wisconsin. Please confirm this when you get a chance.
Also, we just have one flight of stairs, they're not steep or complicated, it's a pretty open staircase. I could help if need be.
Thanks, Val
Yes definitely you can pay cash upon delivery, that is not a problem. The payment will be minus the fees. No help will be needed.
Sorry to bother you again; what's the insurance coverage in the price you quoted? Thanks.

Bid placed 8/22/2009 11:57 AM CST
Expired on 8/23
Does the price include insurance for damage and/or theft of the piece for the full replacement value.
Also, what do you mean by a covered cargo trailer, is it a tarp or is it a hard-sided trailer?
Thanks.
Our trailer is an Enclosed Cargo Trailer. What is the total appraised value of the piece? Thank you, Michael Frear.
I am buying the piece for $900, it's worth more retail, I'd say around $2000. Also, it says the bid expires tomorrow around 11:57 CST. Is this because you are going to be leaving the area where the cabinet is? Thanks.
No problem. The piece will be fully covered under our Progressive Insurance in the event of any damage caused by me or theft, ect.
I only place my bids for 24 hours so I don't have outstanding bids to avoid over-booking my loads.
Let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you, Michael Frear.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for clarifying the insurance situation. Also, maybe you told me before, but do you blanket/wrap the furniture for transit?
Thanks.
Yes. I will blanket wrap and Saran wrap the furniture so it is secure during transit. Thank you, Michael Frear.
Michael,
I had asked the seller in Cave Creek, AZ about any extenuating circumstances regarding accessibility to their house and the piece and copied below in italics is the response that I got. Please read it and let me know if there is any need for concern.
"Val,
better to ask questions via e-mail, I responded through ebay and I guess you never got it. I do not live in a canyon or anything like that, Cave Creek is a small town about 40 miles north of Phoenix, we do live on a gravel road at a dead end, trucks and vans do get down the road without any trouble. It will be easy to remove the piece from the house, we have a door in the bedroom and it can go straight out through the yard to the drive with no problem.
Nick"
Thanks, Val
Thank you for the information. I am confident that I should have no problem getting the piece picked up. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you, Michael Frear.
Hi again,
Sorry for the barrage of questions but I am getting close to making a decision. What level of service do you provide for this bid amount at the point of drop-off (our house), in other words, will you bring it in and carry it to the second level of our house, we have a pretty wide open staircase.
Thanks, Val
My services include loading/unloading, blanket/saran wrapping, full insurance coverage, along with bringing the piece into your home. I usually charge a $50 fee for any time I have to go up and down stairs, but I will accept a generous tip instead. Let me know what you think. Thank you, Michael Frear.
No Problem. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you, Michael Frear.

Hello, In reading your bid terms I understand that you want 1/2 the payment at pick-up the other half at delivery? Also, you us to provide some help for the pick-up as well as the delivery end. Please confirm my understanding of these terms or correct me.
Also, would you please describe the type of insurance coverage that is in you bid.
Thanks much, Val
The payment terms are correct. I would require you to have people to help load and unload. I offer insurance, but that is up to the shipper and it is up to them to pay for it., (I have a great insurance freight company that I work with.) does this cover your questions?

FIRST OF ALL, I THINK I WAS MIXING YOU UP WITH ANOTHER HAULER ON THE TERMS.
A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS; HOW WILL THIS PIECE BE PROTECTED DURING TRANSIT? DO YOU BLANKET WRAP/CLEAR WRAP, IT HAS A VERY DISTINCTIVE FINISH THAT WOULD BE VERY HARD TO RE-DO OR REPAIR. ALSO, PLEASE CONFIRM THAT IT'S FULL VALUE WILL BE COVERED BY YOUR INSURANCE, AS OPPOSED TO "PRICE PER POUND" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
DO YOU CARRY IT INTO THE HOUSE FOR THIS PRICE AND WHAT ABOUT GOING UP ONE FLIGHT OF STAIRS?
THANKS AGAIN. VAL
Val, I have full cargo Ins for the value of the piece. I would blanket wrap this and it would be strapped to the wall while in transit. I think you have 2 listing and they're messing you up. I can Fax you a copy of my cargo Ins after the bid is accepted. And the stairs are no problem. Is the weight correct on this? Thanks, IRRL Randy
Hi Randy
I don't know if the weight is correct. I did see a weight of 130 lbs., I don't know where that came from, but I think that I put a weight of 140 or 150 lbs. in one of my ads. You would probably have a better idea of the weight than me with your experience. You have the dimensions. It's basically a big empty wooden box.
Also, the seller of this piece in Cave Creek sent me an email with a description of their area and road, I have it copied below for you to read. Please let me know if you think it would be a problem; another bidder didn't think so and they have a similar rig to yours.

Hello, yesterday, I had sent you a question with information on the location/set-up of the sellers neighborhood or area. I just wanted to make sure it would be accessible to your rig. I am about ready to accept your bid, but would like to make sure that it's going to work out for you to pick this thing up. The phone numbers of the seller are: cell (480) 250-7415 or home (480) 575-7434, you can call them to get any info that you need to determine if you can get in and out easily. Please let me know and then I will accept the bid. Thanks, Val
