Additional Information: This is a 36 foot 2000 Dutchmen travel trailer (recreational vehicle). It is towed, not driven. It is located at a dealership in French Camp, California. We want it transported to Austin, Texas. It can be moved on an open or enclosed trailer, or towed. It is roadworthy to be towed. Registration is current. Can supply more info upon request.

Question: the question as to whether a cdl was required... what IS required to transport this trailer for hire is an operating authority, DOT numbers, commercial and cargo insurances, and in SOME states a cdl would automatically be required, in some not. IT gets a lot deeper than a question of just a cdl (9/17/2006)

Question: Morn... & thanks for your continued interest. When I wrote that... I was 90 miles away. (I was trying to sweeten the pot) I am not 90 miles away - now. Pls feel free to use the carrier\transporter you feel will do the best job- I am one of the more qualfied carriers that has bid and the best bargin also. Oh, I will honer my original bid if the time frame is agreeable. To be candid... However, as this has druge on for almost two months... I have a little voice inside that says... even if the bid is accepted and you decide to sell... I will be out my USHIP fees. and not have a shipment( USHIP makes these shipments free for you , however they charge us 7.9 % ) So ...I'll just wait and see how things go. If you give me a time frame of when you want this delivered and this fits into our schedule... I will bid. Regardless if you go with us... Response: Yes, that RV has been at a lot for sale since the spring. We decided it was never going to sell and would have to get it shipped home and try to sell it ourselves. Then just as I was doing Uship someone called and said they might want it. Those people took ages to get down to look at it (they live 3 hrs away). Finally just got down there and it isn't what they are looking for. So...back to where I started! I do need it shipped back as I don't expect anyone to buy it (the consignment place did not clean it up to sell like they promised). So... if you are going to be in the area in the near future please let me know. I did see all your feedback was excellent and would be happy to have you transport it for us.
