By the way, are you sure you can fit a 18.3 hand Belgian on your trailer comfortably?? ;o)

Hi again! Sorry about the additonal question...rescue person wanted me to verify you will require a health cert and coggins. If so, they won't have him to their facility frm the kill buyer until Monday. They'll have the vet do the draw Monday and have the results Thursday most likely...so we'd be looking at a Thursday/Friday pickup....does that work with your schedule?? Or you could pick him up Monday. but we wouldn't have the results back yet.

Oh, it's 100% fine that you want the coggins and HC....no problems there....but, if I can't ge a rush, can you pick up Thursday or Friday in Chardon, Ohio?? I'd think they could have it back sooner, but just relaying what I was told.....you let me know if the days work for you. Thanks so much!!

Was informed I was able to relist my request as a charitable request by the rescue in Ohio, so was hoping to obtain lower bids since UShip will no longer take a portion.

Ok....I'll have to work on the days to see if they can pull it all together by Wednesday....Thursday at the latest. Also....trying to do all I can for these guys ....if i wanted to throw a 12.2 bay pony gelding and a 13.1 gray pony mare on the trailer, how much more would it cost, if any, than the $500 to get theses rescues home!! :-) thanks !!

Lorna...you are a true angel in disguise!! Thank you. I will accept your offer of $200 down and payments....it helps more than you know. He won't have his coggins and hc until probably Thursday. Your choice if you pick him up Monday or Tuesday to leave the stalls open for more horses coming from Sugarcreek today.....or if you wait until Thursday......he's a big boy...18.3 possibly more.....can you fit him? :-)

Lorna...thank you for sending a new bid. The rescue organization informed me i could list the bid request as charitable and therefore Uship does not take out fees which really helps the transporter. I was not aware of that option for the belgian I'm rescuing from the kill buyer. Can you still honor the payments with $200 down and with Uship waving fees, is $600 the best price? (it's a good price...just need to keep expenses as low as possible with the other costs I'll have). again.....thank you! im so excited to do this for him. He never even had a chance at auction....went straight from the Amish farm to the kill buyer and was on the truck when the rescue group intervened on my behalf.
I can do the 200 down and the rest on payments, but if you add another horse it would have to be 900 since they would take at least 3 spots in my trailer. I want to help as much as I can and I am already waiting on the fuel cost I can only afford to to have a certain amount in the wind and 1 more horse eliminates one that would pay on delivery. I will still do 200 down and 700 on payments for 2 horses but this is the best I can do. Lorna
Ok Lorna....Im going to throw wrench into the mix.....they have a halflinger they'd like to throw on the trailer for us too.....well, we'd like him thrown on the trailer....:-).....he was ridden into the auction ring by a 5 year old....all cleaned up and mane braided.....Bauer outbid private bidders for him.....so he went to Bauer's kill pen. Rescue group had to pay $200 over his price plus transport to save him!!! i have 2 little girls that could enjoy him. Can we put him on the trailer for the $600?

Lorna, I apologize for that last question being sent multiple times. Im doing this from my phone and it froze. Instead of the halflinger, it is looking like a 12.2 bay pong gekdunf and a 13.1 gray pony mare may be the slightly better match for my girls. Would that still be "2 stalls" and $900 or 3 stalls and more money. Trying to do all I can...lol.

Yea...I finally broke you!! lol.....and, remember, I changed this to Charitable, so Uship won't be keeping any of your fees.....still $900? what are my payment terms, because I still have to come up with Coggins and health certificate fees for 3 and pay the adoption fees for 2.....the Belgian was covered by donations I think.

Debbie, I appreciate your flexibility on short notice, etc, but there is no way I can afford or raise that much money for his transport. I'm hoping to find someone coming this way that could do it for much less. Another lady in Chapel Hill, NC just paid $200 to get her Belgian here from the same group. She got him on a truck going to Florida with another horse from the same group. So I apologize, but I'll have to decline the bid.

I understand that there are people who will transport for a cheaper rate. I provide a sanitized trailer and I guarantee that your horse is the only one on the trailer, which cuts down on infection and injury to your horse during transport. Additionally, bringing water from the stable where she was also helps cut down on an upset stomach. I am very strict on NO GRAIN prior to shipping and NO GRAIN when arrive until the next day. I provide plenty of hay and rest periods...a very personalized service....I wish you the best. Thank you for at least getting back to me. Debbie
