Question:
8/17/2009
Hi Shipper, We too would like to submit a bid, but we only do legal moves. At 10'2" in beam, oversize permits are required for every state traveled in. (Anything over 8'6" requires permits in every state.) There are many who will try to "sneak" your boat through without permits, but the consequence of getting caught is your boat could be impounded. Permits and tolls for a legal move are over $600.00, add to that fuel etc. and that any legal carrier needs both a DOT number as well as a Motor Carrier Number, (U-Ship graciously provides a way for any carrier to add such to their profile on this site) and we could not come close to either your max or some of the bids you have alreaday received. But please check out our profile on this site, and if you are interested we will submit a bid. Thanks Report a Violation
Response: Please submit your bid for consideration. Thanks.8/17/2009Report a Violation
Response: : Hi Shipper, Please feel free to check out any and all state DOT websites for oversize permit requirements. Also please note that to be legal the carrier must have both a DOT number as well as Motor Carrier Authority, again easily checked out through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrations Web Site. Anyone who would suggest to you that 10'4" is legal without permits is terribly mistaken.8/18/2009Report a Violation

Response: : Hi Shipper, You asked us to re-bid on your boat and we will be very happy to do so, when are you looking to have it transported? Thanks, Ron12/11/2009Report a Violation

Response: : Hi Shipper, is this going to a marina and or business in Jacksonville or to the Port for overseas shipping? 12/11/2009Report a Violation
Response: Just to a marina in Jacksonville Beach.12/11/2009Report a Violation
Response: : Hi Shipper, It is 3:00 on a Friday afternoon, I would love to tell you we could pick it up Monday, but getting permits that quick is impossible. If you were to accept our bid today, and get back to us with the boats information etc., so we could order your permits today, we could load it either late Monday afternoon or more likely Tuesday Morning, for a delivery on Thursday. Diesel has gone up fifty cents per gallon since our last bid; our bid today would be $2875.00. If you are ready to accept our bid, let us know and we will submit a formal bid for your acceptance. 12/11/2009Report a Violation

Question:
8/18/2009
Hi there shipper, beware the scaremongerers who tell you of high costs of permits and tolls, tolls can be avoided 80% of the time , and as for permits, they quote you the cost of one off permits that last for one use only and can be expensive, a true service provider will obtain annual permits that are far cheaper over a year especially if you are a busy boat mover, some permits are as low as $5 so beware price inflation by mis information. We have just moved a boat such as yours (300 Sea Ray Sundancer) and can do the same for you for $1600, check us out, and come back to me.Report a Violation
Response: Please submit your bid for consideration. Thank you.8/18/2009Report a Violation
Response: : We do not place bids unless the customer is 99% sure that he/she want to use us, the reason being that placing bids here there and everywhere can lead to overbooking or cherry picking of loads, we try to discuss everything in advance and when both parties are happy then place a bid for acceptance, once we are in direct contact you always have the right to cancel and seek another service provider, we hide no fees and will place a bid for the total amount you will end up paying, we will agree a date and time for collection and delivery and adhere to those.8/18/2009Report a Violation

* * While price is important, there are other considerations before choosing a carrier. Insurance: We have $1.25 million in all risk cargo coverage. Safety: Check our Federal DOT safety rating by clicking on our DOT number. Our safety rating is much better than the national average. Experience: Our second-generation company has been in business for 55 years, hauling nothing but boats from coast to coast, in Canada, and to all ports in the US. We have hauled for nearly every major boat manufacturer in the US, both power and sail, we are a major carrier for the New York and Miami Boat Shows, and we are an authorized carrier for the US military. Equipment: We have 50 trucks/200 trailers. Drivers: Our drivers meet all Federal DOT qualification standards and have extensive boat hauling experience. All of these factors are very important when it comes to moving your boat.Report a Violation

Hi Shipper, Keep in mind that our bid includes loading and unloading from the hard. Providing your boat is where there is enough room for our truck and trailer to back under your boat, because we only use commercial grade triple axle air ride hydraulic trailers, we can lift your boat from stands and blocking, without you having to pay for travel lifts to load as with many other carriers. Thanks, RonReport a Violation
