Additional Information:
Had to leave car and trailer back east when we had to move. Was going to get the items myself this past summer, but pregnancy complications have placed me in bed for the remainder of my pregnancy. Am single mom of two older children as well. My horse is being brought in October by another Ushipper so I was hoping this may work as well. Thank you very much
99 Dodge Durango
00 Horse Trailer... can't remember the model. But it is designed for Thuroughbreeds. I have a clydesdale and need the height. Both are roadworthy and ready to go. There are no problems with tires and such to my knowledge. They have both been parked at my dads in NC since June.
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I'd be happy to drive your Durango and horse trailer to you for 2000.I know your going to say thats too high, so heres my deal. First check my feedback, Ive done this before. If you allow me to haul something in the trailer we could reduce the fee accordingly. I do not know horses so thats out, but ATV's or something like that would fit. If you like we agree on a price then after a commitment from you I could begin searching for more shipments headed toward eastern Wa.- I do not require or expect a deposit but do want cash on delivery. This may take several weeks to line up the shipments as I have to get something for my wife to pull along with me in your Durango. Let me know if interested and thanks for using UShip.com (9/21/2006)
Response:
Hello- That would be great. Yes, that is real high so maybe we can work something out. I also have a dog and cat that would be going along if that can work with you. You would never know the dog is there lol. She would live in cars if she could. i am going through a divorce right now. My husband put some of my belongings in it that where at his parents house so the back of the durango would be full. As for you using the trailer to haul something else this way, that would be fine. And hopefully the price could come down a bit. I am a single mom of 2 with another on the way and a divorce happening, so things are a little tight for the amount you stated. So if the animals sound ok with you, then lets get this set up and figure a fair price for both of us:) Thank you so much for replying to this listing. Stacia (9/21/2006)
Question:
Thank You for the reply.Could you have your Dad measure the trailer inside dimensions so I know what would fit in it.Is it a single or two axles and a weight rating would help?If I can get a 600 shipment it would drop your amount to 1400 and so on. But to be honest with you the 2000 bid would be mininum combined I would have to get to make the trip pay for me.The articles in the Durango are no problem and the dog and cat would be OK too, as long as their freindly, or the cat could hang on the antenna. HaHa. I live west of Asheville and could pickup when your ready but still need to find the other shipments(several weeks). My property here is secure and your vehicle would be OK sitting here while seeking loads. It's just very hard to get extra loads before I have the vehicle to haul it. And like I said before, I still have to find something for me to haul with my pickup truck so my wife can come along and give me a ride home. (9/22/2006)
Response:
Hey- It is a two axle trailer and hauls two horses. The divider is here so it is completely open. The dog and cat are both very friendly. The cat had vanished a month before we moved and was found about a month later in horrible shape. He is fine now, after a huge vet bill. My dad has been hard to get ahold of lately but I will send him an email and see if he can measure it. $1400 would be good for me if that will work. Is the winter weather coming going to be a problem?? I have traveled cross country in the mid of summer and winter so I know how nasty it can get. Thanks again and let me know when you have all the details worked out with shipments and all. :) (9/22/2006)
Question:
I have an 06 Ford Diesel and it is 4 wheel drive. I'm not a stranger to bad weather(AOL) and can chain up or wait out the storm if present! I don't know if your Durango is 4 wheel drive,But I assume it is because you want it soon before the snow flies out there. We can agree on the 1400 but I still need the trailer dimensions when you can. As of today I would leave around Oct7-10 and deliver to you in 3-4 days (9/22/2006)
Response:
That would be great! I am waiting to hear back from my dad on the measurements. It is taller then a normal trailer and is slightly wider. I know that doesn't help much but may give to you an idea. If those dates for travel stick, everything would be arriving around the time my horse would be. So that would be really good in case I had to trailer her somewhere for some reason. Thanks and will let you know as soon as I hear back from my dad. (9/22/2006)
Question:
Good Morning, just checking in, things are looking good on my end. Still the proposed dates as far as I can see. Any word on the dimensions yet ? Curtis (9/27/2006)
Response:
Hello- I heard from my dad and he will be getting the measurements. I am sorry it has taken this long. I do appreciate you checking in and will get another email out to my dad again to see if it can speed things up a bit. He would like your number so he can get in touch with for arrangements, if that would be ok with you. Hopefully he will get back to me today sometime. he did just lose his 10 year old dog out of the blue and his having a very hard time with it. Thank you (9/27/2006)
Question:
Well this is the bad thing about UShip, we cannot exchange phone numbers until a bid is accepted. And until the details are worked out I can't place a bid, catch 22.I would be happy to talk with him anytime about picking up your vehicle but can't risk my UShip account to do it.Put your detective hat on and work it out when you can about the dimensions (9/27/2006)
Question:
Hello, If driving is an option and vehicle is road worthy and legal, I can drive it to its destination for 1095 which includes gas, tolls if any and my driving fee, I have lots of experience and can provide references, thanks, Dalvey67, Donnie PS. check out my feedback and pull the trailer assuming the durango is set up for that (9/27/2006)
Response:
hello again- just checking on to see if you did receive my reply email. I haven't heard back and was just wondering if you were still interested or not. If so, I would like to get things set up as soon as possible. Thank you (9/30/2006)
Question:
Well thanks for using me and UShip. I just spent a week lining up shipments like we agreed upon and now you jump ship on me for a cheaper bid. I had one going to Wyoming and another coming to Spokane on the dates we talked about. You go ahead use Ol Donnie there, just wait till he asks for a ride to and from the bus station or airport. But I expect this out of the drivers on Uship to come in and cut the bid. You get what you pay for, See Ya (9/27/2006)
Response:
Excuse me but we did agree on this BUT you never make it official with a bid. I have been working with you while you use ME to deliver other items. That is putting more miles and wear on MY vehicle. I replied to his offer, but did NOT accept anything. I had many quetions to ask him and DID tell him I was already looking into another shipper. Now with this email from you, I would much rather go with someone who just needs a ride someplace to get home ( wow what a HUGE deal) then go with someone who give me an attitude while jumping to conclusions. As you know, if you wanted to really agree on this, you would made your offer on what we agreed so my listing would have been removed for others to view. So, can you really blame me for checking into another much cheaper who does not want to use my items to get more money. I am not making anyting out of you using my things to make money off off am I. Good luck to you and do not reply. (9/27/2006)
Question:
Hi we can transport on flat trailer or do you want it driven Thanks (9/28/2006)
Response:
Hello- This is for a durango ANd a horse trailer so they need to be driven. Thank you so much for the interest. (9/29/2006)
Question:
I own a driveaway service, check my feedback, I have done a lot of cross country drives and would be honored to drive your SUV and pull your trailer. (9/28/2006)
Response:
Hello- What time frame and cost are you looking at? My shep mix dog would be tagging along as well. She is extrememly well behaved and friendly. also she wishes she could live in the car!! (9/29/2006)
Question:
How long is this horse trailer and dodge durango any way but if want it driven we also have a driveaway severice Thanks (9/29/2006)
Response:
To be honest, I don't know how long it is. It is all in NC at my dads. the horse trailer is a standard two horse without the tack/storage room. How much do you charge to driveaway? (9/29/2006)
Question:
Have you thought about a Target price? No problem with the dog traveling. Timeframe, I am flexible this month. (9/30/2006)
Response:
Hello- well I have had two quotes for $1095 and $1400. The highest fell threw since he was VERY rude in an email cuz I replied to another haulers questions. I will go with the lowest with best feedback of course. The other quote, I haven't heard back from yet so not sure what is going on there. I am a newly single mom of two with my third on the way. I am having some major complications which keep me in bed, so thinks are kinda tight. Thanks for getting back to me. I would like to get everything here as soon as possible. (9/30/2006)
Question:
Transporters, read previous questions carefully. She agreed to allow the $1400 bidder to haul another shipment in her trailer for a $600 discount. She did not provide the needed info for the transporter to submit a bid. Allowed him to work for a week setting up other shipments. Then claimed that the transporter was using her for profit! Who was rude? And not a person of her word? I dont know that I would trust this shipper. According to the previous questions, the original transporter also had to back out of two of their commitments, because she jumped ship for a lower bid before providing HER needed info. USE CAUTION with this one! As, she is not repeating full story about the $1400 bid. (9/30/2006)
Response:
Yes transporter agreed to $1400 with me IF he could get a few other loads. NEVER made anything officia, it was all an IF he could get other loads then he would drop the price to $1400 from $2000. His wife is also going along with their truck hauling loads as well.... I had an another interest hauler who offered much less WITHOUT an IF he could find other loads. The SECOND I replied to the second ushipper, the first sent a RUDE email claiming that I had used him and uship. Funny how he can post these remarks over an "agreement" that he would not make official and sent plenty of emails with IF's on delivery. As for not getting back with info... the items are NOt here with me and I have to get someone else to measure the trailer.. Did give the basics of the trailer which is pretty much common sense. If he was so worried about my info, how did he plan two other transports without the trailer measurements?? Funny how the truth really comes out when there are honest people out there. (10/1/2006)
Question:
Okay, I understand, so I will be driving the SUV pulling the trailer with your dog accompaning me. My last question, where is the closest airport to you where I can fly home? (10/1/2006)
Response:
Hello- The closest airport is here in Spokane. It is about 30 minutes or so from where I live. Thanks (10/1/2006)
Question:
Hello, Im still interested, but right now I have a commitment for a few days and Im not sure how long this is going to take. When is the absolute latest this can be done, I know soon because of the weather that will set in up there. Anyway, what do you think? thanks,, Donnie (10/1/2006)
Response:
Hello- The last email from you stated you could do it this month, which was the last week of Sept. i figured you meant October. Do you think you would be available sometime this month? Please let me know if you might be able to guess a time frame that we might be looking at. Thank you.. Keep me posted please. I have had a few more interests come in but nothing i want to go with yet. Hoping it would work with your services. (10/1/2006)
Question:
Hi! I am interested in doing this for you since we will be in NC within a week. I am just wondering if you would have a problem with me stopping at home for a few days so I can try to put something together so my husband can follow me out there with a load. That way I'll have a way back and I won't be traveling so far alone. The roads aren't safe nowdays. Please send me an answer soon cause we're heading to Iowa to pick something up and then dropping it in NC close to Charlotte. Oh yeah, I have never gotten a ticket and we try to drive 55 for safety and economy reasons. Beth (ConcreteAngel959) (10/4/2006)
Response:
Hello- That would be great depending on your price and if you would mind my dog riding along with you. She is a shep mix and would LIVE in a car i she could. Let me know what price you are needing and we will go from there:):) Thanks, stacia (10/4/2006)
Question:
Continued from prior message.Forgot to mention, I Would not be using your trailer forother shipments unless you said it was ok. My husband and I both love animals and being on the road all the time it sure would be a blessing to have some pets to enjoy for a few days! All I guess I need to know is would the gas money be coming out of the price? We live just inside the Michigan state line but we'd have to drive on I-90/I-(4 anyways so there would only be about 50 extra miles on it. I guess you okay with 1400.00, I just need to know if the gas/tollroad is coming out of that or not.Let me know and I'll submit a formal bid. Thanks Beth (ConcreteAngel959) (10/4/2006)
Response:
Sorry, I didn't see this email until after I sent the other. Yes, I assume that the gas fees are included. I have had several other offers for much cheaper then the $1400 so I would most likely decline that bid offer. The cheapest I had was under $1100. I would stick to that one, but he doesn't know when he can get out this way. I am trying to find the right price and and right person. As stated in my listing, i am a newly single mom of two with one on the way. Money is kinda tight so I am looking for something more around what others are offering. The $1400 was my first offer, and many other interested haulers have replied for much less since then. The first man actually LOWERED his bid from $1900!!! Please let me know what you think.... (10/4/2006)
Question:
If the horse has'nt made it yet, I would be happy to bring that to you as well (for whatever that's worth)in your horse trailer for a bit more of course. Have a good one , Joe (10/5/2006)
Response:
hello- I do have someone arranged to bring the horse out, but I am in the process of adopting another one in OK. I haven't lookd at a map yet, so i am not sure if OK would be on the way here or not. Would you be interested in picking my other new horse on the way here if we agreed?? It will depend on how much your fees would be. Thank so much (10/6/2006)
Question:
Hey, Joe here. If you want this done, at this point I am available for the end of the week. Other questions,? ask away.OK? Thanks, Joe (10/11/2006)
Response:
hey Joe, that would be GREAT if you could do it this week. I am waiting to hear back from my dad about the parking. Also am getting the directions for the pick up of the horse (Bailey). I still have not gotten ahold of my ex about the kitty, but that isn't a surprise to me. This is Wednesday, so are you meaning THIS end of the week?? Wasn't expecting it to be so soon to happen, which is REALLY great. If you do not mind, I would like to give my dad your number so he can give you directions and set that end of things up with you. Thank you :):):) (10/11/2006)
Question:
Yes. That is what I mean. The end of this week(friday the 13th).I have no problem giving your dad my number but it has to be (according to uship policy)after you accept the bid. OK? I will go by and see if your ex is around (if you want) on my way out. Also,I have been meaning to ask; is the trailer enclosed? I assume it is. I have been watching the weather channel and it's COLD and snowing some in CO and WY it looked like. Thanks for getting back so quick. Joe (10/11/2006)
Response:
Hey- Yes it is enclosed. There is a heavy waterproof tarp like thing that snaps onto the upper top of the back. It should be on there now, if not, it is in the trailer. That would be great if you wouldn't mind going by his place. It is in Whitesburg KY and my dad can give you the directions as well. I will keep trying to get ahold of him so that he can at least try to meet you somewhere or something. That was the plan before. I believe that the bid expired that you offered. Could you please place another one with the details. I will accept it as soon as it comes in. Thanks!!! (10/11/2006)
