Question: Will you have the legs removed from the table and padded and boxed. Thank You John. (8/6/2007)

Response: John, I talked to my mom and she said that she doesn't think the legs come off the table. It has a "skirt" on the corners where the legs attach(similar to the embellishment that you see on the front porch of old houses), so she couldn't see how to take the legs off. I can send you a picture of the table if needed, but I don't have any that don't have people sitting around it! :) (8/7/2007)

Response: Hi I just put in my bid in for $498.34 and somehow it registered 9 days and not the two days I entered. I will leave this bid active for two days. Thank You John (8/7/2007)

Response: Sorry to hear about that, John. As I mentioned, this is my first time using this forum. I knew I couldn't list addresses, etc (as shown at right) but I'm sorry I didn't read the agreement more closely. I hope I didn't jeopardize your provider status. I know I responded to your first posting via my email. The uShip website says to check your email frequently which I did. I just didn't realize the first time I got one that I couldn't just hit "reply". I'm still learning here. If you should want to proceed with the original bid and are coming out in early September, I'd love to use you. Otherwise, best wishes! Thanks!

Question: Hello Shipper, we are a small, independent moving company based in Iowa City, IA. We will be traveling through your area in late August. We are professional, full service movers with great rates. Please reply if you are interested. Billy, Adamantine Spine Moving. (8/15/2007)

Response: Hello, Billy! Being a former Iowan for MANY years, I'd sure like to give the home state folks some business! :)
I've viewed your comments for the last year and am very pleased with what I read. I will check on the dates again (with my mom) to see if August will work.
As for access, both places are in residential settings with one (Iowa)to three stairsteps (Colorado) for entry. The Colorado end is in a townhome, but driveway is at least two car-width's wide and I've seen many moving trucks over the years.
Let me know what kind of bid you can offer and I'll see how that fits our budget.
Thanks in advance!! (8/16/2007)

Response: Thanks for your response, everything so far sounds great! We can pickup anytime before the sept 8th and deliver sometime thereafter. Our charges for this would be $750, which includes door-to-door service and wrapping with pads, covering glass with cardboard, ect. If this sounds reasonable, let me know and I'll post a bid. -Billy (8/16/2007)

Response: Billy,
Thanks for the quick response. The dates and everything else sound perfect for what we need, but the price is quite a bit over what we were hoping to spend. Thanks!

Response: The lowest I could go would be $500 + uShip fees. (Any lower and I would never hear the end of it!) Billy (8/16/2007)

Response: Billy,
I did a little looking and I believe the fee is something around 10%. If that is correct, please place a bid as we'd like to utilize your services!
Thanks! (8/16/2007)

Question: Any chance these things will be available for pick-up on 8/18? I will be going through your area and could give you a great deal on it. Let me know ASAP if you're interested. Thanks! Alx (8/15/2007)

Response: Alvango, it's doubtful that these will be available for shipping by this weekend. I will check with my mom to see how the houseselling is going and let you know, but I must ask you if you have any available references? Even though you've been a member of Uship since June, I don't see any feedback, positive or negative. Please advise...
Thanks! (8/16/2007)

Response: Thanks for your quick response. Since registering with U-Ship in June, I've just been looking around, learning how things are done here, before finally jumping in now. While I don't yet have any U-Ship feedback, I'd be happy to provide outside references. If by chance thses things are ready to go, I'll place a bid and we can figure out how to get the reference contact info to you before you accept or decline. Thanks! Alx (8/16/2007)

Response: I've accepted another offer. I know you didn't make a bid, but I just wanted to let you know and not leave you hanging.
Thanks and good luck! (8/17/2007)

Response: Thanks for letting me know. Best wishes! Alx (8/17/2007)
