Questions for this shipment:

Question: NEED TO KNOW IF YOU WANT US TO PICK THIS UP WILL BE IN LOCATION ON THURSDAY NIGHT OR FRIDAY MORNING (6/6/2007)
Response: I'm sorry - I saw that the bid was removed, so I thought you opted out. That's why I didn't respond. I'll pass on your offer. thanks though. (6/6/2007)
Question: Is it in AF or Lehi? I live in PG, what is your hopeful price? (6/6/2007)
Response: It's Lehi. Was hoping to get a consolidated shipper who would just add my contents to a shipment already coming in this direction. Price for that seems to be around $600. I'm not sure it's worth it for an individual who would custom ship it to me. (6/6/2007)
Question: Well, I haul antique furniture across the west. I get a buck a mile, and with the fuel increases, I should be alot higher! I blanket wrap and secure everything, and you will get your items in the same condition they are in now! I would need to know real soon so I can save the room. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. My feedback will help you decide. Have a Good Day! (6/7/2007)
Response: Um, how many miles is it? I have no idea actually.. . . Would you be able to get the furniture into my apartment or just to my curb? I have a freight elevator with garage access, but I"m on the third floor and would not be able to take the furniture by myself up to my apartment and put it in place. (6/7/2007)
Question: When you look at your add it shows the mieage. And it shows AF as the origination, which is why I asked. I will help you move things inside, but getting the buffet in the elevator concerns me. It may take more than both of us! But I am sure we can figure it out! Let me know asap if you would like me to submit the quote. Thanks again! (6/7/2007)
Question: What are your thoughts on this. Will be heading out next week. Be in touch, Thanks! (6/9/2007)
Response: Hi Ralph - appreciate the bid, but I'm going to pass. Have a relo company who will be able to put the stuff in my apartment, which is what I need in addition to having it shipped. thanks very much though. (6/9/2007)
Question: What do you mean by a relo? I planned on putting your items in your apartment as well. I may need to hire some help if you arent able to, which is fine. Would like to do this for you if we can come to a meeting of the minds here. What would you like to see here to make this work out? (6/9/2007)
Response: I feel more comfortable dealing with a moving company than with an individual, especially since the prices seem to be about the same. thanks anyway. (6/10/2007)
Question: I can understand your thoughts here. I would like to point out though, that moving companies hire very cheap help that could care less about what they are hauling. They are only concerned about a paycheck! If you read my profile, I have 100% positive feedback from over 70 clients on this site. I can give you alot of refferals from clients of the Antique Furniture store I transport for, as well. I take alot of pride and care for my clients possesions! If you think about it. If they are only charging you as much as my quote, for two young guys, that cant be paying them much, which is why they dont care about the loads they transport. So many stories out there of the items getting there broken. Then their insurance pays for the damage! But some things are irreplacable!! I take the proper precautions to make sure that never happens! I do have another partial load going to Northern Cal. so I can work you out a better price as well! 600 if you cover the Uship fee. Let me know asap. Take Care (6/10/2007)
Response: OK - fair point. I do, however, have a delay in timing. My parents, from whom the shipment needs to be picked up, are busy until 6/16 (my sister is getting married) and then away until 6/23. They won't be able to have someone pick the shipment up until 6/24. They are then leaving again 7/2. Could you pick up in Utah between 6/24 and 7/1? (6/10/2007)
Question: I have already been scheduled to help out with Youth camp that week. If it is at all possible, I can pick things up as early as tommorow morning at any time they may be there for half an hour at the most. I have my son available to do the loading. And I am sure that your folks are plenty busy for the next while, but we could really get in there and out quickly, and it shouldnt cause them any delay. Hopefully, they could allow that at any convenient time for them. I live less than five minuites away from AF. near the Temple. Let me know if this is doable. Thanks for trying here! (6/10/2007)
Response: I've left my parents a voice mail just now - if it's OK with them it's OK with me! One of the six chairs is at the home of a friend of theirs in Harriman, so they'd have to get that over, but perhaps they can get that done. On my end I'll be away June 14 - 16 for the wedding, and I still have my old dining room set to get out of the house, but I listed it on Craig's List yesterday, so perhaps I'll get lucky and it'll be gone soon. I'll let you know. (6/10/2007)
Question: OK great, let me know when you hear back. If they need me to p/u the chair, I may be able to do that. Be in touch! (6/10/2007)
Response: OK - I just heard from my mom. They are HAPPY to have you come and take away the furniture. They will go to their friends in Harriman and get the other chair tonight. I am a bit concerned re: two things: your arrival date - as I said I'm away this Thurs - Sat and I still need to get rid of my existing dining room furniture delivery into the apt - I am 5'2" and not able to help much. I am really hoping you'll be two people. access to the freight elevator in my building is easy and access to my apartment from it is easy, but you'll definitely need a dolly, or those wheeled carpeted square things. I have a pretty demanding job, so I need to sched my time well - let's figure out when you might appear. I'll go accept your bid now. (6/10/2007)
