Response: Yes, the bidding is still open. U Ship estimated it would cost less than $500, but current bids are much higher. What is causing the high bids? The desk can be disassembled so it's much easier to move. 8/9/2014Report a Violation

Response: I think that's a little high, but I'm not an expert at guessing weight. I can lift each of the 4 sections of file cabinets. The two ends are heavier than the two middle sections. The desk is in two halves, top and bottom. Both are heavy, but two guys can carry them. The chair is fairly light. You can come by to see them before committing if you prefer. I'm in Platte Park, near DU, near the Washington/Emerson St exit from I 25. Gregg John, I've extended the bid if you are still interested. Good afternoon Gregg. Just to give you some insight on the cost to move your items. They are large. They are heavy. They need to be carried up a flight of stairs. They need to be packed/blanket wrapped. They are traveling almost 1600 miles. Current cost of fuel is almost (or in some places over) $4.00 a gallon. If you hire a transporter that has insurance protection,,,,,,I think you can see why the bids you are receiving are higher than UShip suggested. If you have loading and unloading help, I would offer to transport for you for 800 all inclusive. I invite you to read my customer feedback before you decide. Let me know what you think. Response: John, thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I can't gaurantee loading help others than myself, so we'd need at least help from the driver on both ends (load and unload). I can eliminate the stairs and we'll load from my garage and unload to a first floor as well. The desk and files come apart, so they are really not that heavy as pieces. They do need to be handled with care, wrapped in blankets ideally. If that's what you have in mind, then let's do it. There is no deadline, but I'd like it moved in the next 60 days. Let me know. Response: Thank you Gregg. Since you have made it "garage to garage" I shouldn't need much help. I have 4 wheel dollys and a full rear ramp on my trailer. These would be blanket wrapped and secured to Etrack (floor and wall). I would offer to get them to you for 670 all inclusive. That works out to less than .43 cents per mile. I would like to have you ship the furniture, I appreciate the excellent price, willingness to work with me on the loading, and great customer feedback. In one of our correspondence you quoted $670 all inclusive. Is that still our agreed upon price? I assume all inclusive means just that, but let me know if there are any other potential costs. What is the next step? Do I accept the bid via UShip? I'll need some advance notice on pick up and delivery dates/times so I can make sure there is loading and unloading help available. Response: Hi Gregg. I understand "crazy" real well. As far as I know "all inclusive" means just that. You will have to double check with UShip as we aren't permitted to discuss anything else or we will be "red flagged". I will place a formal bid for you. The dates will be "wide rangeing" as I won't know exact dates until we are two to three weeks out. I am looking forward to working with you on this shipment.
