Response: : Hello Vinh, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for your reply. LTL trucking is based on the commodity, weight and dimensions. This determines the density winch then determines the DOT classification. The class, weight and distance determines the cost. Many times LTL truckers do not verify the dimensions and or weight. So it they don't then we are good. Also, I can't determine the weight and dimensions by just looking at picture(s). Our quote is based on the weight and dimensions as listed. Just to let you know that I have been in the shipping business for 26 plus years with 7 of those years as being owner of The Shipping Shack. See our feed back here on U-Ship. Hello Vinh, this is William Donohoe, owner of The Shipping Shack, Inc. I personally oversee all of our shipments here on U-Ship. You will be given all of my personal contact information once our quote is accepted. This includes my personal email address, office phone number, cell phone number and our physical office address. You and the shipper at the origin will be given a copy of the LTL trucking bill of lading prior to shipping your shipment being picked up. The pick up driver will assign a PRO tracking number when your shipment is picked up. You will be able to track your shipment on line once the system is updated. Note that our quote is with origin and destination both being a business with a dock and or fork lift. Your shipment can not be picked up other wise due to it's weight and length. There are no extra charges as long your shipment's weight and dimensions are not greater where it increases the cost. Please remember that are quote is with the origin and destination both being a business with a dock, fork lift and or some means of loading and unloading your shipment for the truck will be a tractor trailer without a lift gate. Your shipment can not have a truck with a lift gate anyway for it will not fit onto a truck's lift gate for it is too long. Also, a lift gate's hydraulic's can not lift 9000 lbs. Response: we dont need a truck with lift gate , has to be transport by flat bed only , your driver dont have to do any loading or unloading , we have all kind of equipment to load and unload , all he has to do is secure the unit and drive to the KY , tell them the way he want the unit on the flatbed and they will load the way he wants .8/10/2012
