Question: I have a trailer that dumps back so it could be driven on and off but is not enclosed. If you dont want it exposed I can tarp it. But I cant do it for any less than 500.00 because of fuel. If you are interested let me know and I will put in a bid. THANKS Reliable025 (8/29/2006)
Response: I just started exploring the idea of having the riding lawn mower "shipped" and had a budget in mind (what it would cost me to hook up my trailer and drive up and get it, plus a few more bucks). It being enclosed is not a priority. Thanks (8/29/2006)
Question: What price do you have in mind. Keep in mind that we carriers have to pay for insurance on you shippment and most of us also have to pay our drivers And after we pay Uship 7.9 fees to use this site the bid that you now have is not a bad price Thanks (8/29/2006)
Response: My budget was less, I am flexible, as so is the shipper of the mower as far as time (maybe piggy backing onto another order/combining shipments) I am getting an education on the shipping business. A lot of expenses involved. (8/29/2006)

Question: Please remember that we are trying to make a living, not trying to just help people out. Most shippers charge $1.00 a mile. You may be better off driving up to get it. Diesel is still $3.15 up here, and gas is less. If you don't want to pay for service, then why even bother getting on here. You take the 8 hours unpaid both ways to drive, pay for the gas, food, and insurance on your truck. If you think that it's worth your time GREAT! But for a lot of companies, it's not. And we usually come back with something, so we are making money on the way back too! (8/29/2006)
