Questions for this shipment:
Question:
is an INWATER delivery an option for this vessel no removing of the bridge no extra cost for loading and unloading plus permits escorts etc... experianced captain and crew could be ready to do survey and sail in 3days. (3/10/2009)
Question:
hi shipper what do you consider legal height? (3/10/2009)
Response:
13 feet 6 inches?? I believe the average bridge height on major highways is 16'-17', but I'm not the expert here. (3/10/2009)
Response:
13-6 thie legal loaded height. I need to know what is the lowest height you can get the boat to prior to loading. Thanks (3/10/2009)
Response:
My understanding from the broker I'm working with is 13 feet. He said they transported the boat to the Tampa area from out of state and did not have any problems clearing any interstate bridges, etc. I hope that helps! I will confirm that information prior to final agreement on price, for now mainly need a quote. Thanks (3/10/2009)
Response:
Thanks I will bid. (3/10/2009)
Question:
Would you consider an inwater delivery under her own power by a licensed Captain and Crew? -Capt. Greg (3/10/2009)
Question:
can this move the first of next week (3/11/2009)
Response:
I'm afraid not. The sea trial and closing are not until the 23rd (3/11/2009)
Question:
13 is your bridge clearance ,what is your draft? add that to the brg clearance and you will have your true ht (3/12/2009)
Response:
Total clearance is just under 13'6". (3/13/2009)
Response:
vmt can have cradle ready in two days and transport boat and cradle to port (3/16/2009)
Question:
vmt can build your in 2 days for ocean shipping and transport her to the port.we carry twic cards to enter the port. thank you ,viking marine transport (3/16/2009)
Question:
is dock reciept ready? do you have a booking?vmt (3/16/2009)
Response:
Not yet, will have booking info in the next few days. What I have so far: Transport = $3600 (includes insurance all taxes & fees except loading and unloading). Cradle = $1280 Yes, this is a cradle for a freighter. Iemskip (shipper) requires a cradle with the boat and does not provide one. If possible my client would like the boat picked up on the 24th to be delivered to Richmond by the 26th to make the deadline for delivery. Is that possible? (3/16/2009)
Response:
is vmt constructing the cradle? (3/16/2009)
Response:
If we go with your bid, yes, you would be constructing the cradle. I was just letting you know what we have been given thus far for bids. 1 did not respond regarding the cradle, and 1 other did respond and quoted $1280. Transport costs are virtually identical, my concern now is can the boat be picked up on the 23rd and delivered by the 26th? (3/16/2009)
Question:
peter, please let me know your intentions as meeting your dates are becoming critical. thank you (3/17/2009)
Response:
Hello, I've accepted the bid but need to put a deposit. My clients are from Greenland and wired all the funds yesterday. I need to call them and get a credit card to make the deposit, that's the hold up. I'm talking to my company to see about using our company card so we can accept it today. I've approved everything with the client. Please stand by. (3/17/2009)
