Response: : Hi Thanks for the response. A special $80 kit is available for large flat/plasma tv's. I used it on my last trip and it worked well. Based on your listed items you need about 1000 cubic feet. I usually use a 26' truck so you need roughly 3/4 of the truck. I can plan this trip with your dates and fill the balance of the truck with smaller loads. Below is my bid which will include the second pick up as well as packing materials for the TV's.4/22/2009

Response: : Once the truck is full it takes me 3.5-4 days to cross. If you need more time in between to find a new place then perhaps I could arrive a few days later. The way I see it is picking up your 2 loads and then getting 1 or 2 smaller loads, delivering the 2 smaller loads first and then unloading your load a week later.4/22/2009

In terms of lead time: My next trip starts May 11th. and I fly back on May 18th. If you decide before I leave on my next trip then that is ideal. That way I only have to worry about filling 1/4 of the truck which takes a few days. I expect you to get other bids shortly. Response: I am in NYC now and would not anticipate a "delivery date" around June 5-6th. But our goal is to get out there and look right away which means it could be as soon as May 29th . 4/22/2009

Response: : Another option is that I keep the truck for an additional week so that you have the time to find a house or simply deliver your load to a storage facility in the area that you are looking for a house. Keeping the truck for an extra week is the least expensive of the two. your thoughts.4/22/2009

Response: I will need to think about it. I appreciate your willingness to be flexible but if I do not find a house quickly (that would be the wifes fault) then I would be worried about logistics. I am planning on nailing down quickly. Are your travel dates flexible in late May/early June and is the price the same?4/22/2009

Response: : Ideally I like to wait 2-3 weeks between trips. However in this case I am willing to do it sooner since it means that I don't have to spend administrative time pulling a trip together and believe me when I say that many hours are spent just pulling together smaller loads for the same departure time. If after pick up you need me to wait a week with the truck then this would add $400 to the total. I am open to this since this will allow me to rest up. Your thoughts.4/22/2009

Hi Chris Are you in a 3 flight walk up? also I would like to mention that of the 54 matches that I have on record with uship I only have 2 cancellations; one of them I actually fulfilled at a later date coming from CA back to NY and the other was a bid that was canceled since I was not doing a return trip. I am willing to risk another cancellation with respect to your load. I am saying this because I feel it is necessary for me to inspect your load prior to pick up so that we can both be on the same page in terms of your needs as well as the amount of space you need on the truck. I am local so the benefit to you is meeting me before hand and if you do not feel at ease with me we can both cancel and you can re list. You have a full month before your potential pick up. Response: Here is the deal, I want to strike deal now and get this out of the way. I am more than willing to meet you in the city at our apartment but meeting you at the long island joint is impossible. There is no walking that I know of, we are on 5th floor but there is a service elevator. Here is the kicker, I have had two that came back at $3800 and $4200 but are not flexible. My concern and I say this with experience is that you might need more than 20'of truck space. 5000 is the net of my first bid after fees.
