Questions for this shipment:

Question: Shipper, is trailer road ready and legal? Is boat truly 9 ft wide or possibly 8.5 ft (so as not to require a permit) and could you be ready to ship by end of the week? (6/12/2006)
Response: Boat is on trailer in a storage unit in Brighton, Colorado with current tag. The boat is actually 8.5 feet...I rounded it off to 9 feet by mistake. It could be ready to ship any time. If you bid, please also give me the cost of your "Full Value Protection" coverage. Thanks. (6/12/2006)
Question: Is this on A Trailer? DO I need permits? (6/12/2006)
Response: This is on a trailer with valid tags. The width of the boat is actually 8.5 feet. I am not sure about the permits. If you bid, please include the cost of "Full Value Protection" coverage. Thanks. (6/12/2006)
Question: Shipper, I would like to verify that the weight is correct (2600 pounds). If so, would you be interested in me picking it up on Thursday and delivering it within four days, with you providing the insurance (which can be purchased at uship communitites. I could do this for $1200 if it is ready to go by Thursday. (6/13/2006)
Response: I have copied the specifications from the "Colgate26.com" website as below. It is on a trailer, so I need to find out for sure that this does not include the trailer weight. I am most interested in your offer and will be back in touch when I find out about the trailer and the insurance. Thanks. LOA 25'8" LWL 20'0" BEAM 8'6" DRAFT STD 4'6" (Shoal 3'6") DISPLACEMENT 2600 LBS. (Shoal 2800 LBS.) BALLAST STD 1050 LBS. (Shoal 1250 LBS.) SAIL AREA 338 SQ. FT. (6/13/2006)
Question: Shipper, don't worry about the weight, just check on the insurance and let me know if it can be ready to hitch up and haul on Thursday. If so I will place the discussed bid. (6/13/2006)
Response: Okay. I will respond to you tomorrow (Wednesday) morning regarding insurance. Thanks. (6/13/2006)
Question: Shipper...bigwheelsc again...while you are considering my offer I have one other question: Is the mast and all moving parts secured and ready to be transported? Also, is it to be dropped off "as is" with no assembly? I guess what I'm saying is, for the $1200 price I'll be bidding, I'd like to be assured that all I have to do is hook up, tow away, and unhook in Mississippi. Thank you. (6/13/2006)
Response: I am almost positive that it is ready to go. I need to drive to storage unit to be sure. It has been dry-docked for a long time. Also, I have made arrangements with marina in Mississippi for them to meet you at the marina to put it in the water. I am still checking on insurance. I am waiting for our insurance company to fax me a dec page. (6/13/2006)
Question: So you pretty much already got this offer but I don't know where you stand with the other so I'll go ahead and bid. I'll be leaving the Denver area Thursday to head to Dallas. I could tack on the extra mileage to get this to you for 1200. But this is also without insurance. My insurance will cover liability damages but not damage to your boat. If you can get that figured out or I'll check into what it will take to get insurance on it later today, then maybe we can work something out. I've pulled boats before and I even brought one back from Dallas. Check my feedback. I'll go ahead and put my bid in. Thanks TJSteve (6/14/2006)
Response: Thanks for your bid. I am currently getting a dec page from our insurance company. I will be back in touch. Thanks. (6/14/2006)
Question: Shipper, when you say made arrangements with the marina, do you mean they will assemble and launch. I have no experience either assembling or sailing a sail boat. However I will be very flexible about meeting their personnel at a time and date that is convenient to them so that they can launch the boat and I will be glad to assist them any way I can. I'm still headed your way and anxious to hear back from you. Thanks for your consideration. bigwheelsc (6/14/2006)
Response: I'm going to accept your bid of $1,000.00. I am almost positive the boat is ready to pull. It is dry-docked in Brighton, Colorado. I will ensure that you will not have to unassemble, etc. in Mississippi, even if it means dumping it out on the ground at the marina. I know the marina owner said he will meet you there and help. Thanks. (6/14/2006)
