Response: David - sorry I am only considering quotes that include drivers with their own insurance . And I am working out the details with the auto-dealer to get transporter tags for the trip - because I don't want to pay taxes and registration in Illinois. Trailering might be necessary. (1/4/2009)

Response: Glad You Asked About Insurance!
The Best Way To Make Sure You Have Complete Insurance Coverage Is To Buy It Yourself! You Can Usually Add This To Your Existing Policy On Line Or Over The Phone. If You Don't Have A Policy Now You Can Start One On Line Easily.
My Customers Agree With Me That Relying On Alleged Insurance Of Unknown Number Of Handlers You Don't Know,Didn't Screen And Can't Verify And That Is Subject To Cancellation,Buck Passing Or Lapse Is Not A Good Idea! (What Is The Deductible? How Much Will They Pay You If Your Car Damaged,Totaled Or Stolen? Is Damage That Is Not Driver's Fault Like Hail,Tornado,Theft,Vandalism,Or Other Guy Runs Red light Covered?)
I Am Not A Broker So I Will Be The Only One Handling,Driving And Protecting Your Car! I Won't Tear Your Mirror Off,Damage Your Undercarriage Or Scratch Up Your Door Or Fenders Loading And Unloading In The Extremely Tight Quarters Of A Car Trailer!

Question: I can drive this for you. (1/3/2009)

Response: Chad, please quote on delivering the vehicle - in the next two weeks. subtract gas as I will reimburse gas with receipts (medium grade gas). I have a few other offers to consider. consider these $ Air fare is about $120-150 (ORBITZ) from SLC to Chicago-Ohare so with gas reimbursed and a drop off at the terminal airfare or bus (about the same price) please give me you quote. (1/3/2009)

Response: Robert, my bid will be all inclusive just to let you know. I would prefer a Greyhound over a flight as well. I could do it for 775.00 (1/3/2009)

Response: Chad, I need to determine if the vehicle will have some type of temporary plates for the trip. someone else asked if the vehicle would be licensed. coming from a truck dealer they should be able to place a transport plate or something - maybe the vehicle has some existing time left on the plate stickers - the dealership is closed so I cannot get an answer until Monday - maybe you have some experience with this matter. - Robert I now understand the quoting service requires "inclusive quotes only" - thanks (1/3/2009)

Response: Yes, they should provide a temporary tag, but here in Florida if you buy a vehicle and you want temp tag you have to pay the sales tax on the purchase amount. That doesnt mean much for your state. You wouldnt be required to pay sale tax on it twice though. So you only pay taxes on it once. I've seen people do it because the tax is cheaper in the other location. (1/3/2009)

Question: Hi! After reading your ad, I could do this for $435 as long as the van has proper plates and insurance. I have a class A CDL and formerly drove semi across the country. I would give you GPS updates via email, and would have it there next day. I would only require a deposit to pick it up. The deposit would need to be paid via credit card for both of our protection. Let me know what you think. If I can be of service to you, I will gladly place a bid. Regards - Andrea (28 year old starving college student!) (1/3/2009)

Response: Andrea
Thats a good question- I had not thought about needed license plates I have to ask the truck dealer about temporary plates- Insurance, I had expected that to be part of the drivers responsibility. I'll have to investigate and let you know - delivery price is Fair. How would you travel back. air or bus?
Robert (1/3/2009)

Response: Robert, I would be flying back. All bids on here are supposed to be inclusive (gas included, tolls, etc.) just to let you know. I think that you might have a hard time finding people to bid on this because of that. If I were to place a bid, we would need to figure something out. - Andrea (1/3/2009)

Response: Andrea, I am seriously considering your offer and would add $300 for gas to your current offer however we need to resolve the drivers insurance and transporter tags. I need to make sure I can get transporter tags from the dealer because I don't want to pay for taxes and registration in Illinois. And I would need to know that you are insured for the trip.
I have a flexible week to pick up the van and get it delivered. -Robert (1/4/2009)

Response: Robert, please make no mistake. I am a former trucking company owner that has decided to get out of the business because it does not make me enough money to live the life that I would like to live. I started my business at the age of 23, and have since ceased operations due to the lack of loads out here and the current economy. Also I had an issue where my truck broke down when transporting something for someone on here, and the guy freaked out... I ended up spending $800 out of my pocket to get him his load as soon as possible, and he still left me negative feedback. I figure leave the loads on here for the people that really want to fight for them. I have been in the industry now for 5 years, and got out to go back to school to do other things in the transportation field. I'm a manager and a captain at heart! I enjoy being educated, something that you don't always find in drivers! If you don't go with someone else, I can check on insurance for me driving the van. Regards - Andrea (1/4/2009)

Question: Hi 27 years transporting doing this to feed our family. Not to get xtra cash for college, or somebody that has to go somewhere so they place a bid to off set the cost of their trip. Your van will be covered by our insrance, transporter plates, & DOT/MC #s. We could do this for your $ 800.00, if your intrested we will plac bid. Thanks Mark (1/3/2009)

Response: Mark, so I undersand you will drive the vehicle to Orem for the $800 inclusive of all gas and other fees including provide your own insurance and secure the transporter tags (plates)? I was planning on registering the vehicle in Utah after the trip. If necessary what would you charge to trailer the vehicle? Do you have the option to trailer. - Robert (1/4/2009)
