Question: Hello, how soon are looking to ship your vehicle? I'll be in the area saturday dropping a vehicle off and heading in that direction. I can ship your vehicle for $775 total charges. If this will work for you let me know and I'll place bid. Rod. (9/18/2007)

Response: That would definitely work, I'd like the car to be in an enclosed trailer just because it's such a long haul. I'll have to get a check out today and he'll have to release the car. It is very doable though if he gets the check on thursday and deposits, it will be cleared by friday and the car should be released Sat. When would you be in Dallas? My address is directly off most major highways in Dallas including I 35 (9/18/2007)

Response: Hi again, I should be back by tuesday evening. However, I do not have enclosed. Let me know and I,ll place bid if still interested. Rod. (9/18/2007)

Response: As long as there is a rock gaurd I think we'd be ok, Basically what I'm worried about is rock chips on a 1400mile haul. It looks like your trailer is elevated and I'd go for it if you use the trailer that is out of the way of road debris. I just remembered, we have one other problem and that is the guy is supposed to go to Reno this weekend. (9/18/2007)

Response: Hello, yes the trailer is wide and I would put it in the middle to avoid as much debris as possible. So, with him going to Reno was does that do for pickup times? Rod. (9/18/2007)

Response: I just got off the phone with Robert he's going to be out of town so unfortunately we won't be able to do it this weekend. If you make another cross country in the next week or so we'll be good. He only needs two to three hours heads up for pick up during the week and weekends. I'm really shooting for around $500 I know that's super cheap but he's right outside of LA and I'm directly off 35 so it will be a good add on to a shipment already going north. (9/18/2007)

Response: Ok will thank you and have great day. Rod. (9/18/2007)

Response: I appreciate it Rod. I would definitely accept your bid if it were a day we could work it so if you have another trip scheduled next week or soon, hollar at me.
Thanks again,
Keith (9/18/2007)

Response: Kieth, if there is a way you can get it work out for saturday pickup, I'll ship it for $675 total charges. If not i understand and maybe next time. Rod. (9/19/2007)

Response: Hey monday would work if you can give him two to three hours notice. If you want, make the bid for $675 total and I'll accept it. I would like my car to be up top if possible of your trailer so it won't get torn up with road debris. Thank you Keith (9/23/2007)

Response: Hello again, I had some things to come up and won't be leaving La until monday afternoon. So, if there's anything we can do I'm hear. Rod. (9/22/2007)

Response: Oh, one last thing... if you leave tomorrow, when will I receive the car?
Keith (9/23/2007)

Response: Hello Kieth, It would be better if I could pick it up Tuesday afternoon. Going to Sacromento to deliver one & pick one up. Then will be coming back to La. If this works let me know and I'll place bid tomorrow. Thanks Rod. (9/23/2007)

Response: sure, may even be easier on Ed. Two things, one will you be hauling on the trailer on your pic and two when would you have the car to me? If you are hauling on the overhead trailer, I just wanna make sure that the car isn't getting hit with road debris... bugs I can handle. I think your profile said you insure your cars you haul as well? Anyways gimme the details make the bid and you got yourself a deal.
Keith (9/23/2007)

Response: Keith, yes the vehicle will be insured, and I'll be hauling on the trailer you seen in pic. Moreover, I have several bids for a few pick and drops across the route; however, once your vehicle is on trailer it won't come off til I get to you. It will take me approximately 2-3 days once I pick it up. I'll place bid and we can talk more. Thanks, Rod. (9/23/2007)

Response: great so you'll pick up tuesday and have it to me in two to three days. Car stays on trailer, is insured and it will be up high enough to avoid road debris. Sounds like a plan lets get this done. You'll have to give Ed a call two to three hours in advance so he can meet you but after that it's smooth sailing. I work for myself so do the same, two to three hours ahead of time and I'll be here awaiting.
Keith (9/23/2007)

Question: You want enclosed for this? (9/18/2007)

Response: I'd prefer enclosed but a lift trailer or a flat bed with a rock shield would work. Basically I don't want a classic car being shredded with gravel and tar on a 1400 mile trek.
Keith (9/18/2007)

Response: What are you looking to pay if I do enclosed? I can also do on a 2-4 car trailer! (9/18/2007)

Response: The car doesn't have to be enclosed per se. I just don't want it on a flat bed being drug behind a truck with no protection from road debris. If you have a rock gaurd or someone is willing to put their car in front of mine I'd work it. I'm getting bids from high 600's to high 700's right now on it.
Keith (9/18/2007)

Question: Keith, I leave CA for Ft Worth on Sat 9-22-07. Canyon Country is 30 minutes from me. I am in Lancaster. You mentioned that the guy with the car is going to Reno. Do you know when? He will have to pass through Lancaster to go there. Maybe he could bring the car to me, or I could catch him before he leaves. I'll do it for $750 if we can make it happen by Friday. By the way, it will ride on the two car trailer along with a 57 Buick Century Convertible that I will be picking up in Phoenix, and taking to Ft Worth. Billy Wilkins Lancaster CA (2coinnuts) (9/18/2007)

Response: Hey Billy, I'm sorry I thought I had gotten back to you. The guy can't release the car on Saturday because he'll be in Reno. I tried to get him to take it to Lancaster but he said he's going a back way to Reno and won't be going through Lancaster???? If you could put off until monday I'd accept that bid, you could get the car, and come on over to Texas.
Keith (9/19/2007)

Response: Keith, Sounds fine to me. I am setting here at home in Lancaster, so its not like I'm stuck waiting for it. I'll go ahead and place the bid, knowing that pick-up will be Monday. Will you make sure that I can get it in the AM? I'd like to make Phoenix that night. Also, if you will take a look at the picture of my two car trailer on my profile, you'll see that with my elevated hitch reciever, the front of the trailer sets higher than the rear bumper on my Dodge duelly. The Camaro should not even get bugs on it. It will line up right behind the tailgate. Thanks Much, Billy (9/19/2007)

Question: Keith, One more question. Can you find out if Robert will be back from Reno to where I could load the car up on Sunday evening? Billy (9/21/2007)

Response: I'll call him Sunday afternoon and see what he says.
Keith (9/21/2007)

Response: Keith, Thanks Much. Two points I would like to make. Remember, the lowest bid does not always go hand in hand with the best quality of service. Also, if I need to, I will work with you some on the cost, if it will assure me of the job. Please let me know just where we stand by Sunday. I am ready to go. Billy (9/22/2007)

Response: Billy, I talked to Ed but he was driving and said he'd call me back when he got home but I have a feeling I'll be asleep before then. He did say last week though that monday pick up was fine, just give him a few hours. Were you still planning on leaving on monday? If you haul, does Uship still provide insurance for my car? It's been a while since I've used them. If you do leave monday and we work this out, when will you be in Dallas? (9/23/2007)

Question: Keith, Did you get an answer from Robert about the best Pick-Up time? Please stay in touch. I'm ready to load up. Billy (9/22/2007)

Response: Actually, no. I've been slammed all day and just got in. I'll try and call him tomorrow but I thought you wanted to leave on Monday? He'll be back on Monday and ready to ship he told me that on thursday. There is another shipper that's cheaper and I'm waiting to hear back from them as well. I understand your point about quality isn't always the cheapest but I have an overhead on this one I'm trying to keep down as well. As long as the car gets here safely and in a timely manner I don't care who hauls it.
Keith (9/22/2007)

Response: Keith,
Did you get this done? I thought you would allow me to counter bid. Let me know for sure, OK? Billy (9/23/2007)

Response: I thought you'd already taken off Billy. I sent you a few messages and noticed your bid had expired. Yes I did get a great price on the shipment with a guy who has perfect feedback and is bringing to me covered. I'll have a few more shipments this month and I'll try to reach you.
Keith (9/24/2007)

Response: Keith, Thanks much for the reply. Please keep me on you favorite service providers list. (By the way, VERY NICE CAR!) Billy (9/25/2007)

Response: Thank you Billy and I'll do that. Sorry about the miscommunication. (9/25/2007)
