Response: Greetings David, Thanks for your interest!The auction ends tomorrow morning at about 7:30 a.m. EST, and I'll know more at that point. Hopefully, I'll be the winning bidder and will ask the vehicle owner how soon we can get the payment and paperwork done so someone can pick the Blazer up right away and begin the drive to Utah. He says he'll accept a bank wire transfer which I'll do if I win the auction, and hopefully the Blazer can be picked up tomorrow or this weekend. I had a mechanic look at the Blazer today, and he said it is in very good condition with no problems (it has 75k miles and will make a long trip), it is 4WD, has AT, the AC is cold, and it has the 4.2L Vortec engine which should get 20-22 mpg on the highway. Should be able to use regular gas. If possible, I'll need the Blazer to arrive in Price, Utah no later than Thursday, September 3rd as I plan on taking off Saturday for vacation. Response: Hi Judy, Thank you for your bid . . . I've been on the phone all morning with the seller, my insurance company and New York DMV. NY DMV requires my signature on the Blazer's title before they'll issue 30-day "In-Transit" tags so it can be driven. The earliest I can realistically expect to have someone pickup and drive the Blazer to Utah will be Monday or Tuesday of next week if the title is overnighted to me today for signature. I realize this probably puts you out of the window to make this delivery work. I apologize for the inconvenience and should've known better that I couldn't do a quick turnaround on this as I originally planned. I appreciate you submitting the bid. Thanks, Marvin (8/28/2009)

Response: I was just looking up flights to Buffalo to pick up your Blazer! I can arrive at Buffalo airport at 8:07 AM Monday morning. If you would accept my bid now.. I could make arrangements to pick up your Blazer on Monday and would have it to you by Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. I do need you to accept the bid so I can get my reservations made. Response: Hi Judy, Thanks for your continued interest! Sorry for not replying sooner . . . I'm just now getting back to where I left off this morning. I won't be able to commit on the shipment until tomorrow at the earliest - my main concern is I'm in a remote area of Utah (you know Price!), and it looks like I'll receive the overnight shipment with the Blazer's title tomorrow, but I won't be able to overnight it back out until Monday (ground service here only on Saturday). I'll know more in the morning . . . I may have the option of traveling 60 miles closer to civilization and getting the overnight letter sent out Saturday, but I need to research this more. The combination of NY DMV's stringent licensing requirements, Geico's insurance requirements and trying to overnight documents back and forth over the weekend to a rural city have proven to be somewhat of a challenge. Response: Judy, Here's the latest - the overnight shipment I was expecting didn't arrive today . . . I found out UPS doesn't make deliveries on Saturday, so I'm now looking at Monday. That means I'm looking at Tuesday late . . . more likely Wednesday for a vehicle pick-up, if everything goes well. There's an additional concern - I haven't heard from or been in contact with the seller of the Blazer since mid-day yesterday. I'll give it until tomorrow evening to see if he returns my call/email, and go from there. This transaction hasn't gone well so far and I may have bit off more than I can chew. I appreciate your willingness to work with me, but I can't expect you to put other work you have on hold until I get myself squared away - I'd understand totally if the latest timeframe is not workable for the other commitments you have, and you need to do something different. Response: Marvin, I am sorry that you having a hard time! I have my schedule open until Tuesday, Sept 8. I changed another delivery from this week until next week to accommodate your shipment so I could get your new Blazer to you for your vacation! I see you changed your dates and so my bid was cancelled, if you want me to re-bid, I can still do this for you ... picking up Tuesday evening or Wednesday. I have decided to go on to Buffalo NY (Niagara Falls) for our anniversary (42 years on Sept 2nd) since I may be picking up your Blazer there. If you want me to place another bid, I can do so with open dates and you can let me know when you get it all set up, I will be in Buffalo Monday and Tuesday anyway whether I pick up your Blazer or not! Response: Judy, Latest - I talked with the seller early this morning and confirmed that the overnight letter was sent through USPS. I just got off the phone with USPS in Price, and they say they have the letter which I'll pick up at 9:00 a.m. MST. I'll sign the title and try to get it overnighted right back out. I'm not sure if you're near a computer today, but let me know if you're still interested. The earliest time for a pickup would be late Tuesday afternoon, most likely Wednesday morning. I see Sept. 2nd falls on Wednesday - are you sure you want to be traveling on your anniversary date??? I can postpose for an additional day to Thursday morning, if you want to pick it up then. Response: Hi Judy, I got the overnight package, signed off on the title and sent it back Express Mail through USPS. They won't guarantee overnight (Tuesday) delivery as all mail goes out late in the day. They'll guarantee Wednesday delivery by 3:00 p.m. EST, so it's looking like probably Thursday for a pickup. Let me know if this timing works for you, and I'll accept your bid. I've updated the street address on uShip where the Blazer is located. The seller's name is Richard Seefried, and his name and address information can be Googled. I suggest you coordinate with him to firm up a pickup date and time (what's best for him either Wednesday or Thursday after he gets the "in-transit" tags from DMV). I'll also let Richard know where we're at, and that you'll be giving him a call within the next couple of days. Richard is also a minister at a church in a nearby town.
