Questions for this shipment:

Question: I can make this shipment right away for you. (5/19/2007)
Response: There is no IMMEDIATE need. However if a pickup was made Monday AM, I could have extra hands available to load the cabinet. I expect to leave Monday afternoon for Vermont. I cannot be sure of extra help to unload until Friday (anytime). The cow is easy to handle. The TV is a 2 man pick. The cabinet is the problem. It is both heavy and large. I moved it here and found it very awkward. A lift gate would be helpful. Upon arrival I do not know exactly what to expect. There are 2 ways to reach the door. There is ongoing work on the property that may create a problem for the easiest & level route to the door. If extra help was assured I can improvise. No matter the route I take it always seems to be 235 miles(+ or -2miles). My drive time usually runs about 4 1/2 hours. What are your costs? Robert Bala (5/19/2007)
Question: I am unable to view your map, can you please let me know where Jackson Heights NY is, what other main city is it next to? Thanks Craig (5/20/2007)
Response: Jackson Heights is in northern Queens county (part of New York City). I am located between La Guardia Airport and the Triborough Bridge, closer to LGA. Robert Bala (5/20/2007)
Question: Thanks for your location information. I no longer service the NYC area, sorry. Have a great day Craig at UBOXIT. (5/20/2007)
Question: Hello, Shipper. Will there be help available for loading and unloading the cabinet? How difficult is the pick-up point (i.e., turns, steps, etc.)? And what is the delivery location like? Thank you & I look forward to your resaponse. Greyhound. (5/31/2007)
Response: The pick-up point is ground level. No turns nor steps. Distance from door to curb is no more than30'. Even that could be shortened by backing into a driveway. The delivery location is rural. There is a semicircular drive in the front of the house with an extension that leads to a lower level. It is about an 8-10% grade. If you can unload in the middle of the grade it is about 80' over even, unpaved ground to the easiest door. It is 2 steps up to the desired location. While the drives are not paved they are quite firm and support fuel delivery trucks and recently heavy equipment. There is plenty of room to maneuver. The more specific your timing, the more I can be assured of additional help. Given a reasonable time frame I can virtually guarantee 2-3 hands at pick-up point. The delivery location is unoccupied. If the delivery is not immediate, I can drive up within 24 hours and be available to assist in off-loading. While awkward, the cow is not a problem. RB (5/31/2007)
Question: Hi, and thanx for your quick response. I will be leaving NY for my New England run on the 6th (Wednesday). I can pick-up early to mid morning on my way out and deliver in Vermont on Saturday, the 9th. I have a custom built trolley with 4" wheels and a custom ramp (including a winch). As long as we have extra hands to help out, I can safely say $225.00 plus U-Ship fees--should be under $275.00 total. If this works for you, I'll bid formally. Thank you. Greyhound. (5/31/2007)
Question: Given my last communication, with the timeframe articulated, can you be certain that there will be help in on- and off-loading. That is how I will base my bid. Please advise. Thank you. Greyhound. (6/1/2007)
Response: I'm working on the logistics. I will advise ASAP with ample lead time to allow for bidding process plus your own route planning. Bob (6/1/2007)
Question: Thanx for your response. I'll be home this weekend, then gone Monday and back Tuesday. Leaving Wednesday for New England and won't have access to e-mail. I'll place a formal bid as soon as you're sure the logistics are worked out. Regards, Greyhound. (6/1/2007)
Response: Lookin' good. But I am not yet wholly confident about having help to unload. I think I will be able to give assurances by Tues. I'll stay in touch. Bob Bala (6/1/2007)
Question: hello i can pick up on monday in the morning and deliver in the evening of the same day for 400 i will place a bid.ike (6/1/2007)
Response: The timing would not work for me even if your proposed bid was not 50% higher than one I am considering. Thanks anyway. Bob Bala (6/1/2007)
Question: Excellent. Please keep me posted. Thank you. Greyhound. (6/2/2007)
Response: Set up your bid. Arrangements have been made for three younger (stronger?) hands to assist in unloading in VT. That problem is solved. Help will probably be needed here in Jackson Heights to load. I would appreciate it if you can firm up an arrival time. I may find it necessary to "borrow" a few people who are otherwise "on the clock". Their employer will probably lend them to me for 10-15 minutes to do the actual loading but I am certain he would object to any extended waiting time. Bob (6/2/2007)
