Response: Afternoon, probably between 2pm and 6pm. I'll be coming up from LA with a stop in Stockton, then up to meet you in Sacramento. No crate is necessary, but if you WANT to have one with him, then any you need to send along is fine. I have an XXL pop up crate already if it becomes necessary. Otherwise he would just ride loose with us in the van so he can enjoy the scenery, too! (3/2/2008)

Response: Oooops! I put in the wrong amount! Citrus Heights isn't that far off the beaten path. I meant to put in $290. I'll go change that. In the meantime, please provide two days worth of food, his bowls, and a leash for walking/playing. We make several stops along the way to let your big guy stretch his legs. He will be leashed any time the car stops BEFORE we open the doors. Quick question. How is your big guy with cats? I may have one going with us and I want to segregate accordingly if he likes to eat kitties. It's not a problem as I've had to transport this way before and it worked out fine for both the kitty and the big guys. Plus the kitty has her crate that she'd rather stay in anyway. (3/3/2008)

Response: Ok, so I got a response about the cat thing...apparently he hasn't had any exposure to cats in his 2 year history with their family so they're not sure about how he'll do. In my experience with him he's very focused on humans so I'm thinking he'll ignore the cat after the initial introduction. (3/4/2008)
