Additional Information: I will need boat transported from Michigan to Texas, Houston or to save your time the Dallas area. Ideally, would like this boat transported on a flatbed type trailer but it could be towed as well. Trailer has been completely refreshed this year and should not be a problem according to current owner. Transport will be necessary in the next week or so, due to storage constrictions. Not critical but getting there. Sorry for short notice but deal just came back together after apart a weeks ago, and should finalize today. Will try to work around your schedule if possible. If you have a load in or near Michigan (Detroit area) then maybe we could work something out. Thanks

Response: Thanks for the rebid. As I remember, I think you said earlier that your trailer is a flatbed. Problem is boat and trailer will have to be winched off as I have no means to lift it off the trailer upon arrival. Are you able to winch or do you have to have means to lift off trailer? Response: My flatbed has a winch so I can get the boat on and off the trailer. In your listing you asked for a flatbed transport. That is what I bidded on. Your other bids are much lower because they are only "tow aways". It cost more to run a flatbed and a truck 1300 miles than just a truck by itself. More fuel, wear and tear on the truck, trailer and etc. What would you like to pay for a flatbed transport? It you don't think you can afford it, I could rebid for just a "tow away" as your other bidders have done. Please advise. Thanks (10/25/2009)

Response: OK. I realize that there is more cost involved with a flatbed, just didn't realize how much. My mistake. Also, if I didn't think I could afford it, I would drive up and get it. I am just not going to pay that much to get it moved on a flatbed. I will have it towed. If you want to bid it for tow-away, please do. (10/25/2009)

Response: I understand and I didn't mean to offend you if I did. When I said "afford", I was strictly talking flatbed cost versus tow away. A flatbed trailer to carry your boat weighs about 6-7k lbs, which in essence would double the weight when your boat is loaded versus a tow away. I will bid on the tow. Thanks for your consideration. Response: Thanks for your bid. I will make a decision later this week. Finalizing the deal right now. Should be done today or tomorrow at latest. If I accept, next week delivery would be A-OK. Response: Talked to current ex-owner this evening. Deal has gone through and I am ready to move this boat. Is at a marina on the trailer and can be picked up anytime after Wednesday. We are checking and think the yard guy at marina will be winterizing and shrinkwrapping this weekend. Could possibly pick up Sat. or Sun. if that would fit your schedule for delivery next week. If so, I will confirm. If possible could you make this run for $1200. Would be more in my ballpark. I have read almost all your feedback and would really like to use your services. Response: Would be up there in about 3 days, $1500 for towing and $1900 on our trailer. I realize this is higher than the bids you have but as you can see we do things safe, legal and properly insured. Thanks (10/28/2009)

Response: The storage side of the marina where it is at is closed on weekends. It would have to pickup on Friday or the next week. It is ready to go except for checking tires, lugs and bearing grease for safety sake. However, if it is trailered that becomes a moot point. When do you need to know? Am waiting on two more bids requests but I don't know if they will bid or not. My deadline for them is tomorrow evening. I understand and appreciate the safety aspect. I saw you profile page and saw liability but do you have cargo as well? Could you trailer it down here for $1700? If so, please let me know. If not, i will have to look at towing it down. Response: Are cargo ins is $100,000 specific boat ins. As a contract carrier they do not usally put ins on that form. Common carrier they do but the amount is only 10,000 on that. Carriers do have more than that but is the min amount and that is what ins co. show. We would fax a copy Ins upon acceptance of a bid. (10/28/2009)
