Question:
3/31/2014
are you sure on height. and do you know your budget?Report a Violation
Response: Got the height from Ritchie Specs. Yes! I don't have any additional information about the transport height. I have to go with Ritchie Specs. Hope that's OK. Regarding budget, we had a bid of about $1500 for a similar previous listing so hoping for something like that.3/31/2014Report a Violation
Question:
3/31/2014
Hello Darryl, I appreciate the request. We can get this moved for you here in the next couple weeks. We specialize in transporting equipment like this and we can get it done for around 1950. Let me know if we can help out with anything. Thank you, HH TruckingReport a Violation
Response: Hello, Thank you, I appreciate your response and bid. I was hoping for a bid closer to the one for our previous load. Let me know if this is possible or if it is just wishful thinking!! Thanks Darryl4/1/2014Report a Violation
Response: I'm not sure what the previous number was. My real concern is that there is absolutely no freight coming out of Wyoming right now and if I did it any cheaper it really wouldn't be worth it to us. Let me know what you think. Thanks again, HH Trucking4/1/2014Report a Violation
Response: I understand. All I can ask is do your best and we will see where we are at the end. Thank you.4/1/2014Report a Violation
Response: Hello Darryl, I will post my bid now for you to look at. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. If we do end up making a deal I will need about 10 days or so to get this out to you. Thanks Darryl, HH Trucking4/2/2014Report a Violation
Response: Thank you for your bid. That is fine regarding the time. We are pretty flexible.4/2/2014Report a Violation
Response: Sounds good, let me know what I can do so we can wrap this thing up. I will get this scheduled and we will get her moved for you. Thanks Darryl, HH Trucking4/3/2014Report a Violation
Response: cheers - we will let you know.4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: I am based out of Grand Junction, CO as well so Carbondale is not far at all from me. I will do my best to make this right for you. Thanks, HH Trucking4/3/2014Report a Violation
Response: Is you quotation based on having to make detours around bridges because of a 12' transport height? I ask because someone else asked a question suggesting that detours are necessary. I think if you can put the back hoe down the height is shorter i.e according to Ritchie 8 feet or so. Thank you.4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: I will have to make detours and get permits for the height yes. So with that being said I will do it for 1900. Let me know. Thanks4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: OK thanks. It appears that there is some confusion on the height. Ritchie specs shows that the actual cab height is only 8'-9"" if you look at dimension "F". If the trailer is long enough the height could be reduced by lowering the backhoe boom correct? Thanks4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: That is correct. I have hauled a lot of these and have never had a problem with the height. I have also hauled a lot of equipment and had it over what the specs showed. If there is not a height issue I will keep my bid as is. Thanks4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: OK thanks4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: Is this something that we can wrapped up soon? Let me know as I am filling up fast for the next couple weeks. Thanks again, HH Trucking4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: Yes shortly. Are you still 10 days out or do you have a space sooner? As I said we are flexible although eager to get the backhoe home!4/5/2014Report a Violation
Question:
4/4/2014
The height on this is going to force re-routing at many, if not most over or under passes & it also has additional items, correct, so the weight is closer to 15,500?Report a Violation
Response: I think if the trailer is big enough you can put the boom down and get the total height lower if necessary down to the cab height. I don't know the weight of the extra items. You would have more experience with estimating that I would think. Thank you for your interest.4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: Thanks for responding. The "C" dimensions on RB's indicates 12'3" to top of cab, so it's 12'3" regardless of boom or bucket. I can definitely fit it & pull it, but my 40ft. flat bed is 3' off the ground; that makes transporting height over 15'. Most over passes are around 13'6"-14'8", approximately. To be sure there are ones over 15' or more, but enough of them that interstate travel will require lots of exiting & that's assuming there is an Off/On ramp. If I did this, I'd be inclined to take LOTS of back Hwy's & roads. I'll keep it in mind.4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: Thank you for your email. I believe the top of the cab is "F". If I'm not mistaken the "C" dimension is the boom in the locked position, or that's how I read the diagram? But I have never shipped a backhoe before so it is very possible I am wrong. Thank you for your interest. 4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: I think you're right. I was following the line all the way over to the top of the cab in the side view; it's the same, however, "F", does have the 8' height identified. Wonder why they do that? That does make a big difference(if accurate)however, if there are 3 or 4 extra tires, hay attachment & other items, this is going to weigh closer to 16K(or more)I'm only capable up to 15.5K,. If I knew the exact weight of all items, I could bid & get this done next Monday-Wednesday. Thanks for your time. All the best.4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: Yes the diagram with the C height is misleading I think. Have you moved a backhoe before? I don't have any way to confirm the weight of the additional items. Sorry for that and thank you.4/4/2014Report a Violation
Response: Yes, I have moved just about everything, but nit over my weight rating, so there are many things I simply can't do. 4/4/2014Report a Violation
