Additional Information:
1990 25 ft Catalina sailboat on a trailrite trailer in good condition to be transported from a inside storage facility in Aurora, Colorado to dry dock at Clinton Lake in Lawrence Kansas. Boat on but not presently tied down to trailer. Trailer bearings look to be in good shape with buddies but may need to be re-freshed. Tires in good shape. Separate honda outboard to travel with boat. Can load onto flatbed or pull on trailer if bearings ok. Will have to schedule pickup with owner of storage facility. I have not seen boat since February and presently live in Kansas. Ready to receive any time. Would prefer if mover insured.
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Hi, this is Will with TFC Specialized Services. I was rather encouraged to see your listing as we have a truck returning along your route empty as of present. I was wondering if you'd be interested in having us return your boat for you? We could pick it up on Monday if you're interested? Please let me know if there's anything I can do to earn your business. The truck has room to accommodate the motor as well. It will be arriving tomorrow! Blessings! (5/31/2008)
Response:
5/31/08 Will: I certainly would be interested. I will need to give a call to the owner of the storage facility to determine his availability to release the boat. The other complication is that I am leaving town Wednesday morning. So my questions would be: 1. When might it be delivered? 2. Would you be able to offload it into the drydock area? 2. What price? Thanks Jeff (5/31/2008)
Response:
Hey there, the driver has no flatbed, but is very conscious of what it means to monitor the status of all wheel bearings and trailer condition. He will be in Aurora this afternoon. He wouldn't leave with your boat until 10pm MT (to avoid traffic complications) Otherwise if you couldn't get a hold of your storage facilitator until Monday he would leave as soon as he hooked up and was done with his inspection for safe delivery of your boat. I if you can make the boat available by tomorrow, I will do all I can to have it to you by tuesday morning at the latest! If this works for you, you could simply give the driver a certified check for $900 on tuesday morning first thing so as not to hinder your flight preparation. (6/1/2008)
Response:
I made some phone calls this morning to the storage facility. Unfortunately it is a private facility and therefore its use is by reservation. The individual responsible for releasing the boat is not available until June 9th (on vacation), ie I have no way of getting the boat to you on Monday. I appreciate the immediate offer. Might you have the opportunity to pick it up later in the month? Jeff (6/1/2008)
Response:
As of current, we will not be in the area until July agian, but thank you for the interest. It's odd they would not have someone on call for emergencies or something. I am assuming this is a locked facility. Some of the marinas we have worked with in the past and current have atleast one person that has a key and we photo document our pick up and departure to immeadiately ensure the correct property. No big deal I guess if it doesn't work out, just sounds like you're ready for it :) Have a great rest of your weekend! May the Lord bless you on his day today! (6/1/2008)
Response:
I agree. The storage facility is a large locked hanger near the Denver airport and not associated with any marina. The individual I purchased the boat from kept it there off-season to have it close to his home. Not the easiest situation to deal with. Have a great weekend. Jeff (6/1/2008)
Question:
I can TOW it on june 15th or sooner. Please review my profile and feedback. I'm also insured at no cost to you. COD Thanks walbert52 (6/1/2008)
Question:
I AM A KS BASED HAULER THAT MAY BE IN THE DENVER AREA IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. COULD THIS TIME FRAME WORK FOR ALL PARTIES INVOLVED? I WILL HAVE MY 24' FLATBED TRAILER WITH ME, SO WE WOULD NEED TO LOAD IT ONTO MY TRAILER. HOW DOES THAT SOUND? WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE BEARINGS OR TRAILER AT ALL. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK SO WE CAN WORK THIS OUT TO FIT YOUR SCHEDULE. THANKS--GTHAULING (6/1/2008)
Response:
My goal is to get the boat to KS by the end of June. My work schedule prevents me from helping to load the boat onto the flatbed. Not being certain how this works, what additional help would be required to upload and offload the boat. The boat is presently being held in a private storage hanger near the Denver airport. Thanks, Jeff (6/2/2008)
Response:
TO GET IT LOADED ONTO MY TRAILER WILL REQUIRE ANOTHER VEHICLE TO BACK IT ONTO MY TRAILER AND A LOADING DOCK AT BOTH ENDS TO MAKE THE LOADING SURFACE THE SAME HEIGHT AS MY TRAILER. IT TAKES SOME WORKING BUT I HAVE DONE IT BEFORE WITHOUT PROBLEMS. IF THIS IS NOT A POSSIBILITY, I COULD ALSO BE AVAILABLE TO PULL IT BACK TO KS AND DO THE MAINTANCE ON THE BEARINGS AND THE WHOLE TRAILER. I DO ALL THE MAINTANCE ON MY OWN RIGS SO THATS NO PROBLEM. WHAT DO YOU THINK? THANKS--GTHAULING (6/2/2008)
Response:
Unfortunately there is no loading dock or other means of lifting the boat onto the flatbed. I suspect it will have to be trailered. Two questions: 1. Do you carry insurance in case of damage to the boat during transportation? 2. What is your charge for the transport? Thanks Jeff (6/2/2008)
Response:
AS LONG AS I AM TOWING IT, IT WILL BE INSURED WITH MY TRUCK POLICY. AS FAR AS CHARGE, THAT WILL DEPEND ON HOW WE DECIDE TO GET IT TO YOU. TOWING IT OR ON MY TRAILER. I LIVE IN ABILENE KS AND COULD HOLD THE BOAT AT MY HOUSE UNTIL WE CAN WORK OUT THE DELIVERY THAT WILL FIT YOUR SCHEDULE. HOW DOES THAT SOUND? THANKS--GTHAULING (6/3/2008)
Question:
I can TOW it on the 12th ---15th of June. Please review my profile and feedback. I'm also insured at no cost to you. COD Thanks walbert52 (6/2/2008)
Question:
Please let me know if that will work for you asap. Thanks walbert52 (6/2/2008)
Question:
Well I have to get some sleep now, I hope you accept my bid Thanks walbert52 (6/2/2008)
Response:
I accept your bid if we can arrange dates / times for pick up at the storage facility and subsequent delivery that will work for the storage facility owner (I just need to schedule it with him) and myself. It would be most convenient for me to receive the boat in Kansas on June 12th or the 18th as I am off work on those dates. After 7 pm on most other days will also work but still a little more difficult for me to get free. I can be reached by phone [phone number removed] on Tuesday but will be out of town from June 4-9th. Thanks, Jeff (6/2/2008)
Response:
I'll be delivering a sail boat to Loveland on the 11th or 12th from PA, then I can pick up yours after it's hard to say a exact hour that be be but I will do my best to get in time. My feedback shows I care about my clients. The only way we can talk on the phone is to accept my bid and uship will release our contact info. Thanks walbert52 (6/3/2008)
Question:
I am delivering a boat to Denver this weekend, could make p/u then. I am located in Lawrence, so could store it at my warehouse until your ready to put it in Clinton Lake. Let me know. Larry (6/3/2008)
Response:
Unfortunately the boat is being held in a private storage hanger. I need to give a week's notice to have the hanger's owner release it. Thanks Jeff (6/3/2008)
