Response: Yes it is going to Grande Prairie, Alberta. I would definitely be interested in what you could offer. I also have a 1987 suzuki samurai to be picked up from the same location and goig to the same place. I was wondering if the jeep could be transported in my trailer, it has d-rings to tie down and is only about 2000 lbs.

Response: Thank you for the quick response. Much appreciated. OK... on the trailer is there anything in it or is empty??? If empty them we could put the car into the trailer. If you purchased this trailer and/or car we need to do a couple things to get it across the border. First the car- need to submit paperwork to US Customs/Border for the vehcile to be cleared. This is a 72 hour advance notice- The title has to get stamped for Exporting by US Customs. For the trailer- Nothing is needed on the US side. For both the trailer and vehicle I will need to have the Original Titles & Bill of Sales for both. There will be RIV & GST fees that need to be paid at the border. The RIV is $209 for each item and the GST is 6% of the sale price on both items. It is also helpful for me to have a Letter of Authorization to import theses items on your behalf-Not necessary but saves a lot of time and headache. Please let me know if these were purchased or you already owned them and just shipping back to Canada. (7/25/2007)
Response: Yes I own both, just bought from a dealer. Trailer is now empty but I could have the people I bought from load and secure the suzuki. My zip code in Canada is T8V 1T3, Grande Prairie, Alberta. I will be receiving my titles in a few days I hope. I can have all paperwork you need. What would the cost be for delivery to my door? Response: I am having tech problems with my mapping software. Is Grand Prairie located by Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, etc. I just delivered a boat on Sunday in Calgary so just trying to get a good idea on location. Also could you please inform me of the purchase price of both these items. Need to get an idea on the money I would need to bring to pay the GST tax. It is best that I load the vehicle in the trailer for liability reason. I also have to check the vehicle to make sure it doesn't leak (gas mainly) and make sure there is not "illegal" items in the vehicle (Guns,drugs,etc) for my own safety. Response: OK. Trip is about 2800 miles. About 700 of it is in Canada. Also to give you some info we aren't allowed to transport items into the states from Candada so I have to figure in cost of a dry run back to the border. I would be able to transport both these items for $4900.00. That works out to about $1.75 loaded mile. I will also pay the GST and RIV fee's and you can just reimburse me on the cost upon delivery. Granted you can get it shipped to the border for cheaper but then you have to make the roundtrip drive. Usually it is cheaper for us to deliver to you because you aren't wasting 20+ hours of your own time. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank You. (7/25/2007)

Response: OK. This is 2300 mile trip. Our cost would be $1.45 mile. I could however knock it down to 3,000.00. Please keep in mind we are a Legal carrier with authority to ship your items across state lines along with being a fully insured company. This is what our price reflects. It may not be the cheapest bid but everything is done correctly from the insurance to weight stations, to port of entries, etc. Thank You. (7/25/2007)

Question: Hello Shipper, if you can let me know today I could pick up your trailer Tomorrow and deliver in Four to five for $2000.00 total cost to you and this includes $750K liability and $100K cargo insurance. We are DOT and MC certified, and we transport with a 06 Dodge dually one ton flatbed truck. If you choose to use our services my insurance company will fax you a certificate with your name on it in case of accident or damage to your trailer of any kind. Response: OK. Also the bank draft may take some time to clear the sellers account. I along with previous customers have run into this problem before especially if you use TD Bank. I had to wait 3 weeks for one of the bank drafts to clear my bank. Best bet might be to do a stop payment and then complete a wire transfer. The wire takes only 24-48 hours to complete. Just a thought. However it works out I can probably still work it out as I have to go to Lethbridge and make one deliver and then go back to the states to get the other. I'll look for you updates.
