Questions for this shipment:

Question: i am going there the end of this month --do you want to ship some of it (2/11/2006)
Response: I only wish I could- it's just a little too early, however. Thanks for asking, though, we should be ready to ship as early as late April, but no sooner. (2/11/2006)
Question: We can pack and ship via freight, but the car is gonna kill any good price we get. I'm getting a few quotes together, but wanted to ask: How important is the car? (2/11/2006)
Response: I am also trying to get some quotes together, looking into all different methods of shipment- bottom line, however, the car is important (it's all we have, and we can't afford a new one). I could probably figure out a shipment method myself for this. Possibly via barge. I am open to any useful quotes, and this would include quotes that do not involve the car shipment. Whatever is cheapest- if I have to do it via different companies, that's fine by me. (2/11/2006)
Question: 1500# (which is a little high, I think) and the furniture can be picked up, packed, shipped and delivered for just under $2500. Remember, it will probably be cheaper depending on actual weight. You can save money (couple hundrede each end) if you can deliver to my warehouse north of Everett and/or if you can pick up in Anchorage. The car? I'd be $2560 for that alone. OUCH! Lemme look some more. Do you want a formal bid on the items? (2/13/2006)
Response: A formal bid would be good, and as to delivering to Everett and picking up in Anchorage, this can be arranged! I may need to break up the shipment of the car and furniture to find the best deal- so please do continue looking for something better, but feel free to not include the car info in your bid- I am flexible in finding a different arrangement.... do you know anything about barge shipping for vehicles? (2/13/2006)
Question: I will be heading up to anchorage on the 27th of this month (2/14/2006)
Response: Too soon- pretty much everything we are moving is stuff we need for immediate use- kitchen ware, clothes and beds. Thanks though, keep in touch if you are heading up in May. (2/14/2006)
Question: Hey there, me again. I have a bid in for your household goods. I can't touch the car for less than $2400. Sorry 'bout that. My bid for your household is good, though, so accept the bid from "packandshipro" if you want to split it out. (2/14/2006)
Response: Awesome bid- I am going to wait a bit to see if I hear back from anyone else, but based on what I have found on my own over the internet, that is considerably better than what it would cost through any company I could get ahold of. I will keep in contact with you- thank you for the speed in your reply and further for the bid! (2/14/2006)
Question: Can the car be towed or driven? (2/22/2006)
Response: it's a 1995 Nissan Altima with 120,000 miles on it, in pretty good shape, but due to the age and mileage, it's going to have to be shipped- I have driven the AlCan roughly 7 times, and with this car, it's just not worth the risk. (2/22/2006)
Question: I am interested in doing this job for you but I have a few details to iron out before I give you an estimate in a couple days. It would all be shipped in an enclosed cube truck. I could be there about May 20 to load everything including the car. Would this date work out with your schedule? Thanks! Ben (2/24/2006)
Response: I would love an estimate- however, my husband and I must stick to the day of the fifteenth, or up to several days prior as our lease ends May 15th, and we have already purchased airline tickets to AK. If you are able to work around this schedule, we would love your input! (2/24/2006)
