Questions for this shipment:

Question: I just dropped the price , I hope it is acceptable, Thanks, Chris (1/1/2008)
Response: Hi Chris. You sound like a good company to deal with, but I am on a very tight budget. I did some research and found a half dozen comparable boats that have been transported similar distances in the last 12 months for an average cost of between $1300 and $1500. I know things fluctuate somewhat and there are of course variables, but I needed to stay as close to that level of expense as possible. I am extemely flexible on time, in fact it would be best if the boat were transported more toward March or April. I am open to suggestions and would value your input. Thanks! Greg. (1/3/2008)
Response: I undertand, I can authorize 1800..I will re-bid. I hope this helps your budget. thank, Chris (1/4/2008)
Question: i work out o jackson,ms if u can borrow a trailer i'll pick up the trailer, go get your boat & bring it back to u for 2450. if interested let me know & i'll bid. thanks (1/1/2008)
Response: The trailer issue would be a problem, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks. (1/3/2008)
Response: thanks & good luck with your shipment !!! (1/3/2008)
Question: How do we get the boat off my trailer at you destination????? (1/2/2008)
Response: Hi yachtdetails. That is an issue. The delivery location is a farm, so there is no crane or lift on site. I was hopeing for some suggestions from potential shippers. Some have indicated that their trailers have a self-unloading capability. Depending on overall cost I suppose it could be arranged to have a crane on site, but the timing and logistics might be tricky. I am open to suggestions and proposals. Thanks. (1/3/2008)
Response: Hi, Too answer your question, I would say the crane is the way to go. Logistics can be worked out so transport and crane or a picker truck (truck used to set roof building trusses) are at you location at same time. Any one who hauls boats for a living has worked with this situation at least a few times.. Please stay on touch so we can get serious when your ready for the move. SLSites (Yacht Details LLC) (1/4/2008)
Question: What year is your boat?? thanks Nick (1/3/2008)
Response: Nick, The boat is a 1984 Cape Dory 28 full-keel sailboat. Greg. (1/6/2008)
Question: Hello shipper one of my semi tractors has a crane on the back of it right before the fith wheel just for this reason.I can drop the trailer pull the tractor next to it and lift your boat off.For moves like this is why i have this equipment it is why i am in the business, i would never ask a customer to hire a crane i provide and do it all.Let me know if you would like a quote.Thank You (1/6/2008)
Question: I have a hydraulic trailer that is self loading and unloading, no need for a travel lift or crane. I can place the boat almost anywhere as long as you have stands and blocks. I will deliver the boat for $3275. Let me know if you are interested and I will place a formal bid. Thanks (1/7/2008)
Question: Hi Shipper, Never did hear back from you, Let me know what your thinking, We can get this fairly quick or can be flexible for a later date if need be. Let me know, Thanks, Chris (1/9/2008)
Response: Hi Chris. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I think this will work for me. I am going to accept your offer as soon as I send this. I think the later shipping date would be best due to the fact that the boat is not winterized and could be damaged by taking it north this time of year. Also, I am still in the process of purchasing this boat and need to finish the arrangements on the Alabama end. I will talk to you soon to work out the details. Thanks. Greg. (1/9/2008)
