Questions for this shipment:

Question: I have a hydraulic trailer with airride that is self loading and unloading. I can unload on blocks and stands without the need for or extra cost of a crane or travel lift. I cannot unload into a cradle just stands and blocks. Thanks (4/15/2008)
Response: The cradle is only 5'8" wide and has been used with a small hydraulic trailer before without problem, although I could provide jack stands, etc. if necessary. Let me know what you think. Thanks. (4/15/2008)
Response: I would have to have stands. The cradle would be to wide for the center of my trailer. Thanks, Smithsboatsalvage (4/15/2008)
Response: I'm sorry, I did not realise that you had already made a bid! I need to have this boat picked up before June 1st. Would this time-frame fit your schedule? (4/18/2008)
Response: I will be busy for the next two weeks but anytime after that I can schedule you in. Accept the bid and we can exchange #'s and set up a rock solid date. Thanks, Bo (4/19/2008)
Question: Hello. Can you make any arrangements to off load from a full size (53' boat transport) trailer ?? If so, I will place a bid.. (4/19/2008)
Response: Yes, it is possible to for me to hire a crane to unload, although it would be quite expensive,($550 to $650). Please bid based on the best you could do, as I would have to figure that cost into it and I am on a budget. Thanks! (4/20/2008)
Response: I can't pick-up until the 1st part of May, have other loads booked. I will give you the best bid that I can. (4/20/2008)
Question: What will your budget allow??? (4/20/2008)
Response: I needed to keep our total expense for moving the boat to no more than $2500. We had previously contracted a mover from uship to haul our boat, but he ran off with our 50% down payment so we have been left in a bind financially. Being forced to keep the boat in Alabama for a longer time has also caused additional significant expenses. Can you do any better on your bid, and can you arrange pick up before June 1st? Although please do not make any promises unless you are sure they can be met. Thank You very much for your interest. (4/20/2008)
Response: Sorry to here that you have been taken by a dishonest trucker. We in the business know that they are out there. It's a shame they make the distrust in others. Please check our profile, and you will see we have all positive feed back, we have no cancellations, and only get paid at time of delivery (except for very small deposit, which you send direct to uship) As I had indicated, we would pick-up 1st part of May. I hope that you would feel confident of our transportation ability after reviewing our profile. To view the profile, just click on our name. Regards, SLS (4/20/2008)
Question: I off loaded a 33 ft Crist Craft in the customer's back yard, and the crane company charged $300.00, spreader bars and all. The price that you have been given seems quite high. (4/20/2008)
Response: We only have one crane operator in this area who is equipped for boats and he has a 4 hour minimum at $115/hour + $85 to $170 for the spreader bar and slings. As you can imagine, that puts a bit of a handicap on my options. (4/20/2008)
Response: I just can't come down with my rate, I would be losing money and would cost me in the end. Remember your boat is over width (Wide Load) A lot of places use what I call a "Picker Truck" for boats that are the size of yours or smaller. These are trucks with crane mounted on the bed, used to set truses in the building industry. Maybe you can find a company with one of them, You are close to Erie, right? They cost less than regular cranes. How about off loading at the nearest marina? Just trying to help, Regards, SLS (4/20/2008)
Response: I understand and appreciate your help. Tomorow I will follow up on a couple ideas for unloading alternatives and if anything works out I will let you know. Thanks again. (4/20/2008)
Question: A Hydraulic trailer needs no crane. (4/20/2008)
Response: Thank You smithsboatsalvage. If I accept your bid, when would you be able to pick up the boat? (4/21/2008)
Response: I can pick it up on the 5th around 9 am , or on the 12th around 9 am. The 12th would be better on me but you make the call. Thanks, smithsboatsalvage (4/22/2008)
