Question: are you sure about the heigth? what are your pay terms? (10/21/2009)
Response: I have based the height estimate on this model's listing on the ritchiespecs.com website. 3.37 m or 11' 1" seems right to me though. I will pay either cash or certified cheque upon delivery, as you prefer. (10/21/2009)
Response: can we let the air out of the tires to get it on a stepdeck? can you wire the funds to me upon delivery? (10/21/2009)
Response: Sounds like it's getting to be a pretty tight fit. It's possible to let them down a few inches if it's close, but height measurement is an estimate. Funds can be wired if you prefer. I will require the driver to get a customs document stamped at US Customs, then take it to Canada Customs for payment of GST. (about $500) Is this acceptable? (10/21/2009)
Response: i do not understand. i have money wired from canada on a weekly basis to me and have never been charged anything. what are you talking about with the 500 bucks? (10/21/2009)
Response: Sorry for the misunderstanding. The $500 is what Canada Customs charges me in sales tax to bring the machine into the country. (5% on $10,000) It gets charged at the time the truck crosses into Canada and therefore has to be paid by the truck driver. It can then be included on your invoice to me. There is no cost to you. Response: to my understanding, they do not accept cash at the border. that has to be paid before the product gets there by credit card i think. (10/21/2009)
Question: you need your customs agent to do that stuff , my friend. It has to be cleared by Canada customs and have 72 hrs notice to US customs for export of any machinery (10/22/2009)
