Question: hi there. good to hear back from you. right now i drive cars for a local car dealership. local and cross country. so far i have never driven to canada. so as long as the car is in good running condition, the registration is current, and is insured i would have no problem doing this. my fee is simple. look up the distance on mapquest or yahoo, and i charge 17 and hour. i would ask that you pay for the gas extra. if this sounds good, let me know. thanks (8/22/2005)
Response: Thanks for your response. Your charge of $17/hour, is that per hour of driving time? Are you based in New Orleans? How would you plan to get back to New Orleans? Do you have a passport? What about other "out-of-pocket" expenses such as food and hotel rooms? Would you expect to be reimbursed for these costs as well? - I look forward to your responses. (8/22/2005)
Question: yes my fee would be just the hours driven in the car. i work for the airlines so flying to and from is no problem. also i would take the hotels out of my fee, but the gas i would expect you to pay. either we can get a bank atm card with a pre paid amount on it or we can work it out another way. thanks tim (8/23/2005)

I would still be interested in moving your vehicle even if we have to delay a week due to the hurricane. I would also be interested in moving both of your vehicles "back to back" trips for the bid of $935.00 for each vehicle if you are interested. Response: OK - let's say this is a done deal. Although, until I get back to New Orleans I won't know what shape the cars are in, although both are inside garages. Are you sure that you can get the cars into Canada? Another bidder wanted to drop them off in Washington. I'd prefer to pay slightly more, but get them delivered to my house in Vancouver. What are your terms on the $935 - I pay for gas and any out-of-pocket car expenses, you pay for meals and accomodation en-route, plus any non-drving travel costs? Please let me know. Question: According to my research on getting the cars into Canada, I will need a letter from you stating that I am driving your car into Canada for you. You will need the necassary insurance coverage for Canada on the vehicle and I will have to have the insurance card in the vehicle with me. The terms are as you stated: My terms on the $935 - you pay for gas and any out-of-pocket car expenses, I, Judy, pay for meals and accomodation en-route, plus any non-drving travel costs.
