Response: Hi again. I see the car has about 5 hours before it closes. I fully understand you needing a cost figure to get it home and that's the smart way to do it. I'd estimate the cost to be $1850 to Sweetgrass and that'll include u-Ship fees. It's a bit more than I usually charge but Sweetgrass and the border is a bit off the beaten path and with no prospects for a backhaul it's a bit more expensive to go up there. I can arrange to put it in a storage unit up there and you can then pick it up at your leisure or I can meet you if we can coordinate a time depending on weather of course. Response: Thanks for contacting me again. I may consider your price of $1500 if we can wait for better weather. And your car won't be hauled on a multi-car hauler (I'd hate to see oil all over the convertible top). At any rate, right now I'll be headed to Florida and then to San Fransisco and back to eastern PA. I had a window of time where I could have taken this for you but have now committed to others for transport and can no longer do this right now. Response: I have purchased vehicle. I have some time before I need to p/u unit. I will be getting all the papers taken care of and fees before I ship unit. If you would like to quote to Calgary,Alberta if cheaper that wud be great or quote both. Thks for your interest. Do you have Antique insurance for cars transported? Question: Hello. Interested in the shipment. Legal and insured carrier in US & Canada. I have a shipment going into Calgary & Edmonton. Would be able to accomadate yours at that time. It would be transported in a 40' enclosed trailer. Please let me know if interested. Also when would you have the paperwork ready to present to a a broker? Response: Hi Jeremiah I am waiting for my bill of sale and title from seller. I just won the bid on ebay and with the holidays I haven't been able to get a lot done. He has it stored for me and is just redoing front brakes because they grab a bit,cylinders and shoes, I haven't contacted broker yet but was going to call Livingston Int'l tomorrow. If you know of anyone else I can give them a call also. How often do you haul up here? This is the first car I have brought up from the States. Please keep in touch and as soon as i get paperwork i will be shipping. Any idea of appoximate price before you do a bid or is that allowed on uship? Thanks for your time. (1/1/2008)
Response: I recommend HH Smith as a broker. They are located in Coutts, AB. [website removed] You would be looking around $1800.00 for transport. That would be enclosed trailer. Response: I am still waiting for papers from seller. As soon as i get them i will be doing up the customs papers. I have found it may be easier for me to go to Sweet Grass and p/u vehichle there and trailer it across border myself and to Drumheller. I am still waiting for an answer from one of the brokers though. The title, bill of sale and registration from Ohio is on routre via courier to me. Hope to recieve monday the 14th. Don't know if this will work for you or not . I have a couple other companies asking about shipment to, but need documentation to be able to get it across. And as you know it has to be at the border 72 hours before the vehichle.I will probably be accepting or declining bids next week i hope so if you like you can place a bid to Sweet Grass and another to Drumheller. I have another bid at that and since your replies of interest were first i would like to give you first chance at the shipment. My paperwork shud be all in place next week so that would make after the 20th date work for you hopefully. Also with bid can you give an approx p/u date. I can't bring shipment across border except beteen 8-3:30 Mon-Fri but i guess you already know that since you are checking on other shipments you are bringing up.We can make connections at the border and offload and i will load onto my car trailer and bring across. Response: If you can give me til tomorrow to figure out which date it can be shipped and see our what our load board looks like I can probably match that price. Is the other hauler hauling in an open or enclosed trailer. Keep in mind we would transport with an enclosed trailer. Also I don't know when we would make the delivery. You should be able to cross border at anytime unless you need to pick up paperwork from the broker. You don't need a broker though if you are taking it across yourself. If for some reason we get there on a weekend or after 3:30 pm we can drop vehicle at the Glocca Mora Hotel. They have a storage facility where I have dropped many shipments. They charge $3 a day.
