Question: I will be in Mentone, Alabama around November 14th. My next stop is in Monticello, Indiana. I will have an available box stall and can deliver your horse, on a direct transport to Hebron. Will this date and theses services and date work for you?
Ray Crawford @ JDC Farms (10/23/2009)

Response: ray, that pickup date would be fine (11/14). what will the delivery date be (approx)? also, i do not have a problem at all meeting you in monticello to pick her up, if that would make it easier for your travel. let me know the shipping bid as well. thanks, alicia (10/23/2009)

Response: Alicia, I'm putting the final touches on the trip and waiting for responses from customers. I would like to leave at first light and drive direct to Indiana, the same day. I should be able to complete the transport for $350.00, door to door. (10/23/2009)

Response: hi, i would be interested in using your shipping service if possible. please keep me posted as to the final details, etc. i would need to know by nov. 6th ish, as i plan to make the trip myself that weekend if nothing is scheduled. thanks, alicia (10/24/2009)

Response: Hello Again Alicia, We've got the schedule in place and have dates and times to pass onto you. We could pick-up Boonnie on November 13th, between 09:00am and 10:00am. After pick, drive to Indianapolis area, arriving between 5:00pm and 6:00pm (Friday Peak Commute Time), unload, and layover at a Horse Hotel. Load-up the morning of November 14th and be in Hebron before 9:00am? Same Price, Same Services. Waiting your response, Ray Crawford w/ JDC Farms. (10/24/2009)

Response: hi ray, i think that would be alright. i was a little concerned about the layover, as she is a 25 yr old mare. i just want to make sure she is not "traveling" for too long. if you can assure me of that i am ok. i think we should proceed with the plans. or i could come pick her up in the indy area that evening. let me know. thanks, alicia (10/25/2009)

Response: Good Morning Alicia, your concerns are the same as mine. When I map out long transports, it's the horses welfare and location of quality horse hotels, in that order, that establish my route. I predict, I will be approaching the Indy area at commute time. I figured it would be easier on my horses and Bonnie to just stop, unload, and bed down for the night. The following morning, reload up, and take the smooth drive up to Hebron?
Your second concern and question I also agreee with. I predict, to get from Valley Head to the Indianapolis area, Boonie will be on the road and in the trailer, for about 7 hours. If we unload for the night, she can have about 8-12 hours of rest. The next morning, it should take about 2 hours to finish the trip, into Hebron. I believe she should arrive in good shape, with little fatigue.
It's your horse and it's your call, if you want to make the 250 mile round trip and continue onto Hebron.
Thanks Again,
Ray Crawford @ JDC Farms (10/25/2009)

Question: Hello, this is DJ (allidtrades497) Will this horse be ready for transport Nov 1 or 2, thank you for your consideration, DJ (alliedtrades497) (10/25/2009)

Response: unfortunately not (coggins, health papers, etc). thanks, alicia (10/25/2009)

Response: Thank you for your time, DJ (alliedtrades497) (10/26/2009)

Question: Hello Alicia, any more developments on transporting Boonie? Ray @ JDC Farms (10/28/2009)

Response: hi ray, none. hopefully we are still on. please keep me posted should anything change. thanks, alicia (10/28/2009)

Response: Good morning Alicia, would you like me to submit a formal bid, followed by acceptance? The reason I would like to secure this transport, is because I only have one box stall available, and I am being requested to submit a bid for another horse from Alabama, up north. You are my first priority, Ray @ JDC Farms (10/28/2009)

Response: sounds good. book me at the $350, departing valley head, ala. (nov. 13) arriving hebron, ind. (nov. 14). thanks, alicia (10/28/2009)

Response: I submitted the $350.00 bid, now you are required to accept said bid. Thank-You, Ray w/ JDC Farms (10/28/2009)

Response: i am aware of the $16 fee i am to pay upon accepted bid, but what is the $52 uship fee you have added to the bid you have submitted? (10/28/2009)

Response: (10/28/2009)

Response: all previous bids i received must have included the fee you see ($52). i see a fee on my end ($16) as the bidder. i suspect its similar to paypal (seller/shipper pays fee for service). i as buyer/receiver pay a different fee. i'm assuming you have paid that fee with previous shipping, so you must have included it in the bid. unfortunately i was led to believe bid was $350. so i declined bid of $402. (10/28/2009)

Response: You may be right, I'm not aware of PayPal Fees. Here her are some example fees, for this transport: [content removed - To avoid confusion on the part of the customer, TSP’s may not mention “uShip fees/commission”, or similar language in their Q&A and bids must be all inclusive. -uShip] Maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle? Ray @ JDC Farms. (10/28/2009)

Question: Excuse me for butting in here, but I have seen several shippers post a bid and say "and you pay uship fees"; I had understood that shippers are to take the fee into consideration when making a bid and are not to require any payment above the bid. What I read said that the deposit required when accepting a bid was put in the shipper's account to offset the fees that would be charged to the shipper's account. Am I misunderstanding how this whole thing works? Thanks! (10/28/2009)

Response: I thought so as well....so upon initial bids I was led to believe a bid included all of the transporters fees (less elective insurance). I think that is how it is "supposed" to be. I am aware of my "auction service" fee added to the bid. Thanks for the insight to this matter. (10/28/2009)
