Question: Hi! I can load this on Dec. 1st or 2nd and deliver on Dec. 3rd during the day. I can palletize/shrink wrap them or move them by dolly. I have a lift gate and pallet jacks with an air-ride truck. I can do this for $1106. I accept cash, cashier's check or money order only. Are there any stairs involved? Will they be going to a residence or a business with a dock? Let me know, Thanks Todd (11/26/2007)

Response: Hi Todd. Thanks for your bid. To answer your questions:
1. No there will not be any stairs involved in this shipment. Currently, the boxes are stored at a residence in the garage with easy access to the street.
2. The shipment will be going to a business but there will be no unloading dock. I would imagine the destination has the same needs as the pick-up location (i.e. no fork lift, loading dock, etc.).
Your bid and dates sound very appealing and if we can work out the details I would be excited to use your services.

Response: Rochelle, thank you for the response. Couple more questions for you. Are all the boxes the same size? Are they book boxes or banker boxes? Would the boxes be left on the pallets at destination or will they need to be brought inside? How far would it be at destination, from where the truck would park to where the boxes need to go? Just like to make sure of the details before submittting my bid. I would definitely load on Sat. Dec. 1st. I will wait to hear back from you. Thanks Todd (11/27/2007)

Response: Hi Todd,
I just spoke with my contact at the destination point and she says that the drop off will be a garage that you can pull up to. The detail that will need to be worked out is having you call then in order to ensure someone can meet you at the garage. Hopefully these terms are agreeable and we can go ahead with this shipment. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Response: Rochelle, just need to know if all the boxes are the same size? Are they book boxes or banker boxes? Will the customer at destination need the boxes off of the pallets or can I leave them on the pallets. Delivery will be on Dec. 3rd around 12pm. I can call when I'am about 2 hrs away. Just want to make sure I can deliver during the day. There are exactly 128 boxes? Just need to know all of this so I can bring enough pallets and make sure I know what I'am up against. Thank you for your patience, Todd (11/28/2007)

Response: Hi Todd,
I thought I had sent a reply about the boxes and their sizes but I must have spaced it.
Yes, all of the boxes are the same size and they are book boxes not banker boxes. Fortunately, they are all boxes that have never been opened they they are all in good condition and easy to move. Additionally, all 128 boxes are stacked and located in one central area making for easy loading. I believe you can leave the boxes on the pallets when you arrive at the destination point. There shouldn't be a problem delivering during the day- a two-hour heads up would be great!
Let me know if there is anything else I can clarify for you.

Response: Rochelle, That sounds good. I will go ahead and submit my bid. Just two things before you accept my bid. I just want to make sure that I can deliver during the day on Dec. 3rd( I'am on a real tight schedule) and that I only accept cash, cashier's check or money order only. I know you said yes to both but just wanted to double check with you again. I look forward to working for you. Todd (11/29/2007)

Response: Great. Yes to both of your questions. You can deliver during the day on Monday the 3rd (just give the company a quick call) and I will have the funds in cash on the day of pick-up.
I spoke with the company today and they just have two final questions. First, if, for some unseen reason, one of the pallets falls of the truck and the contents are damaged is your company insured to cover the cost of the contents? Second, how large is your truck? Apparently, the road they are located on is small but UPS sized trucks don't have a problem getting through.
Thanks.

Response: Rochelle, I only provide .60 cents per lb insurance. That doesn't equal very much. You can get extra insurance thru Uship if you like, you just have to get it before you accept my bid(I believe). I have never damaged anything I have moved here on Uship, that's why I take great pride in my feedback. My truck is 40' long(Little bit bigger then a U-haul). I have been to Berkley before and their roads are small but I have no problems going thru them. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Thanks Todd (11/29/2007)

Response: Good to hear. I will probably purchase some extra insurance just to be on the safe size. With that said, I will accept your bid today so that we can arrange pick up for tomorrow. Thanks.
