Question: Checking in here...I see you have stated that $800 is too much? My bid is for $850 as there really is not much coming or going from northern Maine. I live in the Bangor area and if you can be flexible with your schedule, I might be able to do a little better if I can find something else to offset the cost. Just curious, what did you have in mind for a price? I'm not going to play games with my bids, my price is generally the best I can do, but I will make every effort to re-evaluate if I can find another shipment to go with it. Response: OK, well here is the problem and I really understand if you are not aware of this. With fuel at 3.50, tolls, equipment upkeep, insurance premiums and other related expenses, not to mention the fact that the pickup location is not exactly a shipping hub, the bids you have received are pretty good. Someone willing to do this for less than $1.00/mile may not be a insured, legitimate, have good equipment etc. Whoever you decide to go with, please keep this in mind to protect yourself. Nobody can do this for free which seems to be a common misconception around here. Perhaps you should rent a Uhaul trailer and do this yourself. Good Luck (2/17/2008)

Response: Ok, as promised, I have an arrangement where I could use this as a back haul and will bid $620.00. I guess this is not the lowest bid, but you will not be disappointed with the service.
