Questions for this shipment:

Question: How will you pay for shipment? All up front, half at pickup/half at delivery, etc? (4/21/2005)
Question: Sorry, if I had read more carefully, I would have seen it. Are you willing to do half at pick up, and half at delivery? (4/21/2005)
Response: I suppose we could do something like that. I am actually at the destination and my father is at the origination. He would be able to pay the upfront part, and then I could pay when you arrive in AZ. Since this is my first time doing this, however, I need to somehow get a warm and fuzzy about this process. Do you have some people I can contact that have used you before? (4/21/2005)
Question: Hi, if you still need to ship the boat, I could bring it out to AZ within your timeframe. What kind of shape is the trailer in? Guessing 2 5/16" ball? Tow vehicle would be a Ford Excursion. Regards, Chris (4/22/2005)
Response: Hi Chris, Can you let me know if you got this? I don't think my answers to questions are getting back to the drivers. Thanks. Mike (4/22/2005)
Question: Is this shipment still availible if so I could tow end of May. Trailer of course would need to be legaly Registered and road worthy. Thanks, Glenn (4/24/2005)
Response: Glenn, the shipment is still available. The trailer is in excellent condition and the registration is current. My dad is giving me the boat so I know it is in good shape. Let me know if you're interested. Mike Glenn, did you get this? Not sure I am answering the questions correctly. (4/24/2005)
Question: helo my name is Bobby jo i can haul your boat for you iam leaveing for Chicago,il in a week from now hen am going to phoenix,az and i can take your bat to AZ for you please let me know be for thn thank you so much Bobby jo (4/24/2005)
Response: Hi Bobby Jo, The shipment is still available, although I have had several people express interest in it. Not sure of the process here. Do you need to bid on it? Thanks. Mike (4/24/2005)
Question: Mike, Would need to know if tires are in good shape and bearings have been inspected and greased the trailer would need to make a 1841.3+ mile trip you know what the weather will be like and the enviroment. This would be a dissaster should a $20 bearing fail. I will need to know the ball size this will be stamped on the trailer hitch it self. is the boat wood or fiberglass? Inboard motor w/out drive or Out Board Motor? 7500 lbs. sound heavy for a 21'er. My Bid for this $1680 this figures out to less than $0.915 per mile. Trailer brakes must work! A spare tire for trailer would be good to have. I could pick up June 6 @1-3pm delivery would be 6/8 9-11am (4/25/2005)
Response: The trailer is in excellent condition. The tires are literally brand new. The bearings haven't been packed recently, but the boat hasn't been used much since the last time they were packed. My parents pulled the boat from Atlanta to Indiana about a year ago and it was fine. The ball size is 2". It is a fiberglass boat with Inboard/Outboard. I did mistate the weight. It is only 3500 lbs. There are a couple of other drivers that are willing to do it for less and sooner. So let me know if you're willing to drop your bid. Thanks. Mike (4/25/2005)
Question: hello I will be back there first week of may and can take back for 1,500 let me know if time frame is ok Cliff (4/26/2005)
Response: Cliff, After refiguring the costs for gas, hotel, wear and tear, etc. I also came up with something around $1500. I think my actual figure including a 100% profit for you was $1350. That's assuming 15 mpg and 1850 miles. So I think we're in the same ballpark. I especially like the timeframe. There are a couple of other drivers that I am discussing this with, but I'll probably decide soon. Will let you know. Thanks. Mike (4/26/2005)
Question: Hi Mike, your message made it. ;-) I'm trying to find return trip items to lower your cost. Regards, Chris (4/26/2005)
Response: Chris, I like all the feedback you've got on your profile. If you're still interested in this shipment, let me know. I'd prefer if you did it, but there are a couple other drivers who are wanting my shipment. Thanks. (4/26/2005)
Question: hello,Ok I will be leaving here in calif tomarrow early morn I will be going to Nashville and then to kentucky so i will check my mess on the weekend,I am leaving there on mon or tues i am going back empty so I'll beat any bid.Let me know Cliff (4/26/2005)
Response: Sounds good, Cliff. Question for you: I talked to my mom this morning. They have retired and are looking to get rid of some of their furniture. Would you be able to haul some furniture as well? It would just be a small kitchen table and some chairs maybe a dresser or something. Let me know what you're driving. (4/26/2005)
Question: Hi, Does the trailer have working brakes?, electric or hydraulic? How far from pickup/drop-off location to major highway? thanks, john (4/26/2005)
Response: No, it doesn't have brakes. I initially listed the weight at 7500 lbs, but it is actually only 3500 (boat 2800, trailer 700). It's about 3-4 miles from I-69. Thanks. (4/26/2005)
Question: What is GVW rating of trailer? (4/27/2005)
Response: The boat weighs 2800 lbs and the trailer weighs 700. I don't know what the actual rating of the trailer is, but whatever it is, it is sufficient. The trailer and boat are in very good condition. (4/27/2005)
Question: I am not trying to give you a hard time but state laws do require Indiana For Trailers (Braking System Required) Required with breakaway over 3,000 lbs. and your state Required over 3,000 lbs. GVW on Trailer and registration may come in handy. chances are there may not be any problems but I would not want to take the chance. DOT can and will make it imposible if they wanted to. My Truck weighs in at over 7600 lbs. with no load. Some weigh stations are able with sencors in the road calculate to with in 100 lbs the GVW while you are driving. A out of state truck/car hauling another out of state Trailer. This is why all the questions. (4/27/2005)
Response: Gotcha. No problem, I don't know these things. I am surprised about the braking system requirements. I looked on the net and it appears that just about every state has a 3000lbs limit for braking systems. I guess that's for the trailer and the boat, not just the trailer? It's just a normal size ski boat with a normal size trailer. But I see your point with a truck and trailer not having the same tags. The registration is current, but according to my Dad, with the boat and trailer the weight is 3500lbs. I'll double check with him to make sure. Thanks. (4/27/2005)
Question: I Think I could do the shipment for 1250. Would give me chance to see My Mom, Sister & Son in Long Beach CA for a day or two. Early in the Second week of June. Thanks, Glenn (4/27/2005)
Question: Hello,Yes i am sure we can work that in I have a 2001 dodge diesel on ton and it has an 8' bed.I will take it all for a good price Let me know Cliff (4/27/2005)
Response: So do you need to bid on this so I can get your phone number, etc? You can decide how much for the additional items once you get there. Thanks. Mike (4/27/2005)
Question: Hi Mike, I won't be able to compete with the offers you are getting from Mactrans and LoadEmUp. Since they're headed back in any case, they can be much more competitive. I'd love to help out, but right now, offers are to the point where the trip doesn't make sense. Regards, Chris (4/28/2005)
Question: Chris dont giveup yet I am tryin to figure how to do right now and turn a small profit I live in New England and will be in KY on the 28 of may. Also tring to extend Vacation at work to acomplish. this and not make it a werlwind. Glenn (4/28/2005)
Question: Hello,I will be on the road tomarrow after 8am pacific time.or call me tonight I placed bid we will talk. Cliff [Removed Contact Information] (4/28/2005)
Question: hello mike, I am taking back an atv in back of pickup bed. if table and chairs will fit in either back of bed or inside boat, padded, then I will take shipment for 1200.00 plus uship fees which are 100.00. If this is acceptable, I will place bid for 1200.00 which you will pay the uship fees of 7.9 percent of 1200.oo equals 100.00 if acceptable, let me know asap, and I will place bid. (4/30/2005)
Response: Are you the same person as Macstrans? If so, that's a fair deal. Go ahead and bid that and I'll accept. (4/30/2005)
Question: Mike - Hey, I see contact info was exchanged. This is a violation of our UA, however I'll just ask that you please accept the bid that mactrans placed on the site. That way you are covered by our Shipper Protection Program and have the ability to leave feedback. Thanks. (4/30/2005)
Response: I didn't ask him to give me his phone number, and I didn't give him mine, so I declined it. (4/30/2005)
Question: I placed a bid of $1200.00 Please acceptthe bid. Please contact me on my cellphone I am on the road in Texas. (4/30/2005)
