Additional Information:
This boat is on it own Mastercraft 4-axle all braking trailer with a pintal hitch. It needs to go from Denver to Seattle. This is an express style, no sedan. 36', but has a 3' swim platform. It will be ready to go, canvas off, sat dome off, wrapped up, just hook up and head out. These are current pics of it going to the lake, NOT ready for transport. Trailer was just serviced and is ready to go. Please feel free to ask questions. I can also pass more work your way...I have a business that wants to know who I use so they can send all there transporting needs your way. They don't have a good option right now. Cash or Trade. **I may be willing to trade this boat trailer, $12,000 new, low miles, for the transport out to Seattle (you'll get it upon boat delivery) or I'll pay cash. Make me an offer!!!
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
This would be over wieght to what I can handle .Thanks for the invite. (9/25/2007)
Response:
Thank you. (9/28/2007)
Question:
It is over my weight limit as well. Thank you, Pacific Shore (9/25/2007)
Response:
Thank you! (9/28/2007)
Question:
What kind of hitch do you have on your trailor,Thanks Kenny (9/25/2007)
Response:
I think its called a pintal hitch. Make sense? (9/25/2007)
Question:
Sorry, but we can not do pintle hitches, only ball hitches. If this was a ball hitch, it would probaly cost about 3400.00-3700.00. Thanks for the request. Paul (9/28/2007)
Response:
No way to reconstruct it into a ball hitch, wish there was. Thanks anyway. (9/28/2007)
Question:
Thanks for the request but we do not carry wide load because permits escorts etc. Thanks again and good luck there are alot of good Carriers here that can do this. (9/28/2007)
Response:
ok.Thank you. (9/29/2007)
Question:
Thanks for the request but I am not in that area. (9/28/2007)
Response:
Thanks! (9/28/2007)
Question:
Thanks for the request but I do not have any routes to that area anytime soon. Yes it is a Pintal and anyone with experiance and the equipment needed to move this kind of weight would know, or assume that. This is also going to reuire multi state wide load permits, signage and escort service as well as route height planning. Sailing it there might be cheaper and more fun if at all possible lol! Good luck with your shipment...there are some TSP's on here that can better advise you and probably get done easily. (9/28/2007)
Response:
"this is also going to reuire multi state wide load permits, signage and escort service as well as route height planning." My understanding from others is that it needs a permit for over 8', but NOT a wide load permit because it is just at/under 13'. Also it is under the top height of 14'6", so road clearances shouldn't be a problem. Sailing it from Colorado to Seattle might be a problem...I would need a water way to do that. :) If I can find a person with the pintal hitch and teh proper truck, going in my direction, I know it can be done easily and with only a few permits. It had been previously driven on the roads in CO without any permits or breakdown (as you can see in my pic), it fits in the lane too. Not that I agree that was the thing to do, but it was done and even with everything on, it cleared lights and signs no problem. Thanks for your thoughts. (9/28/2007)
Response:
I may have phrased that "wide load"wrong. See I live in the regulation capital state of NY so here you have to have a permit for everything !$$%^*&! I believe height here is 13'6" so I was thinking in NY mode! Anything over 8'6" here needs "Oversize Load". (9/28/2007)
Response:
Well, good thing I'm not going east then! Thanks. (9/29/2007)
Question:
sorry cant haul that big of boat thanks for request (9/28/2007)
Response:
Thanks for writing back! (9/28/2007)
Question:
Thank you for the request but this is too large for us. I see that you do have a very reasonable bid for the weight. Good luck with your shipping. (9/28/2007)
Response:
Yes, but I can't seem to find an email to contact him again. Anyone know how to find an email or a way of contacting someone from the profile page? I can only read his profile, but no contact info. Thanks for writing back! (9/28/2007)
Response:
You click on his bid and talk to him there. Uship does not allow phone or direct contact until a bid is accepted, then they will give you that information. (9/28/2007)
Response:
But I missed the "accept" by an hour. So now it says expired and I can't see anything except his profile. And I can't find his name under service providers. I guess once the bid expires its gone? I wanted to ask him to rebid, but how? I can't find him to hit the request a bid button. Anything else you can help with? Thank you SO much. (9/28/2007)
Response:
Click on his name next to his bid, that will send you to his profile, from there you should be able to get his user name or company name and send him a bid request. (9/28/2007)
Response:
I have his user name and company name...but how do I send the request? Nothing on the profile page. Can't search providers by name. Where do I send the request? (9/28/2007)
Response:
On the top of the home page there is a yellow bar that says provider directory. Click on that and choose a category. You can set preferences to time as member since his profile shows recent sign up date. Then just keep going to the last page available until you reach the last page of that category. You will probably find him there. When you find him there is a place to click to send a bid request. Sounds complicated but it's really just time consuming. Good luck. (9/28/2007)
Response:
Thanks. Did that. No luck. Sure appreciate all your help though. Should be a way to email like on eBay. (9/28/2007)
Response:
Maybe you'll get lucky and he will realize his bid has expired and rebid on his own. (9/28/2007)
Question:
would love to do it but i have to b in columbia sc on the 8th. (9/28/2007)
Response:
What would your timing be if my dates were more flexible. Make a bid and mention dates. (9/28/2007)
Question:
I would do it for 3.00 mile but I'm tied up til mid of month (9/28/2007)
Response:
Could we come up with a solid number before you left? A "not to exceed" quote. This may work for me if we can. I see it as no more than 1400 miles....is this close on your radar? That puts us at $4200. Please respond or make a formal bid. Thanks. (9/29/2007)
Response:
Ok will bid with dates i be able to move it (9/29/2007)
Question:
will do late oct. early nov. for 1800.00 and trailer. (9/28/2007)
Response:
Would you be able to make a bid for that and mention your earliest date availble? Thanks. (9/29/2007)
Question:
It looks like a 3 axle trailer rather than a 4 axle, but anyway, I would be interested in transporting your boat as well as aquiring your trailer. I would need to load your boat onto our trailer, transport to Seatle and then come back through Denver and load your trailer onto ours to brimg home. Do you have facilities in Denver to pick boat up off of your trailer and set on ours? Thanks, Mike - Century Maritime. (9/29/2007)
Response:
The tree stump took part of the pic out. I can get you better pics today. I will check to see if I can arrange to have a crane p/u the boat. Can you tell me what you would be hauling on? And do you keep insurance? Could we do this within my preferred dates? Let me know these answers and I'll find out on my end about the crane. Thanks. (9/29/2007)
Response:
Look at our profile, centurymaritime. We would use one of the trailers pictured, most likely the blue tandem shown with a 40' meridian loaded backwards. By removing the side rails from your trailer we can use our equipment to move the boat from your trailer to ours. We can meet your time line. The charge for a turnkey to deliver would be $5000 and your trailer. The marina charges to unload would be your additional expense. Do I need to submit a bid? Thanks, Mike - Century Maritime. (9/29/2007)
Response:
So now you want to do $5,000 plus my trailer? I have others asking for the trailer only (which I thought you originally said) and less money plus trailer. if you would like to make a bid for the trailer plus a few expenses, I would consider that. But with the added headache of having to be on your trailer, etc., that is too high a price to pay. Thanks anyway though. Let me know if you want to change you bid to be a little more in line with the others. I do like your experience with boats. (9/29/2007)
Question:
Its is not over our weight but if its 13 ft wide its over width I would have to route it and check the cost on permits and what they require as far as flaggers. If you like I can do some checking ? risnson (9/29/2007)
Response:
My understanding from researching each state law personally, is that we have up to 13'w. So we would NOT need flaggers. The boat is exactly 12'6"...I added a few to be safe. We are UNDER the laws as I found. I will have for you both the boat and the trailer paperwork to verify and show width if needed. If you would like to research it for sure in please do. I want whoever takes it to feel secure in what they are hauling as totally legal with permits only. Please let me know your price....anything under $5,000 will get first considerations. And the closer to the first bid of $3,600 will most likely take it (for cash only. If the trailer is involved, that's different). Or we can trade the trailer (worth at least $6,000) if interested. Thanks. (9/29/2007)
Response:
I will check on al the permits we are cdl and insured , please becareful who you do bus. with Not just because I would like to have the bid but some prices are to cheap for what they are . I will make some phone calls then make a formal bid thanks for your quick response , If we do this I can pick up next wek by Tue or wed if that would work , risnson (9/29/2007)
Response:
Great, Please let me know. I want to make a decision and book tonight. please let me know by 5:00 if at all possible...or at least let me know something. I would very much like to hear your bid. Any chance you could pick it up closer to Sat and deliver on 10/11? Do you have any interest in the trailer? (9/29/2007)
Question:
if you take care of all permits and escorts we can move for fuel + 750 cash + your trailer let me know your thoughts and we will work with you on this (9/29/2007)
Response:
I can do the permits, but I don't know how. What do they run? We don't need a flagger. How much would you think in gas? It's <1400 miles. I would be more inclined to have an up front number with no added costs or expenses to incur. Can you come up with a number for me that would include everything? (9/29/2007)
Question:
This is both a wide load and overheight load. Our college from NY is correct, and although permits and escort laws are less stringent out west, this would have to be permitted in each state. Thank you for requesting a bid from me, however this size boat is larger than I want to mess with. (9/29/2007)
Response:
OK. I have others that don't mind the permits. Thanks for the consideration. (9/29/2007)
Question:
thanks for request boat to large for my rig. (9/29/2007)
Response:
thanks anyway. (9/29/2007)
Question:
Thanks for the bid request, but we are not in the area at this time. We are working the East coast for the annual North to South migration. We will monitor you shipment incase things change. Thanks Mercer Enterprises (9/29/2007)
Response:
Great, please do. (9/29/2007)
Question:
Man, I wish I was available in time I would like to have the trailer.I am booked into the end of Oct.tduncan55 (9/29/2007)
Response:
Maybe we can work out different dates. Can you tell me when you would be able to do it? Make a bid for like $1 and the trailer if you like. Then I can look at your dates and accept if it will work. It helps both of us out to do the trade. It is a really nice trailer, low miles and just serviced. Everything in top condition. This has been the only boat on it, ever. I also have all receipts, service records and paperwork for it. It was $12,000 new only 3 years ago. I can count on both hands the number of trips its ever taken. Let me know!! (9/29/2007)
Response:
Tell you what,If you can wait until after I get back to Maine and return to Ca again I will head out to Co and do it for the trailer. What is the exact height of the boat only?I might want to seperate the two and carry both so I can load out again from Seatle.Or I may leave trailer somewhere to p/u later. If the height of just the boat is 12'8" or so it will be no problem.I happen to be in need of such a trailer to set my son up with a one ton operation.tduncan55 (9/29/2007)
Response:
The height of the boat is 12'7" from keel to top of spoiler per owner's manual. However, this boat is being taken to a boat yard and taken off the trailer the minute it arrives. You can leave with the trailer then. I'd prefer it not being seperated. What do you think? Happy to help your son out! It works for both of us. Please let me know about the dates. When will you know about next week? (9/29/2007)
Question:
Thank you for the bid request. We'd love to accommodate you but unfortunately we are not currently equipped for that large of a load. Thanks again. RoyerTransport (9/29/2007)
Response:
thanks anyway. (9/29/2007)
Question:
I am also looking now for something from Wa back east,if I land something I may dh to Co do it and then load ne asap from there. If I can put it together I will have to really make some tracts to do it within an week from now.otherwise it looks like the end of Oct would be the earliest.tduncan55 (9/29/2007)
Question:
I have the correct truck 24,500 combined GVW..brand spankin new F450 twin turbo diesel and pintle. I need the trailer and $1 buck a mile $1354 cash on delivery. You cover fees permits are available online. request a formal bid now. (9/29/2007)
Question:
Thanks for your bid request however we do not ship boats on their own trailers. Allison-Lockview. (9/29/2007)
Response:
ok, thanks. (9/29/2007)
Question:
Hi risnson back to ya ,'trying to check on the permits they are not open till first thing Monday But I would like to do bus. if you can wait till I get the prices . I want to make sure when we quote dont want to change prices and if we make a bid then its binding for both of us ., You said it weighs 18500? is that correct and is that loaded on trailer weight I think we can work all this out to both of our satisfaction We will also communicate with you reg. to keep you up on status and location . (9/29/2007)
Response:
I appreciate it. I think I am going to accept another bid though for now. I feel a need to have my carrier have insurance. Thanks so much though. I'll keep you in mind in the future. (9/29/2007)
Response:
Just checking this response to risnson we have been talking was making sure you are not confusing us with another quote we are cdl licensd , insured .proffesional transporters for over 14 years , Tammy (9/29/2007)
Response:
I thought I saw no insurance listed on your sight. I accepted a bid for the trailer only. If this is of any interest to you, please let know, otherwise I have to go that route for now. Thanks so much. (9/30/2007)
Question:
thanks for the request but I dont thinnk my 1ton will do it! (9/29/2007)
Response:
Ok. I know the guy that had it pulled it with his diesel Allison transmission 1 ton. Just thought I would ask. (9/29/2007)
Response:
I know I could do it but the area it's gotta go through is too political "they're more interested in the $they can squeeze outa you than your equipments safe shape"(dot/cop wise)which is the main reason i stepped out of the big rigs.As well as the steady climb and this time of the year.THANKS AGAIN THOUGH. (9/29/2007)
Response:
Interesting. Ok. Well thanks. (9/29/2007)
