Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello! I can get this done for you around the end of the month for $2,100 insurance available. Thanks! Glenn (4/8/2006)
Response: "Hi Glen. What is your availibility within the next two weeks? Specifically between the dates of April 21 through the 24th. I have asked this question of two others who have not responded. Not good. Thank You, Jim (4/8/2006)
Question: Good morning Jim! If the boat is insured already, you can add me to your insurance.Cargo insurance is available at a rate of $95.00 for $10,000 worth of coverage which will cover it during transit.I would be towing it behind my 05 chevy heady duty. Please click on my username for profile, piture of equipment and feedback. Thanks! Glenn (4/8/2006)
Response: Okay Glen. Thank you for such a timely and fully explained reply. If I get the boat, I will certainly consider your proposal. Thank You, Jim (4/8/2006)
Question: Hey Jim! The boat in the picture weighs 7,800lbs.My truck is rated for 10,100lbs.Thanks! Glenn (4/8/2006)
Response: Glen, I am glad you know the weight. As you can see if you look at my request for a quote, I clearly stated that i did not know the numbers associated with the weight, lengte etc. Are you still interested in the job for the price quoted? Thank you, Jim (4/8/2006)
Question: Hey Jim! The weight I'm talking about is the weight of the boat in the picture of my profile.I was telling you about that to show that my truck is more than capable of towing your boat.I may be wrong, but I don't think your boat weighs 6500,if it does no problem.I am interested in this shipment, even if it does weigh stated weight. Thanks! Glenn (4/8/2006)
Response: Whew! Thank goodness! I didn't think the boat was that heavy. Okay, we are still on course. I will let you know as soon as I know. Thank You, Jim (4/8/2006)
Question: Have you purchased your boat ? (4/8/2006)
Response: Hello. No, I have not purchased the boat yet. One of the things that will determine wether or not I purchase it is, the cost to transport it from there to here. Thank You, Jim (4/8/2006)
Question: Thank you for the reply Jim. Boat shipping with me is $ 1.00 per mile + ins just as Glenn posted. There are carriers cheaper but not better. Just pulled a boat from Vegas yo Key West FL. then another from NC. to Wa. 8000 miles. total (4/8/2006)
Response: Thank you. Insurance keeps popping up. So, I feel this is something I really need to understand BEFORE shipping. Now, the boat will be insured when it is picked up for transport. In your opinion, is that enough or should I, in your experience, buy the additional insurance that Glen mentioned? Thank You, Jim (4/8/2006)
Question: I offer it since a lot of commercial freight I move ( machinery, fencing, antique tractors ) is normally something shipper has not insured him self. I would imagine your boat, if you purchase, you would insure as I have my boat insured. The two boats I mentioned did not want ins. The bigest problem with boats I have transported is the seller tells the buyer the tires are like new & the bearings great. WRONG. Boat to FL, two blow outs in NM. Got reparied & took it upon myself to buy all new tires. Could not contact buyer prior but he was thankful & reimbursed me for tires & road service. Ron (4/8/2006)
Response: Great. Thank you Ron. I am going to contact the seller now and ask about the tires and a spare. Thank You, Jim (4/8/2006)
Question: I see you live in Walnut. I lived in Orange County most of my life. Now retired in Az. on the Colorado River. Love it ! Can't find a boat you like closer ? (4/8/2006)
Response: Hello. I have been looking for this particular model that is in good shape. I have not had any luck between here and Arizona. Thank You, Jim (4/8/2006)
Question: How is the purchase of your boat going ? Ron (4/13/2006)
Response: Hi Ron. It looks like I am going to get the boat. I am looking at you and one other person to bring the boat to me. Ron, can you give me some days, times for the rest of this month that are NOT good for you to get the boat. Thank You, Jim (4/13/2006)
Question: Jim, thank you so much for considering me to transport your boat. At this time I do not have any pulling jobs to that area. I wish I could find something. The boat I pulled from NC to WA was shrink wrapped. Pretty good idea for that long of a trip but I was pulling in the snow.Who ever you choose get all the info you can . I personally have never taken any money up front. Ron (4/13/2006)
Response: Okay Ron, thank you. I just want to make sure I understand. You can NOT take this job. Is that correct? Thank You, Jim (4/13/2006)
Question: That is correct Jim. I sure wish I could but it's 2000 miles from me. Thanks again for considering me. If you ever got to the Colorado River or Lake Mohave look me up. Contact uship & get my # Ron (4/13/2006)
Response: Hi Ron, Please let me know if you get another pulling job that would allow you to get my boat. Even if you have to change your bid a little bit. I have not had an answer from one person for two days and another for a day. This is BEFORE they get the job. This really worries me about entrusting my boat to them. Please let me know. Thank You, Jim (4/13/2006)
Question: hi jim i live about 200 miles from your boat can bring it to you next month for a 1.00 a mile have something in cal to pick up let me know will place a bid DAN (4/13/2006)
Response: Hi Dan. I plan on having the boat here by the end of the month. I will know in a day or so. If things don't work out that way, I will contact you. Thank You, Jim (4/13/2006)
Question: I live here in michigan, and would be able to do this for you. I could do it for under a $1.00 mile. I could do it for $1650. I have a registered transportation business here in Michigan. Please let me know if I can be of service to you. Thnak you - Andrea (Ruco Transoprt) (4/15/2006)
Response: Hi Andrea, Thank you for placing a bid. However, without feedback or any additional information about your ability to pull a big boat that far, I can not accept your bid. Thank You, Jim (4/15/2006)
Question: God Morning Jim, As you can see there is not much out there. I don't understand why that happens with drivers. (4/15/2006)
Question: Check my feedback. I would stay in contact with you, check my feedback especially from terry. (4/15/2006)
Response: I have read your feedback several times. Just my luck I guess that there is nothing going toward where my boat is that you could get. Anyway, as i said in my last email, let me know if there is a way this can be done. Thank You, Jim (4/15/2006)
Question: do you still need this shipped? if so maybe i can help thanks wilie (4/15/2006)
Response: Wilie, what happened? I answered your email and have not heard from you. Jim (4/15/2006)
Question: the feedback from terry (4/15/2006)
Question: Hi Jim - I would like to thank you for your time. I would like to tell you that I have a registered business here in michigan. You can look it up. The name of my business is Ruco Transport. I have pulled travel trailers acrossed the country, the largest being 36'. I would like the opportunity to be of service to you. The reason that I would be able to do this cheaper is because I have something going out there in the back of my cargo van. (4/15/2006)
Response: Andrea, two questions: How would I check on references (Your business) from here in california? And, Can your cargo van tow a 4000 pound boat and about a 2000 pound trailer? I would like to give you the job because I think it would be good for both of us. I am just not at ease with someone that has no feedback and no references that i can easily check. Thank You, Jim (4/15/2006)
Question: Hi Jim - You can look up Ruco Transport at the state of michigan web site. I would be able to send you referances as soon as you would like. I have a cargo van leased on with a major trucking company, and I also do some of my own work on the side. I can't leave any numbers here so that makes it hard! I use gmail and my business name as one word! I hope that helps you! Andrea (Ruco Transport) (4/15/2006)
Response: Andrea, I really do appreciate your effort in trying for this job. One of the questions I asked before was, is the cargo van capable of towing a 4000lb boat sitting on a trailer that probably is at least 2000 lbs. You did not answer that question. Thank you, Jim (4/15/2006)
Question: I am sorry about that jim. My cargo van is a Ford E350 superduty diesel. I can tow up to 15,000 lbs. (4/15/2006)
Response: Okay, thank you. I am close to accepting another bid that has been here for a while. If it does not work out, I will get back to you. Thank You, Jim (4/15/2006)
Question: Well thank you for your time Jim. Like I said, if I can be any service to you, just let me know. Thanks - Andrea(Ruco Transport) (4/15/2006)
