Question: VERIFICATION QUESTION: Measurement from toungue of trailer to O/B motor is? (Veterans Transport) (8/15/2006)
Question: I see that my answer to your door to door question did NOT take. The answer on the door to door was YES. Abilene to desired delivery destination in CA. (Veterans Transport) (8/16/2006)
Response: Sounds good to me, go ahead and place the bid. I'll find out the length tomorrow for sure, but I can't imagine it being more than 23-25 feet. When will you pick it up? (8/16/2006)
Question: If a Carrier goes NOT have an MC (Motor Carrier) number, then they have NO Insurance on your shipment either! Have to have Ins proof before the Government will issue an MC number. If you have NO MC #, you are illegally operating!!!!! In most cases the carrier has to have a DOT number as well because of the weight of the vehicle that they are operating!! DOT number is required on ALL Commercial vehicles!! Advise to you the shipper. DO NOT USE THEM! Question: Hauling Pro's here.........We would be able to do this haul at your target rate of 800.00 to pick up and deliver to locations specified in the shipment request. We have availability to pick up the end of Sept. Please let me know if you are interested, and I will submit the bid. Keep in mind that our routes fill rather quickly, so please get back to me soon if it sounds good to you. Thanks! (8/18/2006)
Response: The end of September is the soonest you can get it?? (8/18/2006)
Question: Shipper,I placed a bid of $700.00 to Bakersfield,Ca. because it would be easier for me. However, I can and will bring your boat to Discovery Bay for the target price of $800.00 because I am in Tx right now and want to get home to Ca.I will be leaving Tx within the next day, Sat, wheather I have something to tow or not.If you can make a decision by then it would work out for both of us. If not don't get caught up in all the garbage that these haulers throw at people. Find yourself a no nonsence hauler who will do the job and not cry about regulations and how cheap some one works for. These are the guys who confuse the hell out of shippers. GOD Bless You IN Your Decision, Gene (8/18/2006)
Question: Hauling Pro's here.........Unfortunately, we are booked until about Sept. 26th or so. (8/19/2006)
Question: Good Morning, I can wait until monday. Also, would it be at all possible to ask for 850.00 in order to pay for another nights stay? If this is acceptable let me know ASAP and I will place another bid when I hear from you or get on down the road. Thanks & GOD Bless you and yours, Gene (8/19/2006)
Question: Hello: I live in Sweetwater and could very well pick up your boat & trailer and deliver it for you if I can tow it to LA for 600 or your destination for the 800. I have 50,000 cargo ins. 750,000 liability & my mc#. I would need to pick up on the 30th or the 1st. Doc (8/21/2006)
Response: Sold! I'll take the $800 from Abilene to 94514 (SF area) if you don't mind. Please place the bid and I will accept. The 31st or the 1st should be great, that will work best with my schedule. (8/21/2006)
Question: Hello: I placed my bid to take your boat to SF area and you said your would accept the bid) but you have not accepted it yet. Have you made other arrangements or Do you still want it done? I need to know so I can reschedule something else if necessary. Please get back to me. Doc (8/27/2006)
Response: Sorry for not being able to accept yet. The place I bought the boat from has promised to pay the shipping fee, but I am having a hard time getting it from them (they are saying they 'have their own guy', but he is not available for awhile). So I should be talking with him today to hopefully get this all squared away at which time I will either accept or decline your bid depending on how the seller wants to handle it. Thanks for following up, I'll let you know ASAP. (8/28/2006)
