Question: Can this be done mid month? If so we have a very nice box stall for the mare and foal. It has a full divider wall to keep them totally private from any other horses. It is also enclosed so the baby will not have a bad experience with semi's and such. Most all our young haulers go in the stall, as they have free choice to water and hay and do not need to be tied. Response: The mare and foal would need to get off to stretch there legs one evening inbetween pick up and delivery. It would more than likely be in Villanow Ga. So once we pick up we will beheading south, one layover in Ga. Then on to you in florida. I will have 2 drops inbetween, but wont take to much time for this. 1/2 hour each.So if i pick up in morning or noonish we would be there the next day.Thanks and let us know if this works. (5/7/2008)

Going rates for transporters are anywhere from .65 cents a miles to 1.25 per mile, this is based on one horse. Just wanted to give you an idea what youre looking at. Response: HI REBECCA. ITS FRED. I WOULD BE ANXIOUS TO,THAT BABY IS ADORABLE. THIS IS THE DEAL WITH MOMMA AND BABY. I HAVE HAULED MARE AND FOAL BEFORE. I HAVE A 3 HORSE SLANT . I PULL THE DIVIDERS AND PUT THEM EITHER IN THE FRONT ,OR IN THE BACK.THIS GIVES THEM PLENTY OF ROOM. I REALLY DONT FEEL THAT ,IF IT WERE MY HORSES THAT,(FROM A TRANSPORTERS VIEW) THAT I WOULD WANT THE MARES HEAD TIED. FOR THE REASON THAT,IF YOUR IN TRAFFIC,OR BAD WEATHER AND YOU HAVE TO STOP IN A HURRY ,THE MARE RUNS A GOOD CHANCE OF STEPPING ON THE BABY. MOST FOALS WILL LAY DOWN WHEN WE ARE MOVING,AND IF THE MARE DOES NOT HAVE SOMETHING TO BRACE HERSELF ON ,OR IS LOOSE SHE HAS TO MUCH ROOM TO MOVE .AND WE DONT WANT ANYTHING TO HAPPEN TO THE MUNCHKIN. I CAN GIVE THEM ENOUGH ROOM IN MY TRAILER ,SO THE BABY CAN STILL NURSE,AND LAY DOWN. IF I HAVE TO ,WHEN I STOP TO FEED AND WATER ,I CAN GIVE THE FOAL EXTRA TIME TO MAKE SURE SHE NURSES.
